...But it did really creep me out. :) I think what made this story not as good as the first was the relationship between Dani and Tommy. I don't feel like there was ever a moment when they declared that they were dating...maybe it happened somewhere between the first and second book. :S The romance didn't feel authentic and real, except for when they had conflict and had to work it out. The supernatural mystery was definitely more developed in this book...the first book did a good job of introducing the overarching mystery/plot, and this second one built on that quite heavily. I felt that at the beginning of the book, there was quite a bit of time spent reintroducing everything from the first book...something I've noticed with Ms. Wiehl before. It is probably great for people beginning in the middle of the series or someone who read the first book a while ago, but it is an annoyance for someone who recently finished the first book. Not a deal breaker, just something I've noticed. Overall, this is a great clean read, and I'm excited to finish the series.

The first book in the series, Waking Hours (The East Salem Trilogy), was so good; it breaks my heart to say that book two just doesn't measure up.

In book two, familiar characters from book one reappear, with the addition of an American Indian who may not be all he appears to be and a creature from folklore known as a wendigo. I was captured almost immediately. The book opens with the ill-fated centarian Abbie Gardner, who gets the life crushed out of her by a demonic creature. Not a spoiler - it happens in the opening pages. Dani and Tommy are still the main protagonists of the story, but their feelings for each other turn a little further to soap opera-style with secrets and lies disrupting what could be a nice romantic relationship into one that has serious trust issues. This book also ended on a slightly steeper cliffhanger than book one that seemed a bit off ... too sharply cut off.

The best part of this series is the good vs evil storyline. God and angels are present as well as demonic forces. This book had a slightly stronger religious viewpoint than book one, but didn't sermonize either, which helped to keep me interested. I don't like to be preached to by the books I read.

Though I felt this book was a bit flawed, I will be thrilled to read book three.

Truly the only reservation I have of "Darkness Rising" is that I wish I'd read the first one first. Starting with book two in any series can leave you feeling like you came into the play on the second act but Lis Wiehl and Pete Nelson do a nice job of weaving background into the story without a ton of flashback or boring narrative.
Something evil is at work in East Salem and main characters Dani Harris, a forensic psychiatrist, and Tommy Gunderson, former NFL player, are the only ones who seem to sense it. The suspicious death of an elderly woman and the arrival of a dark and menacing antique painting at a local school seem to be linked, but how? An angel named Charlie and a storytelling Native American add depth and intrigue while certain evil spirits are bound to bring a few chills. (Warning, if you're of a nightmare-prone type, you may want to only read this is daylight.)
I thought this was a fun book for high school grades and up. The evil characters might be a bit strong for middle graders but the story moves well, contains a few surprises and keeps the reader turning pages. It may not be a literary classic, but it does have me waiting for the sequel!

This book was very interesting. The second in the East Salem series I was intrigued to see how Whiel would continue the story that was so riveting. The second book in the series was just as exciting as the first, however the excitement came from a different place. The first book in this series has a "cop show" feel with a little bit of the spiritual realm mixed in. The second book had tons of spiritual warfare, demons and angels throughout the whole book and only a little CSI mixed in. I enjoyed both books, however I felt like Darkness Rising started out slow in the first few chapters. I felt like Whiel spent too long reintroducing characters, but that may be because I had read the first book and then immediately started the second book.
I would not recommend this book for anyone who cannot immerse themselves in the type of fiction dealing with the spiritual realm. I find that type of writing fascinating and often very enjoyable. If you are like me and enjoy that kind of story then this is a great book to pick up! A novel story about the end of the world and how the army of God is going to fight back. I enjoyed reading this book and will probably pick it up again in the future. I would rate the book 4/5 stars.

Description from publisher)

"The evil in East Salem is no longer content to hide in the shadows. The stakes--and the darkness--are rising.

"Dani Harris thought there wasn't much left that could surprise her after serving as a forensic psychiatrist in East Salem. And Tommy Gunderson has faced few challenges in his life that he couldn't overcome by either physical strength or his celebrity status.
But as they race to uncover what's really happening behind the high walls of St. Adrian's Academy, it becomes clear that supernatural forces have been at work here for generations. And now their focus is on making sure Dani and Tommy don't interfere.

When the unseen becomes seen, faith is the only weapon strong enough to fight in a battle involving not just murder and betrayal--but angels and demons."

