Review:My daughter in law just made a trip to NYC and ate at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill and I thought that it would be fun to get a cookbook from his restaurant. The book is excellent and the service was great as well. Read more
Review:Bourdain is an outspoken, frequently crass man and his writing is no different. Frankly I did not care how drunk he got or how often. I nearly quit reading because of his crassness. But I'm no quitter. The descriptions of the foods and places were worth wading through the unsavory parts. I have never watched his television show and after reading this, don't plan to in the future.
The most memorable character was the female owner of a Saigon restaurant. And the most impressive meal? A t... Read more
Review:I bought this for my girlfriend's birthday and so, she made ratatouille for Thanksgiving. Oh, so good, even if Bourdain's recipe has an abundance of steps. Although this is obviously a cookbook, there is a lot about technique and a philosophy of cooking. A good read, even when you're not in the kitchen. Read more

Though I am a amateur to Mexican cooking, I have started to experiment!
And my results thus far, though less photogenic than the photos in book, are at least tasty! Read more
Review:As a "seasoned" cook, I've been down most of the cooking routes: from the French classics, to one-hour gourmet, to complex vegetarian, to severe, healthy cooking by the docs. Now, I lean to this cookbook's style: simple, tasty, fresh and light -- somewhere between poached quenelles and fried tofu. This is a good grouping of contemporary recipes with zip, often with international flair (oriental, Mexican, etc.). Some recipes are updated twists on old faves like Tuna Melt but with artichokes; B... Read more
Review:I have lost weight easily with the diet, there are things I don't agree with, but the diet was written in 2002 and research has updated a few things. I did not find a lot to help to me in the cookbook but haven't fixed many recipes. Read more

Review:I have been watching the TV show and so purchased the book. I have tried a few recipes and .am pleased with the results. Thai chicken was the latest recipe I have tried and maybe again soon. I had bought it as a birthday present for my brother but purposely bought it early so I could check it out.
