When I saw that this book was even being written, I was nervous. The teaser about killed me and I had heart palpitations and indigestion just thinking about Jared running, again.

After reading Aflame, I feel a thousand times better. Tate was given the chance to finally be in charge and take back some of the power Jared continually seemed to strip from her. It was nice to see Jared sweat a little, but it was even better to see these two get their HEA. The epilogue was gorgeous and I'm so glad that I got to see these two as adults.

I tripped onto Penelope Douglas through another author's link to books..I can't remember which author or which link, but I am so damn grateful I did. This was a phenomenally perfect way to somewhat end this series...I really hope that I am around to read about Kade, Dylan and the others if Penelope chooses to explore that end. I would pre-order those books right now if I could. I was blown away by this series; I WILL read more from this author, and Penelope, I think your writing is extraordinary. Congratulations on a job well done!

I loved Jared and Tate from the beginning and anxiously awaited Aflame. I enjoyed this series starting with Bully, and if you haven't read them from the first book you really need to do so. Aflame gave me the closure I needed for all of these characters.

All the boys Madoc, Jax and Jared are hot, but Jared is my favorite. Penelope gave us a beautiful story of growth, acceptance and love. I hate to see this series end, but Penelope did a beautiful job of wrapping it up.

Thanks for an amazing series!

I love their whole group. I even love that Penelope made us work for the happily ever after with Tate and Jared. This was a sweet story overall, even through all the pain you could see how much these two loved each other and just wanted to move past their mistakes and on to their future together.

I was great to see how all the other couples lives turned out and how everything was working out in the end. It really would be nice if there was just a little bit more, another extended epilogue or story of the next generation in high school. But whatever it is, I know I will totally read it.

I love Penelope Douglas... She gave us a perfect ending to an amazing series. As sad as I am to see it end this book was the perfect way to sum it all up. Two halves making their ways back to each other. Jared and Tate forever. I loved that this book not only gave us what we needed but what we all craved as well. I was a little afraid that too much angst would take place in this book. Characters dragging out unnecessary drama but that wasn't the case at all. This was a well written ending to a well loved series.

Thank - You Penelope for this series! Ive loved every book , but this one is my favorite. You draw us in and there isn't one thing you could of done different. The town, the Loop, all the different characters, childhood to adulthood you hit the marks all the way through! A lot of memories, regrets and milestones were brought back to me. And that's a good thing, that we can look back . . . I will truly miss this series and everything about it. It's hard to say goodbye. . . I can't wait for your next book Penelope!

First and foremost I want to thank Penelope Douglas for bringing Jared, Tate, Madoc, Fallon, Jax and Juliet/KC to us.

Aflame, was the perfect way to end this series. There was laugher, tears and true love. I want a best guy friend like Madoc, I have to say I fell more in love with him than Jared or Jax. Tate, proved once again she is strong and independent. Jared, showed us what growing up does to a person and how much he changed in order for him and Tate to last.

Even though we are saying goodbye to them, I can't wait to see what Pen has in store for us next. I will be impatiently waiting her next release.

I'm writing this review for the whole series since I sure did devour all 5 books in a day and a half. Now, I'm out living my life and Jared & Tate are still with me. I've seen other reviews say that this is over the top and what not... Well duh!!! It's romance, if I wanted real life I'd watch the History Channel. I loved this series, I loved Jared Trent, I love that Tate gave as good as she got. I sat on this story for a long time cause I don't like mean boys, but here's the thing... I kinda do like em. I was scared of feeling too much when I read this series, and I did. I felt everything and it was wonderful

I really enjoyed Aflame. Jared and Tate belong together and this story just proves that. The very last race that Jared and Tate had together was very touching. I think that maybe that is one of my favorite scenes they've had together..... I really hope Penelope knows just how well she brought Jared and Tate's story to an end. Penelope is so very talented and I'll continue to follow her. I'm not sure she could ever disappoint me with any story she puts out......