This is the second book in a trilogy but it was a great read without having the first book. It is always interesting to read about people who come upon an unexplainable event and can't think out of the margins enough to allow for all possibilities. The drug Provivilan is thought to be a great new feel good drug until it is slowly revealed that it is far more than that. Sadly, I could see such a situation happening in today's world.

I will be looking forward to reading the final book of the trilogy. After all, I have to find out if good or evil win out in the end :-)

This was an interesting book. I have to start by saying, this book is the 2nd in series and they should be read in order. Dani is a psychiatrist and Tommy former athlete. They solved a mystery already but not completely. There is still evil out there and it isn't content to be hunted, it wants to be out there.

The characters were all quite good. I thought how the author added the two exes in was a nice twist. I had issues with some parts because of not reading the first in this series and there is a LOT of medical knowledge shared that I skimmed because I was so detailed. That being said, I did enjoy it. The plot was unique and I really liked the spiritual and supernatural elements.

I rate this a 3/5. I think you need to have read the first book for this one to flow for you.

Thank you to the publisher for the review copy of this book (via Booksneeze). I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.

"Darkness Rising" by Lisa Wiehl, is the second book in the East Salem series. And NO!, it's not about Batman. Darkness Rising is a paranormal book about demons and angels and control over the world. Dani and Tommy, a psychologist and es-football player turned PI, respectively, have mostly solved the murder from the first novel in the series, Waking Hours, and are now searching for the solution to the mystery in the supernatural aspect of it. A demon has come between the two characters, while they round up their exes and friends to hunt down evil. It is a pretty good book. A lot of it is really involved medically. You wind up skimming over a lot of it unless you are a neurologist or something you won't understand some of it. Could get boring if you aren't interested in that sort of thing. If you read the first, you will want to read the second. I wouldn't say the first ins mandatory to reading the second. I received this book for free from [...]

Darkness is moving around East Salem. After the events in Waking Hours the darkness is getting worse. After discovering the person behind a gruesome murder, Dani and Tommy wade deeper in the supernatural world. No longer is it a fringe element, with angels and demons making their appearance. Working together, they realize that a nearby school, St. Adrian's, has a deeper role to play in the mystery than they first thought. But what is that role? Where does the school stand?

After the fairly conventional whodunit tale found in the first book, Darkness Rising takes a sudden turn. I opened the book expecting another murder mystery but got something else entirely. For one, the supernatural element was much stronger. Its low profile in the first book was one of my biggest complaints about the story, and I was excited to see more of the supernatural work its way into the story. Unfortunately, part way through I was wishing otherwise.

The world that Wiehl creates seems incomplete and rather boring. Early in the story a character allows a demon to possess him, which causes him to become a bit different, including changing the sorts of food he likes and the type of jokes he tells. The possession doesn't seem realistic in the slightest, thought that isn't to say that the story needed to be a spin of The Exorcist. But if Satan and demons are supposed to be deceivers then this one was a lousy deceiver. What part of demonic possession would cause food tastes to change? What part of it would cause the demon to not realize the sorts of jokes this guy would tell? It sounded like the evil plan had been a long time in the making, surely supernatural creatures wouldn't make such clumsy mistakes.

While I thought the Dani and Tommy were fairly boring in the first novel they were at least likeable. Their characters are much closer in this book, and they were even less interesting. Tommy has this weird obsession with gadgets, which coincidentally helps them find clues, though they mainly come up when there is a clue to be found. They felt like a cheap way to move the plot forward and for the most part felt out of place.

However, the most disappointing part of the story was the ending. Or rather, the lack of it. It felt like the trend that is happening in movies, where one story gets split into two. In the final pages, I thought the story was building to a climatic event, but by the final paragraphs it fizzle, leaving only a large opening for the sequel. I don't mind cliffhangers, and some of the best serve to increase the tension in the story. But for there to be a cliffhanger, there first as to be the top of a cliff. At most, the end of Darkness Rising felt like a small hill, and left me unsatisfied.

The story lost any momentum the first book created and I feel that I'm at a standstill in the story. I have no desire to pick up the third book to see if it gets going again.

