Review:America's Test Kitchen publishes probably the best complete cookbook ever created. American's Test Kitchen thoroughly tests, retests, updates, and improves every recipe before it is published in their cookbook. As a matter of fact, every recipe I have ever tried in this cookbook over the past three years has turned out perfect. Love this book! Read more
Review:This book is everything reviewers say it is. It is so good that it's sort of strange. What I mean is it uses an important mythic
book for healing examples and backs up each example with medical references!? Who does that? The book is simple to read,
a junior high school child can understand and use it and the suggestions always work. Heal yourself with food items already in
your kitchen or health food store. Nice. Read more
Review:I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy
The cookbook had a variety of recipies that were simplistic if you had the ingredients
First off I am a baker and love to use my pressure cooker for meals the ingredients that were called for are not the typical American pantry items I’m not talking about the main ingredients I’m talking about vanilla paste nope didn’t have that so crossed those recipies off my can do list
Then went looking for something else that one called for gh... Read more
Review:I’ve been a devoted fan of this culinary school trained chef for a number of years. Each recipe in Jenn’s beautiful cookbook has been “tested and perfected.” You can count on this book for inspiration, guided by gorgeous photos and tips from a pro for perfection. Her Braided Honey Challah, complete with braiding directions, is a showstopper and incredibly delicious, but then all Jenn’s recipes are. Every single one! Read more

Review:It is an absolute love affair between this book and myself. As I am in the process of learning how to cook and learning to like to cook, I fell instantly in love with this book. The recipe lists are short and the directions are to the point. The flavors here are so wonderful. Easy for a novice to make and wonderful for everyone to enjoy. I do.... Enjoy! Read more
Review:As a Southern church musician, reared by a grandmother born in the late 1800's the details of the customs, societal expectations, family eccentricities and community fixtures are "dead on." (pun intended) The friendly(?) competition between churches and individuals illustrates the status-consciousness of the matrons in towns and small cities. The recipes remind me of the comfort food of my youth. And no one has more characters than South.
If you are from the South, you'll recognize the peo... Read more

Review:This book might be good the Francophile who has never been to France and who never intends to visit.
It is extremely descriptive reflection of the author's time in France - of the simple everyday happenings and personalities one would encounter in France- it has the old grandmother telling you how to properly cut and cook the beans (most every Frenchie thinks their way is best) and the "sounds" of the cafes.. etc.... The author also tells us of the multiple occasions she refused to try French... Read more
Review:Sorry, Rach, but I'm very disappointed in this book. Other reviewers had commented on the lack of a decent amount of pictures and I will have to agree. As a matter of fact, there are even less than that. There are less than a handful and, like other reviewers, I like to see what the finished "product" is supposed to look like. The title implied to me that this would be a family meal type cookbook. Sunday dinners include everyone, right? I find that a very good percentage of the recipes are f... Read more