Penelope Douglas out did herself with this ending to a great series.
This is a story about doing what you need to to learn about yourself and when timing is right for everyone coming back stronger then ever.
Jared and Tate, Madoc and Fallon Jax and Juliet are all back carving out their own lives each couple have taught us that the road to true love may not always be easy but so worth it !
They will be missed but that's what reread are for!

But I loved all of the characters from the start. This author just makes you feel everything that the characters are going through. I am sad that this was the end of the series but I am crossing my fingers that there will be more to come in the future. For now I will go back and reread the series because I just can't stay away for too long.

Thank u Penelope for another great one. I am looking forward to reading your upcoming books.

I do not normally stay up stalking the store and then reading a book the whole night. Ok maybe I do stalk the store for my latest reading fix but staying up all night reading? No. The anticipation I had for this book scared me because rarely do books meet my expectations when I have built them up in my mind. I am so thrilled this was not the case with Aflame. It exceeded my expectations. There were moments my stomach knotted and I whispered "oh no" , moments I wasn't sure the box of tissue would be enough. Ms. Douglas there are not enough words to express my thanks to you for exceeding my hopes for this conclusion to a series I love. My most humble thanks for being brave and taking us on this journey of Jared and Tate.

I hesitated to purchase and start the journey with Bully. I long ago graduated High School and wasn't sure if I could relate or be interested in characters so much younger than me. I am so glad a friend in one of my reading groups convinced me to read Bully. Your characters are relatable and messages transcend age. I am sad this is the end of a series that has meant so much to me and others. I am excited to take new and exciting journeys with you in the future.

Onto the review of Aflame.

Story quality: 5+ stars. I could not put this book down.

Story Pace: 5+ stars. Fast pace and held my attention from beginning to end.

Characters:
Heroine: 5+ stars Tate was relatable, I connected with her and understood why her actions were taken. I loved Tate from the beginning. This is the book she comes into her own as a character. Painful, stubborn and totally Kick A@@.

Hero: 5+ stars Jared is not an easy hero. He probably scoffs at me to referring to him as such. He's a tough anti social character. Hard to love because he will not conform to the standard expectations of a hero. If you peel back the layers you will love what is underneath. Oh Jared will make you work for it but he's worth it.

Madoc is the shining star and is in no way a secondary character. Madoc is second to none and if I could give him a 50 star rating I would do so in a heartbeat. He is a scene stealer for sure.
The inclusion of Jax, Juliet, Fallon and Katherine from previous books was wonderful. These characters have been important parts of each other's lives and it would not have been the same book without them.

Do I recommend Aflame? Whole heartedly.
This is not a stand alone novel you need to read:
Bully
Until You
Rival
Falling Away

I choose not to say goodbye to these characters just farewell. As long as these books are in my library I will revisit and take the Fall Away journey over and over again, that's our gift from Penelope Douglas.

I've anticipated a book release before. However, this is the first book that had me biting my nails waiting for my preorder to download. I denied myself sleep and went on a marathon reading session. I cannot even put into words how I feel after finishing Aflame. I laughed, I cried... I felt everything. It was the perfect ending for the Falling Away series. The cherry on top. I loved it and if I could give it a million stars I would!!!!

This book was a fantastic ending to an unbelievably amazing series! ...However I'm still sad it's over :(
I was surprised at the ending of Falling Away, but I really do feel like it was necessary. Jared needed to figure out who he was without hiding behind all of the hurt he carried around. He needed to figure out how to be happy in himself. And really they both end up growing as individuals and it only makes their love stronger!

It's an absolutely wonderful story. I haven't been in love with characters this much since Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Stories are completely different yet my love for Jared, Tate, and the gang are just as strong. I knew from the get go there was only on way the story would end, and Penelope Douglas you didn't disappoint for one minute. Every line was pure gold. From the first word in "Bully" to the last in "Aflame" this has an incredible journey and I'm glad I got to experience it and relive parts from my own high school and early adulthood. It's also helped me find a way to move on and accept my mistakes and put regrets to rest. You will not regret this read. Go forth and rediscover love in all its messy glory.