This is a trilogy series with this being the second installment, but I have not read the first book. It didn't take away from the story as far as I could tell though. There were several interesting characters and the storyline was pretty good. Tommy and Dani work together along with family and friends to find out that bad things have been happening at St. Adrian's Academy for years. An evil that affects many people and will stop them at all costs.
They know things are getting really weird when a 102-year-old woman in a nursing home ends up dead in a very strange way--like she was crushed. The crew gets much-needed help along the way by very trustworthy 'friends'. I enjoyed the plot but was a little put off at times by how descriptive some scenarios were. It was a little much at times.

"Darkness Rising," Lis Wiehl's sequel to Waking Hours, is a fascinating read. A supernatural thriller set in East Salem, it picks up where "Waking Hours" left off. Though the main characters, Dani and Tommy, solved the mystery of the first book, they quickly discover there is a mystery behind the mystery yet unsolved. Further, the fate of the world may depend on them, with the help of friends and relatives unwittingly drawn into the quest, stopping events being put into motion by the forces of darkness rising. As "Darkness Rising" is Book Two of a trilogy, this book also concludes at a satisfying moment, while leaving the reader eager to get hold of the final book, "Final Tide," due out in September of 2013.

In case you can't tell, I am really enjoying this series. The characters, both new and old, are fascinating and unexpected. I liked how Wiehl and her co-author, Pete Nelson, chose to have them come together and how they related in positive ways under extreme circumstances. Discussions between Dani and Quinn about how people's brains work and how chemicals can affect them and how these relate to autism, teenage hormones, and brain tumors were intriguing and clearly explained. I also appreciated the subtle historical thread--with an obvious fictional bent. Wiehl and Nelson researched quite a variety of non-fiction topics to enhance this great fictional book.

I thank Thomas Nelson Publishers for sending a complimentary copy for this honest review. I recommend this book to fans of supernatural mysteries.

Darkness Rising by Lis Whiel and Pete Nelson is the second book in the Salem Series. I read the first book a while back and love it. I was so excited to see a second one was available. I got a copy of it as quickly as I could.

This book picked up right where the last one left off. The book description is
"The evil in East Salem is no longer content to hide in the shadows. The stakes--and the darkness--are rising.
Dani Harris thought there wasn't much left that could surprise her after serving as a forensic psychiatrist in East Salem.
I would recommend this book series to anyone. It is a fun fast read. Although there are a lot of new important character additions in this book, their personalities and interactions with each other help the reader keep track of who is who.

One of the main things I love about this book is that I can't guess the ending. There are a few times you have an idea how certain situations are going to play out but I would never had guessed the ending of this book. I cannot wait for the third installment in the series.

Note: I did receive a copy of this book from [...] to read and review. The opinions above are my own and I was not compensated for a positive review.

Darkness Rising is the second book in The East Salem Series by Lis Wiehl with Pete Nelson and it is an awesome book. I had the privilege of reading Waking Hours, the first book in this series and I was hooked. I have been impatiently waiting for Darkness Rising since I finished Waking Hours so I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Darkness Rising picks up where Waking Hours ended and from the first page it grabbed me and kept hold until the very end. Dani Harris and Tommy Gunderson are working together again not only to figure out who or what murdered 2 townspeople but to also find out who or what has a hold of the town, especially St. Adrian's School. With the help of some angels, a librarian, an actress, an Indian man, and an elderly man from Europe they set up to find out about the evil that is brewing in this little town and how to get rid of it.

Lis Wiehl is one of my favorite authors out there. I have read all of her fiction books so far and I have fallen in love with her books. Lis Wiehl and Pete Nelson are an awesome writing team. Their style of writing really grabs me from the start and keeps a hold until the end. The story lines keep me guessing until the end and Darkness Rising is no exception. The authors write with authority on East Salem, history of that part of the U.S., history of good/evil, Angels, demons, and works of art. As I read Darkness Rising I could vividly see in my mind all that they were describing. I highly recommend this book to fans of Christian Fiction, it will not disappoint. Darkness Rising can be read on its own without reading Waking hours but I recommend reading them in order. I look forward to reading more by this spectacular writing team.

