Everything I have come to love and expect from Meghan March. An amazing story with characters you can't help but love, and emotions you can't help but feel. A perfect stand alone book that left me feeling complete.

I just love Meghan March and her style or writing. This was such a fun book. I laughed, I felt for the characters, I was surprised at some points. I would love to hear more from Ryker and Justine's story.

Wow! Meghan March is one of my favorite authors, and she didn't disappoint! I had just finished Meghan's Beneath These Lies (which if you haven't read her Beneath Series yet, you really should) and was so happy that I wouldn't have long before Bad Judgment came out. I felt both characters were well developed and easy to follow. Meghan's books are always edited well, hot, dirty, and unapologetically sexy! Loved it!

Another good read by the author. I loved the characters and the story. The two main characters were made for each other.
spoiler--
Both characters are in their last year of law school. The H has been pursuing the h the last two years. The h is a serious student and on a full scholarship. She does not have time for guys who are players and devotes her time to maintaining her grades in order to keep her scholarship. All their classmates know about his unsuccessful pursuit of the h in the last two years. Unbeknownst to the H, the h makes a deal with the his father to tutor him in exchange for tuition payment when the school loses funding for the scholarship program. She is a super intelligent and he tends to get by in his studies. This deal falls apart when she starts to fall for him.
The H subtly woos the h with Pez dispensers and food during their study time together. He was interested in the h from the first time he saw her two years ago and now she is giving him a chance to know hernand he makes the most of it. He is super possessive of the h and takes really good care of her since she has a lot of family baggage. The h is super smart and not a doormat. They are a good match.
The author knows how to hit all my buttons for a good read because this is a recommend and a reread for me. A big plus was the dual point of views. I am hoping the author will give the H's friend and neighbor his own book....preferably with the h's bff...

Bad Judgment is my first Meghan March book. I was pleasantly surprised with the writing and the humorous narrative.
First off, this book is misrepresented. This isn't a enemies to lovers story at all. Sure, the heroine finds the hero annoying and cocky at first, but not for long. And the hero doesn't dislike the heroine at all. In fact, he's asked her out twice a week for the past two years only to be turned down every time.
This isn't an enemies to lovers, but a story where the hero tries everything to get the girl only to be turned down again and again.
Both characters are in law school. The heroine has a full ride scholarship, with con-artist parents. And the hero comes from a wealthy family, his father being a judge. I liked the dynamic. And I truly enjoyed how hard-working the heroine is and how she'd do anything to get her degree and succeed.
And Ryker has one of the hottest mouths I've ever heard before! *fans self*
So why only three stars?
Well, the unbelievable plot point that takes this whole book on a spin. There were actually quite a few plot holes. And the crapstorm after eighty percent.
The college informs Justine, who is there on a full-ride, that they are canceling all scholarships due to money problems. This is so unbelievable to me in so many ways. A university canceling scholarships to students who are half-way through their degree? And this is a good college. One a judge sends his son to. Idk, wasn't believable, but I dealt with it.
So moving on. Justine thinks of all options to pay for her tuition. She can't get student loans because her con artist parents screwed her credit up before she was eighteen. She even goes into a strip club to look for work but is turned away when her grandfather's friend turns out to be the manager.
She accepts an offer from the hero's father to tutor Ryker. No, not tutor. Secretly make him do his work because he had all of a sudden stopped caring about class. He didn't want to be a lawyer, but his father was pushing him.
So this is where their relationship starts on false pretenses. Yes, Justine starts falling for Ryker. I mean, he does have a potty mouth. But Ryker does his homework like a good boy and all is well.
Now disregarding the giant crapstorm that hits the fan come eighty percent - it was like one twist after another that had my head spinning - Ryker doesn't want to be a lawyer.
But guess what he ends up as when they walk into the sunset together? Yep, you guessed it. A lawyer.
After all these things that left my head spinning, I still enjoyed this book. Ryker has the best dirty talk I've ever heard. And no I don't just like the book because of that. Ok, maybe.
But Justine is a strong heroine and the added conflict between them was unexpected. I wanted to find out how they were going to get past it. The conflict is wrapped up in a little bow a little too easily for me, but it was still entertaining getting there.

I love the writing style. The story line was good, even though it is a predictable plot line. It could've been better, though, if the ending wasn't so rushed. It was like the author could only include so many more words and had to fast forward the entire ending.

This was a great read. I loved the characters, their banter, and all they went through. I'm not a huge fan of angst, but there was just enough in this book to keep me on the edge of my seat but not totally stress me out. This author is quickly becoming one of my faves.