I absolutely loved this series! Jared and Tate are perfect together. There were some parts that were just so frustrating, but I think that just made it better. This book showed me that true love will always win in the end; everything else will have to just fall into place. I'm sad the series had to come to an end, but I think this was the best way to end it. Thank you Penelope for such wonderful characters, and such interesting stories. I look forward to what you have in store for the future. ?

I absolutely loved this finale of The Fall Away series. These characters were real to me too and I can't get enough, I wish the story would never end. I loved hearing about all of their happy endings and their loving family. I hope you do write about their children someday or possibly a reunion of these characters in the future with their lives more established and their families bigger. This series is a must read.

This release was very much anticipated after reading the rest of the series. It was a perfect ending, leaving all the main characters perfectly in their happy ever after. I feel like I know them all so well, it is sad to see it end. I will miss Modoc most I believe. :). I will always wish for more, but that is only because it is Penelope Douglas and she is that awesome. Looking forward to her next novel.

Now that's how you write a freaking ending!!!!! I'm so excited even my insides are leaping for joy!!! I may of loved this better than bully. Well I mean it is Jared and Tate we are taking about here so I freaking love anything about them. Nothing would ever be boring with these two. I'm just so freaking happy right now that I want to jump up and down and squeal!!!!! AMAZE-FREAKING-BALLS!!!!!!!!!

This was a good continuation of Bully, but I would have been perfectly happy leaving Bully how it ended. I didn't think the story needed to be stretched out into another book even though Aflame is a good read. Bully was by far better as well as the others in this series, in my opinion. Sometimes it's best to leave a story as a standalone.

With that said, Aflame is a good read and if you enjoyed any of the other books in this series then you will probably enjoy this one, too.

Geez the anticipation to finally be able to read the ending to the loves of Jared, Tate, Madoc, Fallon, Jax & Juliet was huge! I really do love these characters. The first half of this book was good but probably not what I expected, the 2nd half was beyond incredible and gave me everything I could have ever asked for. Thanks for giving us these characters and their stories Penelope!

I'm finally finished with the whole fall away series and I truly enjoyed all the books. But This one here was about challenges and growth and he was amazing to see all the gang stick together and grow. In the beginning I was sad to see Jared and Tate break up but I understood that Jared wanted to be better and I'm glad he and Tate wad able to heal old wounds and become one. Two thumbs up penelope and a beautiful ending to a great series. Speechless!!!!!

Absolutely perfect way to end the series. Jared and Tate have been through so much together that they are almost codependent which I guess is the downside of finding your soulmate so young so they each have to find their own way because growing strong apart only means being unbreakable together, if you love The Fall Away gang, read this there's a little bit of all of them and you get to see where they all end up, go 1 click now, I promise you won't regret it!!

Why, why, why would an author take a beloved couple who already had their HEA and separate them for TWO YEARS? This didn't sit well with me. Not to mention it takes only two days for them to forget all the crap they put each other through and we are just supposed to appreciate this. The long separation was totallly unnecessary. It makes me not trust this author with her characters and HEA. I did enjoy learning about the future of all the characters but this could of been done in an epilogue or a novella.

Extremely happy that Penelope told her story and not want the fans thought they wanted. I'm happy that Tate become a chic that rivaled Charlie's Angled and not a princess who needed rescuing. The story is complete with the happy ever after. Wow just completely unbelievable I couldn't put it down. Read the series it's the best I've ever read.
Thanks Pen you kick a$$!!!!!!

What can I say...

Without a doubt the most anticipated book of the year for me. And it was perfect.

I literally feel like I want to cry because we have to say goodbye. How do you say goodbye to characters you've fallen in love with? It's freaking hard!