DARKNESS RISING is a thrilling sequel in the East Salem series. Having read the first book, WAKING HOURS, I have to admit I sort of held my breath as I approached DARKNESS RISING because the first book barely touched the supernatural elements, which was a smidge disappointing. But fears be quieted! This book had an awesome supernatural thread--and I'm still a bit embarrassed at how giddy I got at the appearance of Swiss Army knives. . .with attachments. I'll never look at a pocketknife the same way (you'll have to read it to get that). Also, I thoroughly enjoyed the deeper spiritual elements found in DARKNESS RISING that perfectly complemented the supernatural ones. The absolutely compelling plot drove the story and characters through to a very satisfying ending with a promise of an exciting conclusion to the series with the third installment. Characters, with such unique professions as pro football and forensic psychiatrists can often come across as cliché or trite, but Wiehl and Nelson do a phenomenal job in keeping these characters unique and entertaining. I loved the intricate histories woven into the story that drive the mysteries and ultimately the darkness that rises is very a la Da Vinci Code but were also incredibly fascinating and had me Googling the various artists and pieces mentioned like the triptych. I adore books that make me learn something! Truly--one of the best yet by Wiehl! I cannot wait for FINAL TIDE.

I received this book as part of the BookSneeze program with the only agreement hat I would read and offer my honest review, which I have.

Darkness Rising is actually the 2nd book in the East Salem novels. The books will be a trilogy, with the third book yet to be released. The first book is, "Waking Hours."

When this book arrived, I did not realize it was the second book, and I had not read the first in the series. I was concerned I may have a hard time with the book, but it was actually easy to get into and follow. The writing moved the book along very quickly, and for me it was a somewhat easy read. That is not to say the writing was simplistic, but instead it was so good I simply did not want to put it down. It is a mystery book with a supernatural bend, but I do not want to give away too much of the story so that you can discover its mysteries yourself.

The plot is compelling and will want make you want to keep turning the page as you go along.
I was concerned when I heard the author was a commentator for Fox News (I am not a huge fan), but I did not feel this impacted the overall story or the writing style.

I recently recieved an ARC copy of Darkness Rising the second book in the East Salem Trilogy by author Lis Wiehl. Of course, before reading the second book I headed to my local library to check out the first book of the trilogy, Waking Hours. I enjoyed the first book so much that I was glad that I had the second book waiting to be read immediately. In this book we again find the main characters of Dani Harris and Tommy Gunderson, But we also get more of some of the other characters that I grew to love. In fact, several of the best ones play bigger roles in this book, such as Tommy's aunt, his spiritual advisor Carl, and a few of the other characters from the first book. As the book begins, we become aware that, although Tommy and Dani solved the murder in the first book, their job is not over. In fact, in solving the murder they uncovered a darker plot that needs their attention. This plot is the center piece of the second book. As the story unfolds, not only are Tommy and Dani faced with difficult decisions, but several of their friends and acquaintances are being drawn into the story more fully.

In this second book of the trilogy, Lis Wiehl has another definite hit on her hands. I was excited to see that this book continued with the combination of the elements of a first rate mystery/thriller and the elements of the supernatural that where so successufully woven together in Waking Hours. In addition, I was fascinated with the historical elements that were included in this one as I love history in any form. To have an author combine local history so successfully with a riveting thriller story line was part of what made this book a big hit for me. Another of the enjoyable parts of the story was the ability to weave supernatural elements into the story without resorting to the "they live among us" storyline that is so common these days. Not that I don't like that story line (I am a big fan), but it is refreshing and delightful to see an author approach the supernatural from a different direction. In fact, I would class this book as more of a mystery/thriller with a definitely "evil" twist than a supernatural mystery/thriller. However you class it, though, it works!

As for the character development in this installment of the trilogy. Dani and Tommy continue to grow as characters, but, thankfully, in the end Dani is still Dani and Tommy is still Tommy. I was excited, though, to see that some of my other favorite characters from the first book (Carl and Tommy's aunt, to mention two of them) got to play bigger roles as the story continued. In addition, I was able to find some new favorites among the characters that were introduced in this book. I was especially interested in Quinn. The inclusion of his character gave the author a chance to delve more fully into the workings of the human brain from the scientific viewpoint, which she did without talking over the reader.

Once agian, the ending of this book left me both satisfied with where I was in the story, and wanting more. I am excitedly waiting for the third book. Unfortunately, it has a publishing date of September 2013, as I would love to read it now. After reading the first two books in the East Salem trilogy, I can proudly say that I am a definte fan of Lis Wiehl and look forward to reading some of her other mystery/thrillers while waiting for the third book in this series. I give both books in this series 5 out of 5 stars and have already recommmended them to several of the people in my reading circles. In fact, a few have already read them and loved them as much as I did.

