This book is going to be awesome for my Kindergartner. She loves books and I think this one will be a hit under the Christmas tree this year. I ran across this book while I was searching for something else, and I noticed all the great reviews. I couldn't wait to get it in, because this book is even neat for me. I love the size of the book and all the interesting facts included. This book will be a very useful and educational tool.

Great packaging/shipping, great book for a 5th grader who is very into the 50 states and traveling around the U.S. Vibrant pics, tons of facts; only downfall if I had to pick one-definitely not for the older crowd as animated.

The content of the book is great. I was disappointed opening it because the copy I received looks used. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my seven year old and didn't want to send it back since I ordered so close to Christmas. He has really enjoyed it, but I would have liked to received a new copy since that is what I paid for.

What I loved about this book was the interesting array of people & innovation featured from each state. It sparked such great discussion with my kids and really hit home that people from everywhere and all walks of life have contributed to the making of this country.

This book is very large and very nicely made. Every page is very detailed with facts about the states and beautiful drawings. I got this as a gift for my 7-year-old who loves learning about the states! I'm sure the beautiful pictures will help keep your child's attention while adding some valuable learning time in the mix.

Visually this book is a winner. My children enjoy flipping through on their own, as well as picking a state with me to really read about and focus on. My only criticism, is the information selected sometimes feels random, or unimportant in comparison to other possible facts/people/places that could have been selected.

I bought this book mistakenly thinking it was for children but after perusing it for 5 minutes I realized it was far too lovely for the urchin I'd originally bought it for. I'm keeping it for myself and give it pride of place on the coffee table and, occasionally, the bathroom where it never ceases to enchant and divert. It's both a pleasure to read and a delight to just ogle.

I'll get that kid some dystopic YA nonsense because I'm keeping The 50 States.

i ordered this book and it arrived soiled. i sent it back for a clean book and they sent me back the same soiled one that i returned. gotta love it! perhaps they only have one book...i quit and kept it!
