Oh Jax, how many times I could have smacked you! Juliet, wondered why he called her that in the previews, had so much patience to keep forgiving him. They both had s*** childhoods, his worse than hers, but they needed each other. It was a long road but they do find their HEA.
Now the preview for Aflame, hated to see that happening but if it was going to, best to happen when they were young and wouldn't involve others. I worry that Jared will turn back to his old ways, I don't think I will like him much or root for him if he sleeps around.

Love Love Love this series. I have been waiting on Jax's book and it didn't disappoint. There couldn't have been 2 more damaged people who are deserving of finding and keeping love. This book made me ugly cry and my only complaint is that I wanted more!!!!!

Push and pull.
Give and take,
Accelerate. Release.

Jaxon is the guy she’s supposed to avoid.

K.C. is the girl he won’t let get away....

I was so excited to finally get to read Jax' s story. What an emotional " fun house " ride! The prologue to Aflame sounds like it is going to be another tear jerked. Love them so bring it Pen!

"For someone so dark and wild, his eyes were so out of place but never seemed wrong. They were the color of a tropical sea. The color of the sky right before storm clouds rolled in. Tate called them azure. I called them Hell." ~K.C.

I read this because I really wanted to read Aflame. I read Bully and loved Jared and Tate. So I would almost say this could be a stand alone as I didn't read the two books before it.
We have KC and Jax in this book. After a few rounds of cat and mouse, in which the sparks just ignite with these two.
We have lots of angst going on with all the plots and sub plots going. Everything just fell into place.
At the end can cut the tension with a knife for one of our happy couples....
On to Aflame which is now available, and last book in the series.
I would recommend this book.

Just one word to described this book, this series fantastic, I love this series and every book, this book like the other is so heartbreaking and fascinating that I. Couldn't stop until I reach the end in just 12 hours I just can't wait till the final book comes though I will be really sad when this series end for real I can't have enough of Jared, Tate, madoc, Fallon, Jaxon and Juliet (k.c.)

This book totally took my breath away! Where as this entire series is very emotional and somewhat intimate, Jax & Juliet's (K.C.) story was so deep. The abuse they both suffered in their own households at the hands of sick parents was heartbreaking. The walls they had both built for different reasons, I don't think would have ever come down, had they been with other people. This series just gets better!

If you haven't guessed, I just liked this book....a LOT! It filled a lot of the spaces from the previous books. (at least in my mind) I have to say I think it is my favorite of the series because it gave more context and really conveyed the depth of feelings in the characters.

A personal preference, would be if these characters sought out help. I doubt with the abuse suffered that the characters would be able to maintain a healthy relationship without it. But, I realize this is fiction. Suffice it to say, I still thought this book was awesome.

In my favorites.

Words escape me but Penelope apparently has not lost her gift for laying them down. Falling Away was everything I expected and more. The very first thing I came to love about FA was the build up of sexual tension. By the time these two came together I was more than craving it, I was stark raving mad for it.

I loved Bully. I loved Until You. I love Rival. Falling Away is my favorite.

Bully & Until You was great, although the boy hates girl has been done many times over, she delivered anyway.
Rival was also incredible with yet another storyline of step-brother/stepsister but she delivered.

Falling Away was not only AMAZING but UNIQUE. Jaxon Trent and Juliet (K.C.) Carter had the most compelling story that stemmed from their trouble pasts. But their pasts are what made them destined for each other even though they each fought tooth and nail —KC in the beginning, Jax at the end. I'm so happy they found their happy ever after.

Oh and I could see why little bro made the erotica category. That popsicle scene and the dirty talk? Yummy! (And I would never say something as corny as 'yummy' unless I meant it.)

Despite my love for the story, I ended my time with Falling Away feeling incredibly sad. Sad for Jared and Tate that is. I won't spoil it but just know that I am eager for Aflame as I knew many readers are. I need closure. I need to see Jared and Tate make it. These two are the foundation of The Fall Away Series. Fall Away forever.