Darkness Rising continues the dark journey begun in the first book, Waking Hours. The story picks up right where the first novel left off. The setting is still modern day and in the small town of East Salem. Most of the main characters return in this story and we are introduced to several new characters, who it seems will be appearing in the third installment as well, Final Tide, due to be released in September 2013.
Tommy and Dani’s relationship is getting more serious, but can it survive when people from the past show up? Can Dani really trust Tommy to be honest with her? Unbeknownst to them, there is a third party involved who is trying to divide them and weaken their strength. Their strength is their united belief in Christ. Can they survive a betrayal from someone close to them? A variety of characters sporadically begin to be involved in Dani and Tommy’s fight against evil. There is a British art historian, a Native American Indian from the “Midwest”, an actress, a genius microbiologist who lend their knowledge to try and help find “the book” old Abbie Gardner has hid. The evil forces are also looking for the book in order to destroy it. One of these people is also the member of a secret society pledged to protect the book and fight for Christ against evil no matter what the cost. Abbie was the last guardian of the book. Who will be the guardian now that she has been killed? Who or what killed her? How is St. Adrian’s Academy involved? Can this group who has pledged to fight evil stop these forces from enacting worldwide chaos and destruction?
I want to give you enough detail to intrigue and tantalize, but not so much as to take the place of reading the story. To read the story for yourself is the best enjoyment. This story will keep you glued to your seat and to the book! You won’t be able to turn the pages fast enough to find out what confrontation is going to take place next. After finishing reading this one, you will wish it was September so you could start the third and final book in the series! Don’t miss this one!

This is the second book in the East Salem trilogy. Sadly, I was given this book without having read the first, which would have probably cleared up quite a few questions that I had while reading it. Sometimes in a trilogy, an author gives enough back story to give the reader an understanding of what is currently happening. The author did do this, but not to the level that I would like. This story follows a plot line of good vs. evil- with a strong supernatural element. Although there is a strong demonic element, this is not glorified. The author does a great job of causing the reader to feel tension and possibly fear, as some of the scenes did cause me to become a little ancy. If you are not bent toward reading about areas that you are not familiar with (in this book that would be the strong medical references) then you may become a little frustrated or irritated. Although other readers have suggested that it was not critical to read the first novel, I would strongly suggest that you do so. Overall the story was good, and the characters were good - but with a little bit more detail and a little less confusion this story could have been great! I enjoy Lis Wiehl as an author, and will certainly buy the next one and the first one in this series to ensure that the author is given a chance to completely round out this trilogy. If you have read the first book and liked it, then you will most likely appreciate this book and will not regret the purchase of it! I received this book from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. What does Vikings, Native American history/mythology, microbiology, faith and doubt, angels and demons, and a mysterious (and controversial) triptych painting have in common? They all have intertwining aspects in this creepy new story by Lis Wiehl and Pete Turner.
Starting at a fancy cocktail party where something seems amiss, Dr. Dani Harris delves deeper into a very strange and mind-boggling conspiracy. The implications of which tended to be scientifically overbearing, even when she shared her thoughts with her former fiancee (who has a tendency to ramble on worse than a kid with severe ADD).
The familiar folks from the previous story are back, along with numerous references to the demented murderer who died in the previous (not simply to refer to him, but as background for the talks on microbiology and certain implications on certain types of medication, and just the thought of a "Doomsday Molecule" was frighteningly realistic).
A lot of intriguing scientific moments, numerous creepy moments (not strictly dealing with demons), an interesting view on Viking history intertwining with Native American history and mythology, and one crazy fight between two angels and a demon? All of that in this? Not to mention crack-out-loud humor interspersed and a foreshadow moment that causes not just the reader confusion but gives the main characters confusion as well? Yep, this got very good to me.
True, the beginning seemes a little sluggish, but after that, I shot right through the entertainment with glee. Now to (begrudgingly) wait to get my hands on the last.

"Darkness Rising" is book two in Lis Wiehl's trilogy about East Salem. The story continues where "Waking Hours" left off, with twists and turns, and the battle between good and evil. Who will win?

