All the Shel Silverstein poetry is amazing, funny and interesting. My 1.5 year old loves it even though she doesn't realize the depth of the poems she will be able to enjoy now and when she is an adult.

I loved Shel Silverstein books as a child and hoped that my son will love it as well. We first got him, 'When the Sidewalk Ends", and read practically the entire book to him the moment we got it as he absolutely loved it. This book was no different - we read through it in one sitting and re-read it again many times over. Though I am no longer a child, I still adore the poems of Shel Silverstein and I am so glad, my son loves it too.

My granddaughter and grandson and I share the magic of Shel Silverstein's poetry, laughing and giggling so much it's hard to turn it all off and go to bed. Other poems and stories are thoughtful and start good conversations. Shel is so talented and knows just what young people are thinking.

If you have never experienced a Shel Silverstein book, please do not hesitate. His humor goes a very long way. I have a special bond with my grand daughter through reading his poems together. You also can not beat the price offered here!

What?! How is there not any extra stars available for this book? If this book can't be rated ten stars, then I am forced to come to reality. The Mandela effect is real and we live in a universe that only allows 5 stars to rate your purchases.

Shel Silverstein is my favorite children's author of all time. As a kid, many of the poems out of this book made me laugh out loud. Now that I've picked these books up again for my own son, I'm finding that I'm having the same reaction.

This is a children's classic...appropriate from the age 6-7 years old and up. I read many of the stories to my two boys. My 7 year old now reads some of the poems himself. The writing is brief and witty...the illustrations are basic but appropriate for the quirky writing style.
