This Cook's Country TV Show Cookbook is the best, most thorough, 564 pages of cookbook you will ever find. I have almost every cookbook put out by Cook's Country, America's Home Test Kitchen, Cook's Illustrated, and Edited by Christopher Kimball, and I can verify this is superb.
The cookbook begins with a Table of Contents, then a preface by Christopher Kimball, who gives us a history of the house in Vermont where this show is filmed. He talks about the town and what it means to him. Then, there is a welcome to the cookbook, with the names of everyone involved in the cooking show, the filming of the show, and the people involved in creating this cookbook. Now on to the scrumptious parts.
There are eleven chapters filled with food:
As Good As Grandmas
Fork In The Road Favorites
Steakhouse Specials
Our Sunday Best
Tex-Mex Favorites
Everybody Loves Italian
The State of Grilling
Rise and Shine Breakfasts and Breads
Great American Cakes and Cookies
Old Fashioned Fruit Desserts and Puddings
Save Room For Pie
Each chapter is filled with recipes from the past 8 years of shows. The recipes are pure Cook's Country, and the photos of the food had me salivating.
The next 30 pages are filled with Shopping For Equipment. Everything you would ever want or need. Followed by 25 pages of Stocking Your Pantry, 5 pages of Episode Directory and then 2 pages of Conversions and Equivalents. And, then a very large index.
There are photos of every recipe and photos on every page. This is a very large cookbook, well put together and highlighted. I can open it up and find my favorite recipe very easily. This cookbook is most reasonable in price for what you get. I cannot exclaim enough, how much I love it!
Highly Recommended. prisrob 09-13-15

I already liked the show and had wanted this book for quite some time. I am really happy with this one. I like the "
best of" reviews in the back for gadgets and other items. (I already owned several of these items and I totally agree.) I love the awesome huge pictures and the history of each recipe. The recipes can be lengthy but well worth the effort.

The best cooking show on television. And many of not most of their previous shows are on YouTube. They are very exacting and precise in their research and at the end of the day, are offering the very best way to do a particular recipe. The book is excellent.