Dani Harris and Tommy Henderson continue to investigate the murder of Julie Leonard, who died after a party at St. Adrian's Academy. Now Amos Karden, her accused murderer, and Abbie Gardener, a 102 woman, are also both dead. Are these deaths connected? Something is going on at St. Adrian's Academy, but what? For Dani and Tommy, the cases aren't closed even though the police think they are. What keeps them interested? What questions lie unanswered? As Dani and Tommy build a relationship outside of the investigation, attacks of jealousy and deceit threaten to derail them. Will their relationship survive?

Once again, Lis Wiehl delivers a story that drew me in and wouldn't let me go. I can't wait for book three! I recommend all of Ms. Wiehl's books to those who love a good story filled with mystery and suspense. You will enjoy her "Triple Threat Club" series!

Terri Blackstock meets Frank Peretti - supernatural murder mystery. That was the feeling I got while reading this book, along with the first installment of this series, Waking Hours. In Darkness Rising, Wiehl and Nelson hit us with a chilling, but thrilling, story of the evil that has taken up residence in East Salem, NY - a mostly affluent suburb of New York City - and the fight against it. The spiritual realm, which is usually unseen to most of us, suddenly becomes visible, and those caught in the middle of the good-versus-evil fight that ensues may not make it out alive.

Wiehl and Nelson are gifted story tellers, and this one, along with the first one, will keep you on the edge of your seat. These two are obviously history buffs, and parts of this story leave you feeling it could really happen. You won't be disappointed. Read this story, but read Waking Hours first. I can't wait for the third installment!

I was eager to read this book, after finishing the first one in the East Salem Series. I was not disappointed and really enjoyed the story. The Bible tells us (Ephesians 6:12) “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” In this novel the author depicts ways in how that might be playing out.

"Darkness Rising" is a fast-paced, suspense-filled book that held my interest until the very end. I personally thought that the plot and characters were very well developed. The topic of spiritual warfare was covered in a style that brought Frank Peretti's earliest novels to my mind yet the material was original and had no indication that is was a "copy cat".

Sequel to Wiehl's "Waking Hours", the first of the East Salem trilogy, "Darkness Rising" raises the stakes as the evil powers of darkness continue to escalate. Dani Harris and Tommy Gunderson find themselves in the fight of their lives as they attempt to find and stop who or what has released this malevolent plague upon the town. A classic tale of good and evil that involves humans, angels, and demons, "Waking Hours" is one book that you will want to read with all the lights on. I recommend it to all who enjoy a good supernatural suspense.

Dani Harris is a forensic psychiatrist who is supposed to be on a break to deal with any stress brought on by working on a murder case. Even though the case of declared closed, Dani can't let it go and continued following clues.

Tommy Gunderson is a former football player, a wannabe detective, and school friend of Dani's. Together they are finding clues to something much bigger than one boy killing one girl.

Having read Peretti in high school, Wiehl's writing is not as dark or frightening--thankfully. I enjoyed it and would like to read the rest of the trilogy

I received this book free from the publisher in order to give my honest review.

This was an interesting read of Christians fighting against demons. It took a while for me to really get into the story. In the beginning, there was too much dwelling on medical terms. I skimmed over the two-three page descriptions several times to get back to the plot. About midway through the book, the author stuck to the telling of the story and I was able to get into the plot. After that, it did hold my attention through to the end.

The plot was good and I enjoyed the book. The characters seemed well developed and it didn't take me long to keep them straight without being too simple. I might read another book by this author, but the subject matter is not my favorite.

Liked the premise of the evil behind the evil, the whisperer. Calling the Druids Satanist
Along with a satanic Druid coming over with the Vikings is so historically incorrect it is mind boggling.
Yes it is a fiction novel. History tells us it was a Templar Knight and a Monk. Stonehenge pre dates the Druids. A story is better when you work with historical facts, not change history. I wont be reading any more of this authors books. All I could think of through the rest of the book was WHAT?

Too much proselytizing in this one. And the characterization of druids as satanists was offensive and factually incorrect. Then I read that Mis Wiehl was a Fox News contributor and that explained everything. This series should be characterized as a religious diatribe, with a little plot thrown in.

I loved every chapter. The best series on Christian Spiritual warfare since the Frank Peretti's books. I can hardly wait for BOOK THREE in this series! Be encouraged, Lis Wiehl; I have loved each and every book you have written--and each one written with a Christian character as co-lead actor. Hats off to you.