Meghan March is an amazing writer, queen of steamy satisfying reads. Bad Judgement is no exception! This is the perfect palate cleanser after an angsty read or perhaps after a binge of the Beneath series. Meghan's wit and humor is in the dialogue, giving her characters authenticity and life. Overall Opinion: I was looking forward to this one, because it just sounded fun (and college romances are a weakness of mine). Sadly, I was disappointed. I found myself bored through most of it, and the drama at the end just felt like it was added just for the sake of drama and then resolved way too quickly and easily. I didn't really connect with either character, and I didn't really feel their connection to each other either. I just felt underwhelmed by the whole thing tbh. Others seemed to enjoy it, but it (obviously) wasn't for me.
**See goodreads.com/NMmomof4 for my full review with spoilers**
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Justine and Ryker's story. They've known each other for years by going to school together and are attracted to each other, but Justine has been shooting down every advance that Ryker has made on her. When Justine finds out her scholarship has lost its funds, she finds herself making an agreement with Ryker's father to help pay for her tuition. The more time they spend together, the more they see that there is more than their physical attraction and they fall in love. There are some big secrets revealed, some family and ex drama, and some sexy times...and they get a HFN ending.
POV: This alternated between Justine and Ryker's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Ok. It felt slow for me a good bit. I found myself looking at the percentage many times to see how far I had gotten, but ended up just seeing that I barely had progressed. I take that as a bad sign. I never skimmed, but was easily distracted from reading.
Instalove: No. They've known each other for years.
H rating: 3 stars. Ryker. He was not bad or good. He was just ok.
h rating: 3 stars. Justine. Eh, she was just ok too.
Sadness level: Low. No tissues needed.
Push/Pull: Yes, but only at the beginning
Heat level: Moderate/low. I wouldn't say it was fade to black, but it was oddly in-between that and descriptive sex scenes. The H was a dirty talker and we got descriptive details of the foreplay, but then it would like fast-forward to the end. It was kind of weird tbh.
Descriptive sex: Kind of (see above)
OW/OM drama: Yes
Sex scene with OW or OM: No
Cheating: No
Separation: Yes
Closure: This had not nearly enough closure for me! The ending felt abrupt, and there were still some unanswered questions that I had. I would call it a HFN ending.
How I got it: I paid the $3.99 on the store for it

“The real crime would be throwing away everything we have now.”
Meghan March does it again!
I was hooked from the very beginning, fell into some major adoration with Ryker and Justine (though just a little more with Ryker) and those little plot twist bombs she dropped had me going “Oh no she didn’t?!?”. And then there is the nuclear level chemistry between Ryker and Justine…
Confession time: I actually fell into full blow adoration with Ryker based solely on the excerpt that was released and all reading the book did was reinforce my initial reaction. Yes, he had the whole playboy/manwhore thing going on and yes, he is cocky, but none of that matters because he is so much more. He’s my favorite type of dirty talking I need to change my panties and probably need CPR because I’m swooning alpha male. He is dominant and stubborn, or determined ~ depending on your POV, but he’s also compassionate, sweet and protective. He’s not perfect, not by a long shot, but it just makes him feel more real.
I loved Justine’s drive. She had a shit childhood, though her teenage years were a hell of a lot better, and is determined to prove to herself that she can not only overcome the b.s. fate dealt her, but that she can help to make a difference for those who can’t afford the help. Her intense focus on her end goal tended to make her appear a little anal, but considering what her goal was and why she was so driven to accomplish it, it just made it hard not to like her and root for her.
While their relationship can fall under the enemies to lovers trope there is so much more to it and it was the “so much more” that made it fun to watch as their walls crumbled. Though their journey was bumpy, and they were both keeping a handful of secrets from each other, they found a way to go beyond it and really see who each other was at their very core and found that outside of their intense physical attraction, they genuinely liked each other. Their bantering was fun, even when they were antagonizing each other, their sexy moments were cold shower BOB inducing and I really liked how they realized that there were it for each other, no matter the bs going on around them.
The writing was spot on, as always, though I will say that a lot happens in the last quarter of the book and I had a bit of inner debate over how I felt about it because it was wrapped up quite quickly. But, the conclusion I came to was that while I’d’ve like a little more time to see just how it all affected Ryker and Justine and how they dealt with it as it was happening, it wasn’t really necessary because I satisfied with where they were as a couple when the main part of the story ended. And, as always, I find myself wanting to know about the supporting cast of characters, so I’ll be crossing my toes that one day inspiration will hit Ms. March and Merica and Ian will get their own books.
