SOME BACKGROUND: Laura Kaye’s adult, contemporary Hard Ink romantic suspense series focuses on a group of ex-special forces soldiers trying to prove their innocence in an Afghanistan mission that went horribly wrong. HARD EVER AFTER follows the celebratory preparations for Nick and Becca’s upcoming wedding, but also focuses on a threat against the woman Nick loves. Becca’s return to work finds our heroine trapped between the past and the present, unsure whether she has lost her mind, or the devil has returned to finish the job. While the gang prepares for the wedding, Becca and Nick must deal with another threat to Becca’s safety and their future together.

Laura Kaye blends romance and love; action and suspense; friendships and looking towards the future. The story line revisits some of the past as well as all of the couples we have grown to love who gather together to protect one of their own. HARD EVER AFTER is a heartwarming and dramatic conclusion for the original Hard Ink heroes. The premise is climactic; the characters are inspiring and spirited; the happily ever after is long overdue.

I have loved every book and novella in the Hard Ink series, the story-line and the couples it encompasses is quite simply Laura Kaye writing at her absolute best. As a reader I really could not have asked for more, and this novella to finish everything off was the icing on the wedding cake!

I don’t think I really need to write a long drawn out review for this one, it’s Laura giving the Hard Ink fans one final visit to the guys and their women, in the form of Becca and Nicks wedding.

"It’s good to be back."

It’s not plain sailing, and one bad penny that the Team had initially thought they had removed from the equation returns to try and exact revenge on Nick and those he loves, on the eve of the wedding. Expect happy tears, sad tears as few laughs and a lot of contented sighs as this series sort of comes to an end.

"This all feels right."

Although there is a 1001 Nights novella on the horizon, but it features a side character and not one of the original Hard Ink crew. Hard to Serve Kyler Vance’s book is due late June, and I hope we get a little update from Hard Ink Tattoos in the telling of his story.

A sweet, sexy, beautiful Hard Ink Happily Ever After!!! This novella was able to weave friendship, love and of course suspense!!! What is a Hard Ink series without a little suspense thrown into the mix to set hearts racing and pumping!! After what Nick, Becca and the Hard Ink gang have been through, a happily ever is well deserved!!! And Laura Kaye did just that. Readers of the series will be left with a big fat smile on their face as Ms. Kaye reminded us again how easily it is to fall in love with these characters. It truly has been a journey of ups and downs and to see Nick and Becca get their always and forever ending was truly worth it. So if you are looking for a love story that will leave a permanent mark on your mind of what it means to truly love hard then I highly recommend you to read this sweet novella of the Hard Ink gang!!!

Nick and Becca are getting married! !. Nick popped the question is an awesome way,but Becca is having some PTSD moments so she thinks. Woodson the man that almost kidnapped her twice is back in town and is looking for revenge. Now that the Churchman gang in destroyed he has only one person to blame and he is going after her. What he doesn't know is Becca has not only Nick on her side but all her new friends and her brother Charlie to stop him. When they do, Becca displays strength and keeps her head up. The wedding is back on and everyone is happy. The best part is when Kat lightens the mood after they all find out Woodson it out there is yell out that she is pregnant. Beckett is shocked and happy and everyone is happy for them. They are my favorite characters. Love the series. Recommend to all.

Nick and Becca started the whole Hard Ink series out with a bang. Each book that followed brought the remaining heroes a perfectly paired heroine, and Jeremy found Charlie. Each story was action packed and filled with off the charts sex and love; love between the hardened by life men and their women, as well as the love of brotherhood. These men and women fought for each other with all they had, brought together to clear their names and the names of their fallen brothers in arms.
Hard Ever After Is the culmination of all the Hard Ink books before it. It is a story of love, brotherhood and sisterhood. Brought together for Nick and Becca's wedding and the fight to protect one of their own from danger.
A dream wedding for Nick and Becca, surrounded by love, in love. With a few surprises for the other Hard Ink couples. Laura Kaye gave us the perfect Hard Ink ending.