Penelope, you've brought so much joy to me because of this series. Thank you!!

I really have no words to describe how awesome this book was. I absolutely loved it and getting the glimpse into the other characters lives as well. Jared and Tate were meant to be together and the love they shared proved to be strong enough to survive all the hurt, pain, and bumps along the way. I hate to see it end but it was the best way to end.

Job well done ~ After reading the teaser in Falling Away I was eager to read this story and I knew that Penelope would not let me down!!! This series ended right where it needed to, ups and downs included. I will miss the gang but the epilogue helps puts my heart at ease......

This final book of the series was very emotional for me. I found myself crying more then I anticipated. I really fell in love with Tate and Jared's characters and of course their story.
I hope their is a series for the next generation cause there is lots of them and oh I'm sure they will be a handful of trouble.

This was a fabulous ending ! I absolutely loved that we didn't spend the book with constant fights and denials. The fact that Jared wasn't denying his feelings for Tate made the book feel much more passionate. We have already experienced theses two in hate in love and in denial, so to watch as they cemented their lives together was amazing. If you haven't read this series , read it!

I have enjoyed this series thoroughly since the beginning. It was bittersweet to finish this book. I loved the journey of Jared and Tate and getting to revisit with all of the characters was so much fun. I'm sad to see the end of these characters but it was done so wonderfully and I'm hopeful that Penelope will feel the pull of the kids' stories bringing us back in to the world of Shelbourne Falls.

I want to cry. Aflame was perfect. I believe that Penelope not only eased our nerves and hearts about Jared and Tate but gave us a little extra by answering all our unanswered questions about everyone else in the story. In all, this was a perfect ending and I'm finding it hard to accept that it's over. Thank you Penelope for sharing Jared ad Tate, Madoc and Fallon, and Jax and Juliet's stories with us.

How can you end a wonderful series, that grips your heart and soul?! By, going out with a bang!! Penelope Douglas is by far a wonderful, talented, author. The way she writes a story you are drawn in completely with the characters, that you don't want the series to end. She is one of my best authors ever!

I really loved and enjoyed this book. Really loved the whole story and the story line. Really loved the way Jared and Tate had to grow up and find each other when the time was right. I really loved what the author did and thought it was better for Jared and Tate and a perfect way to end there story. A really great series. Cant wait to read more by this wonderful author.

The five star rating is for the whole series, one of my favourites. This book wasn't the strongest in the series but it was a good wrap up and it was great to get back in Jared and Tate's relationship and individual heads again. The thing I hate about this book? It is the last of one of a favourite series, I hope the author does go on and write about the next generation.

Penelope Douglas does it again! I was fortunate to receive an ARC from the author and for anyone who has been reading the Fall Away series, Aflame is not to be missed. Everyone from the Fall Away series is present in this book. Aflame takes place about 2 years after Falling Away with Jared returning home to Shelburne Falls for a major family event. My favorite characters throughout this whole series has always been Jared and Tate so another book about them is a real treat to me. There are parts of them that are reminiscent of Bully/Until You and parts of them that have grown up. I loved the relationship between Madoc and Tate. This book answers all the questions about what happened during the last 2 years as well as what the future has in store for everyone. Aflame includes all the familiar aspects from the prior stories like the Loop, the tree, Madman and even previous characters. Jared is a man now and he's no longer haunted by his dad's influence. That is one of the most rewarding aspects about Jared's character development, to see him free from his past even though he will never forget it, and going after what he wants. He's always kept his emotions on lock down and unwilling to show any vulnerability except when it comes to Tate. Any time Jared does show emotion is a pretty pivotal scene. Tate isn't the same girl from 2 years ago either, she won't give out her heart or trust freely, but Jared is determined to earn her heart back. In the process, Jared discovers more about himself and his vision for the future with added clarity. Perhaps the home he ran away from was the home he originally belonged to all along.
