It's pretty rare that I get excited about something, but this is the real deal. It's a bit pricey but It is worth every penny because this is the book I go to when i need to look something up 90% of the time and I have almost every aviation book in print. Keep them coming Richy

I've been hearing from co-workers, who are pilots, to get this book. So I did, and it does not disappoint. It's very easy to understand and all info is very well referenced making it very easy to physically look up the regulation or reference.

Although NO pilot should be without this book, it does not necessarily have everything in it as the title would imply. As a flight instructor, this book is really great for teaching and reference for me and my students alike. However, it leans more towards regulations and little detail numbers and facts, than say aerodynamics, or in depth explanation of flight maneuvers. Don't expect to have a good explanation of Va, Effective vs Geometric pitch, or forces in a turn. No big deal though because these things are to be found easily in the FAA published books. its a little imposing and the pages are very busy but it is great to have around. All and All GREAT GREAT GREAT BOOK ITS FUNNY TOO! 5 stars for sure.

This book is an excellent addition to the library of any aviator. Mr. Lengel provides detailed descriptions of various aviation technical subject areas, and has gone through the trouble of cross-referencing almost all of the information within the book. I use it as one of my primary sources when teaching ground school.

...but entertaining and very well written. A tad of irony here and there...
A lot of useful insight for a non FAA Pilot like myself and good to rebrush your knowledge on the essentials. (Actually the title is really what this book is about) I wish there would be the same book for the JAA/EASA world.

The information contained is absolutely clear, easy to understand and in plain English for all kind of operation. I founded it in perfect conditions and before the time I was waiting for it. I highly recommended it.

Very detailed and well organized. I purchased the FAR/AIM at the same time and bounce back and forth between the two books reading what the refs say and enjoy the way this book explains it in more understandable English.
The book is for the most part black and white, but I used color pens to accent it. For example, for approach lights, taxiway turnoff lights and such. It’s a great companion study guide, or can be used as a stand alone reference as long as the rules don’t change. Apparently there is also an interactive app that I imagine would be kept more up to date, but haven’t used it.
It’s a larger paperback book, but is easy to read.

By far this is the best aviation book ever written, hands down! I own 2 copies and read through it constantly. It's a must own for the professional pilot and should be required reading / studying for ALL pilots! Thank you Richie!