Hard Ever After was gripping, suspenseful, funny and sexy. I loved to see the gang again; this is by far one of my favorite series to date. I was so happy to see that Laura was doing a novella based on Nick and Becca’s wedding. I wasn’t expecting the unexpected twist with the introduction of the antagonist; it added the extra suspense to the story. I mean, how it can be a “Hard Ink” book without a little suspense. And the comedy, I mean, you put all these guys in a room and you will get nothing but laughter. One of my favorite scenes was when then men were in the limo, I was dying laughing. It was very good to see Charlie coming out of her shell; I mean he doesn’t have any other choice seeing as though Jeremy is his man. The sex scenes were hot as always, oh I think Nick have turned Becca is a dirty mouth girl and I love it. I cannot wait to read the “Ride Hard.” Is it May yet?

Hard Ever After is everything that you could possibly want in a follow up novella to the Hard Ink series. The entire Hard Ink crew and their newly extended circle of family and friends are finally getting back to normal after the craziness that brought them all together. Nick realizes that now is the perfect time to make his and Becca’s connection permanent and of the “‘til death do us part” variety. Becca is over the moon excited to finally make Nick her’s and herself Nick’s, there’s just one little problem…the craziness that brought the whole Hard Ink crew together is quite over after all. Laura Kaye delivers all the heat, heart, and humor that Hard Ink fans have come to expect. She also is gracious enough to give us little sneak peaks and updates about all the hot and steamy couples of the Hard Ink crew. You don’t want to miss this beautiful epilogue to great series!

Just when you think the worst is over for the Hard Ink crew, someone has to swoop in to ruin everything. This time, they mess with a wedding, a wedding we all voted for, and I’m kinda peeved about it.

As always, Laura Kaye brings us a heady combination of heart-pumping suspense, emotional baggage, touching moments, and oh-so-freaking-hot sex. I also have to say that I love how she ends this series with a storyline that brings us back full-circle to the beginning.

This is paced well, written well, and wraps all character story arcs up in a nice little bow. Nick’s proposal brought me to tears. And Becca kicks ass! I absolutely loved this addition to the Hard Ink Series. What a wonderful story! Nick and Becca were my favorite couple of the series so I was so excited to learn the novella would be about them. Nick is charming and beyond sexy. Becca is sweet and loyal. Their love and chemistry is undeniable. We follow the couple as they get into a regular life routine after all of the tragedy and drama Nick and Becca and the rest of his team have faced.
This is such a great group of people, I adored being part of their lives one last time. As you can expect from the series there is some suspense to go with the romance. Laura Kaye gives closure to the fans of the series. The HEA was just perfect.

Nice short story about Nick and Becca after all the hoopla has calmed and their lives are happy after having there reputations restored. Nick and Becca made it through the thick and thin of things and now the only thing to decide is where to go from here. Becca still suffers PTSD after her ordeal and Nick stays close to her for moral support. Not a series to be missed. I enjoyed it. Three and a half entertainment stars. Nothing really new happens here just a continuation of a character and some snippets about the other characters.

Hard Ever After is short, but not sweet. Laura Kaye manages to cram a ton of excitement into one novella. This story is a celebration of love and friendship. It is also a new beginning of sorts. Nick and Becca are on the verge of starting their new life together. Nick and friends are starting a new consulting business and an old foe lies in wait. Sound exciting. It is. I loved seeing what old friends where up to. Life is full of changes but family is the one constant in a shaky world. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Oh what a story! Laura outdid herself with this one. Nick and Becca get their happy ever after, but not before trouble comes back for them. I had tears in my eyes at several different times through the story, all happy tears! Of course we can't forget the steaming hot relationship that Becca and Nick have. We see a lot of that throughout as well so do t worry. This book truly has it all.

The proposal..... there are no words. Nick killed the proposal. We see the genuine love that this couple (and all of the other couples) share throughout the entire book. It makes you love them even more.

I won't reveal any more details than that because I want the full effect to be felt when you read this. I am longing for more but am so thrilled with the way this ended. Laura once again amazing job. Now to wait for some Ravens Riders!

OMG. This is perfect. The guys have their lives back and are starting new ones with the women they love. Nick and Becca get engaged and plan their wedding. Becca returns to work but starts seeing the guy who tried twice to kidnap her. Will they catch him before he gets to her again. I love this whole series and each of the characters.

I loved getting to spend more time with the wonderful characters from Hard Ink. Seeing how they have all grown closer & stronger. Watching Nick & Becca get ready for their wedding. And most of all, seeing how Becca deals with everything at the end!!!