All of Penelope Douglas's stories are intriguing in part because they make you feel! Jaxon can be so cold and heartless at times and so broodingly loving at others. I swear, Penelope's male characters are those bad boys of our worst fantasies - the one's where we think we can change the bad boys...and yet her female leads do! The story builds with fire from the start. The characters are complex, their lives flawed but they always preserve. The town and the band of surrounding charters help make this story rich and memorable. And, the sex is incredibly hot! I've read them all but this one sticks out as one of the best.

I really enjoyed getting to know Jax better. K.C.'s background was very surprising. They had a lot more in common than either of them ever realized. I loved the ending when EVERYONE stakes their claim on Jax.it brought tears to my eyes.

Angst, sex, repeat is basically the plot of this. I used to feed on angst and that all consuming terror filled deep love that can only come in your late teens & early 20's. If that's what you like- you'll love this. I, apparently, am old now. Because this annoyed me.

You r one of my favorite authors. I cannot decide of the three who I like the best, but the ending with Jared and Tate about broke my heart.. Maybe that means he's my favorite. Anyways an amazing book as always. I absolutely love this series, it has been a roller coaster ride with these boys, especially the Trent boys and following the heartache they went through was tough, but to find happiness in each one and the journey to get there has been incredible.. Cannot wait to read your next book ... Thank you again for being an amazing author

Another amazing story, as always!!! I loved K.C. and Jax! From their beginning they were meant to be together but they each had to get some other things out of the way so that they could be their best selfs for each other! I loved how K.C. transformed in this story to be strong enough to handle what Jax had to deal with and how Jax finally let down his walls enough to let her in. To be able to get glimpses of Tate, Jared, Madoc and Fallon also was an extra bonus since I love them all.

I cannot say how exceptionally excited I was for this book to be released. There is so munch depth to K. C. and Jax that I had no idea how it was all going to play out. My emotions were all over the place as I read this book. I devoured it but didn't want it to end. And what an ending it had! Loved it!!

And can I just say...the excerpt from Aflame...O. M. G.

We all want to belong. To be loved and cherished. Knowing that you matter that your enough. To me this is the common thread in this love story. The emotion in this book filled my heart and my soul. The words vividly leapt of the page. I felt every tear, laugh, and touch. Jaxon and Juliet aka KC are explosive together. The heat and tenderness between them can't be put into words. Penelope I loved it. Buy it now! You will be amazed.

I've been looking forward to Jax's story. Juliet was a nice surprise as well. Jax grew up to be so damn cocky just like his older brother Jarod was. This made me want to smack him a couple of times but in the end well... it's Jax and you gots to love him. :) As for Juliet.... well she was fantastic in this book. I loved the part when she's tutoring. When she had them read the journal entry... WOW. I had myself some feelers going on. Great job Penelope. Can't wait for Aflame.

This book was well written and well edited. So why only 4 stars? Personal preference.

Although the author captures romance fabulously with her writing, and the story is exciting, interesting, and has great depth, the relationship is somewhat abusive and involves the hero being involved in illegal dealings in a way that implies that doing such activities is ok and beneficial. For those two details I have to dock a star from this otherwise great book.

Sometimes when you read a series yo get a picture of the characters you read about. K.C. Is not exactly the girl I expected. Everything about her is unexpected. From minor things to the end. I like her. K.C. is Juliet and she just wants to be loved...

Jaxon is lost. He is just as unexpected. Has his life perfect (don't they all). He has plans from the beginning (from his beginning). Jaxson is like Juliet he just doesn't know he already has what he wants

My favorite book by Penelope so far. The two main characters in this book are so well developed you can't help but fall in love with them. There are times you want to smack them upside the head and other times you want to be on the sidelines cheering them on with a big foam finger. KC blew me away. When I first started this series I had no plans whatso ever of ever liking her. I thought she was a self serving person, who didn't know where her loyalties lay. But I was pleasantly surprised by her character. She is perfect for Jax.

