Oh my goodness I honestly had no expectations of this book ( only that I know I love all of Karina's books). This book would have blown any expectation out of the water. I loved Will and Jackies story!

Love this love story about Will and Jackie and how despite coming out of and getting over past relationships that caused them pain in different ways they took a chance at love again with each other and found true happiness.

I decided to purchase this book because of the amazing reviews and because I've read Karina Halle in the past and I enjoyed her writing style. Her characters always seem like real people, never 100% perfect and never 100% damaged, broken, or messed up to the point where they are annoying either.
With that being said, I must say that I really enjoyed this book. The main character, Jackie to me, was so refreshing. So many times you read these romance novels that have women with perfect bodies, and any time there's a scene where they are eating they are eating lettuce and water, or they work out constantly. While I don't necessarily have a problem with that per say, it is very refreshing to read about someone who is more like myself. Curvy and loves to eat!
Jackie does have baggage and a past that has tainted her, but none of that matters to Will. They have some hurdles to get over and there are times when I wanted to yell at Jackie to just let herself be happy! But to me, that is a sign of a good writer. When you really get invested and emotionally involved in a story. This book made me frustrated, tear up, and laugh all in one. Not to mention the love scenes are H-O-T! My only problem with this book was that it was too short! I will definitely be reading more Karina Halle in the future!

Just love the way Karina Halle put her heart & soul into every novel she writes. Her writing enables you to feel what the characters are feeling. Her descriptive writing leaves no guessing what Jackie looks like or Will. The ups & downs of the relationships were difficult sometimes but realistic. The flamboyancy of the story kept your interest peaked so you continued to read! Thanks Karina another delightful story....

Love this author, but did no one read this before publishing? The errors in it - wow. You would think an author of this caliber would have better editors/proofreaders. Story was just ok, instant love thing did not work here. Male leads introspective sounded kind of feminine and whiny too. But the story did pick up towards the end of the book.

ohhh!! Such a great love story! Romance. Funny. Good looking man. A son. Forbidden work romance. Equals a great love story. I finished this book with a happy heart. The next book I read I'm sure won't equal this feeling....

I hear and read a lot about women being independent and not needing a man in their life. Cool. Happy for you. Glad you're strong enough to carry the load on your own. Here's the thing...you may not need a man but there is nothing wrong with wanting someone to share your load. It's nice to have someone at your back, or to talk to when you're having a good or bad day. Finding the right person to want is not always easy. Sometimes you have to get it wrong before you get it right. Unfortunately, getting it wrong can make you hesitate to keep searching for right. There are no rules when it comes to finding what you want. You can even find right, when on paper, they look wrong. Before I Ever Met You is about finding right after wrong and learning that what you want can eventually turn into a need...and that's OK.
Before I Met You was a steamy read that kept my interest from start to finish. The characters were lovable and a little battered. Their strength and determination to move on after heartbreak was admirable. I envied them to be honest. I'm not sure I would have the strength to trust my heart to someone new after what they had suffered through.
I will be honest and admit that I am surprised I loved it as much as I did. There's a significant age difference between the main characters with the hero more than ten years her senior. Luckily, the hero made it extremely easy to get past it and the heroine was mature for her age.
I really enjoyed this love story and finished with a big grin on my face.

I love books that are more about the relationship than the sex...although you need that! This story was beautifully written with solid, honest characters an of course, Will is freaking gorgeous and the alpha man and gentleman every woman wants!!

I really wanted to like this book. The character are nice and Karina's writing is great as usual. But I'm not a fan of the insta love and heavy weight talk straightaway.
I had a to skip a lot of the book just to get to the point.

Once again,Karina delivers a book that I loved from start to finish. Literally couldn't put it down.
Before I ever met you has one my favorite characters from her so far. It's not the typical "office romance",it's a story about second chances.
Will McAlister ,moves back to Vancouver after a terrible divorce to work as the Vice President of Mad Men,the company he owns along his business partner and closest friend.
Jackie Phillips is a 25 years old single mom who, after living a freaking hell, moves with her 7 year old son Ty back to her parents house.
While she's trying to get her life together, her father (President of Mad Men and Will's associate) finds her a job as his assistant.
The thing is: Will is not the man that she remembered and Jackie is no longer the kid he knew anymore.
Soon enough, sparkles are flying all over the place and it's impossible not to see these two are perfect for each other.
Will is the perfect package: 41 years old, perfect gentleman, handsome, smart and caring and Jackie is one of the strongest characters I know! Sassy, fierceless, funny.
The chemistry between them is simply amazing.
The relationship between him & Ty is heart melting.
Funny one liners, sexy, swoony moments,romance.....this book has it all.

I think my favorite thing about Karina's books are that they play out like a movie. Of course, that includes the characters. They just fit together so well. And once again, she hit it out of the park with Before I Ever Met You. It was so easy (and quite a pleasure) to imagine Will as the nice guy version of Don Draper while reading. What a dream. And I was thoroughly impressed with Jackie. I thought Karina described her dealing with motherhood so well. The guilt, the self-sacrifice, the all-consuming love of your child. It was beautiful. This book was mostly light-hearted. I'm all for angst, but it wasn't necessary in this book. It was really just a love story between two broken people who are intent on picking themselves back up and healing. I loved it.

Really good easy read. Loved the characters. Even the secondary characters were entertaining. The pace of the story was perfect and kept me turning pages. This is my first book by this author and I can't wait to read more of her books.
