I love this book. The recipes are great and easy (usually). I first saw it at a friend's house (a chef), and decided I had to have it. I bought the Kindle edition against my instinct, but am loving it because you can take the whole thing to the grocery store, or anywhere else easier than the whole book. I still may buy the real book too because it's so great.

Rachel Khoo has successfully made classic French recipes easy and achievable for the everyday cook. The book is well written, clear and concise. If you have seen her BBC show of the same tittle, this is a must have book. Highly recommended.

This book is so user friendly regarding the recipes. I love the concept of being able to make French food no matter what kind of kitchen or level of cooking experience you have. Can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Delightfully charming in appearance, equally charming to read, you won't be surprised to find the meals you create from this cookbook make your taste buds melt until you find after a few mouthfuls you will only be able to pronounce it magnafic in French or at least, a French accent.

This book is beautiful and artful in content and design. The recipes are authenic and captured delectably in photos. It gives the reader a visual peek at the nocks and crannies of Paris...love this book!

Recipes seems really great, but author used the book as an excuse to do a photoshoot of herself- there are only a small smattering of images of the food, and entire 2-page layouts of the author in a cute outfit, looking like she is cooking. I think cookbooks should be about cooking, no? I also felt like because author took up so much space with photos of herself (some which are totally unrelated like her drinking coffee at a cafe...how does that relate??), some recipes received little to no explanation- like the recipe for souffles. Souffles are a complicated thing and the author just brushes over them with a very short explanation of how to do them.

The cover should have given me a clue as to the contents of the book- there are pictures of the author all over the cover, riding a bike, holding flowers- totally unrelated stuff. I am sad with this purchase.