Jax and Juliet (K.C.). This was an intense story. They both have come from such messed up backgrounds and have so much riding against them. I truly loved this book. It is by far my favorite so far in the series (with only 1 book remaining).

Stop reading reviews and buy this book! I've read each of the Fall away novels. Each book is better than the last. Pen elope has great skill with character development and dialogue. The interaction between KC and Jax, push and pull, give and take...fantastic. Getting to visit with Madoc, Fallon, Jared and Tate was awesome too.

Really, get this series! You won't be disappointed.

Wow, this was an amazing read. Jaxon and Juliet aka KC are on fire together! The chemistry and the storyline had me hooked! I was not disappointed with this one at all! I laughed, I cried, and I want to read it again! Lol and I loved having Madoc, Fallon, Jared and Tate all in the mix as well. I can't wait for Aflame to come out in April. That preview at the end had me in tears. Love this series and I highly recommend.

Excellent continuation of the series. I do not do reviews on a regular basis. Because for the simple reason that it is rare a book delivers the whole package of a quality story. Penelope had me from the very first page of Bully, when she was brand new and offered the book for free. I was hooked on her writing from there. I am an voracious book reader, it's my thing, I know what I am looking for in a book, emotion and connection, the book makes you feel the emotion through the connection with the characters. Finding that is rare. Jared and Tate are my favorite but the series is exceptional and a guaranteed read for me hands down . This book delivers.

Love! Love! Love!

Penelope Douglas, I get lost in the world you have created when I read your books. Falling Away made my palms sweat, my stomach flip, my heart melt, my cheeks blush, and I loved every minute of it.

Jax and Juliet ignite the page. Their story is raw, gritty, and heart melting all rolled into one.

Bring on Aflame!

Completely surprised how much I love Jax, even if he made me mad with his treatment of K.C. I loved this book and it gives Bully some competition in being my favorite book in this series! The scenes and tension between those two were hot, I couldn't get enough of them! Being able to read about the previous couples was an added bonus, I don't want this series to end!

Penelope Douglas had me turning the pages until 5 a.m. I could not pot this book down. I an I'm love with this series. This is probably my 2nd favorite book in this series my first is Madoc and Tates story. But this book had its pages on fire as well. I looked up and at one point ave it was 2 in the morning and then 4 and I had 100 pages left so I pushed through until the end I was not putting off down until I finished. And in so glad I didn't this book had me on my this toes. If you haven't read the series Drawer from the beginning with Bully in 100 percent sure you will fall in love ave not just the characters but with Penelope Douglas add well. She is a talented writer for sure.

I just love Penelope Douglas, if we could be friends my life would be complete. Her books are New Adult and filled with hot guys, hot cars, more hot tattooed guys, and some snappy gals that can keep them in line. Start with Bully and go form there :)
Your. Welcome. In advance.

Wow...Penelope Douglas has done it again! I love the entire Fall Away Series and Bully will always be my favorite, however, Falling Away is a close second! The story is well written and kept me laughing and crying and enjoying my book hangover! It was hard to put this book down but i did have to put it down to get my emotions together. I will definitely be reading this book over and over again.

Just when I thought Penelope couldn't top her last book. She proves me wrong once again! I loved the story of Jax and K.C.! It was explosive, bittersweet at times! But there was never a dull moment. Definite great read and if you haven't read the first books of the series. Ya need to catch up! You won't be disappointed!

Can't wait for the next book!

This series has been so fantastic. Each book compliments the other in the series so perfectly.
I love that these characters take up a little piece of your heart and stay there. I don't think I will ever forget these 6 young adults and their journeys.

Bravo! Penelope Douglas

Love love love Falling Away.
What an amazing journey for these two. What they go through in their pasts, but also together.
I wasn't sure I could like K.C after Bully but of course Penelope Douglas works her magic again. I love her!
And Jax?! There's no words to describe him. He's certainly my fave.
Can't wait for anything/everything that's coming! :D
Thank you for your brilliance Penelope!
