Ugh. Disappointing. I generally enjoy Ms. Benton Frank, but this needed some serious editing. Too much "police reporting"; that is, blow-by-blow
and boring descriptions of making food, entering a room, packing a car. Generally a good story, but it needed some trimming.

This book was simply wonderful! Where does this woman get her ideas!?! This tale is far different from previous books. First, Eliza is not only not a native of the Lowcountry, she is also very Greek! Being originally from another country myself, I could really identify with the magic of being completely changed by the charms of our beloved Lowcountry. Second, Dottie took such a delicate "situation" that could have been disastrous for Eliza's marriage, and spun such an intriguing web of twists and turns that my head spun around several times! Finally, I really identified with Eliza and her world because I too am at that stage in life where my children are growing up and making lives for themselves. If Dottie Frank's books don't make you fall head over heals in love with this sacred little piece of the Palmetto State, then you need to come down and experience it for yourself!

I am never disappointed in DBF novels and Same Beach ranks up there with her best. I know these people...in some ways they are me, my friends and my family. I raged and laughed and cried with them throughout and was only disappointed to come to the end.
What happened between Dune Messiah and Children of Dune – the untold story. (Legends of Dune) :: CHILDREN OF DUNE :: The Third Dune Novel by Frank Herbert (2003-03-13) :: There And Back Again: An Actor's Tale :: Jason Bourne Book #2 (Jason Bourne Series) - The Bourne Supremacy

Was waiting for this book. Love this author, but it didn't seem like her past writing style. A very predictable story. Not sure we're the title came into the book. Seemed like they were always at the pool.

I have read a number of books by Dorothea Frank. This was not one of her best. It was boring at times and took a while to develop the characters. It did become exciting toward the end but it was sort of late coming.

I absolutely love Dorothea Benton Frank but this book was not one of her best. I usually keep her books in my bag simply because I can't part with them and will read every chance I get. This one was a bit slow. I finished it just because I started it. So disappointed.

Dorthy Benton Frank is one of my favorite writers! She never lets me down. The Same Beach mesmerizes you from the first word, to the end. I feel I was with them on the Isle of Palms. Recommend to read and love it as much as I did.
