Buying these books is ridiculous when you can rent them. We're broke college students so why spend $100+ on a book you barely use? This book was in such great condition the access code wasn't even scratched. I won't be scratching it and using it because I'm not sure of that voids the rental but it was nice to see. Don't buy text books unless it applies to your major and can be used for later reference. Otherwise you may end up like me with a stack of text books the school wouldn't buy back! I wish I would of known renting online was an option my freshman year; would of saved me a lot of money.

The book itself it very informative and easy to understand, some of the topics are actually interesting (to me) which is surprising for a text book. But it was is worse physical condition the description let on.

I really did not expect so much highlighting or the notes hand written in the margins. I understood the rating was "good" and I have ordered second hand books since 2003. This book is not in "good"condition in my opinion.

I used this book oftenly for my Rhetoric class. It was a good book in a very good condition. The only thing that I would recommend is to check in with the instructor prior purchasing to see whether or not if s/he requires students to study the textbook for his/her class.

This book is the text for a critical thinking class. The book covers rhetorical argument going back to Aritstotle and the logos, pathos, and ethos. The Roman rhetoric of Cicero is described along with Toulmin.

This book is amazing. I couldn't thank my English professor enough for finding a book that catches the readers attention and keeps you engaged in the learning process. So many times you get books that are boring and hard to keep your attention on point. the store had fast shipping and it allowed me to familarize myself with the book and get wrapped up in it but the class started.
