Finally her pack is learning to play, kick ass and take of each other. I love the fact that Alex is growing stronger and was able to be Rylee's assistance. I am also glad Milly is on the right side once again. That the rest of her loved ones are coming in to their rightful place. I love it. I looking forward to the next story.

I'm always looking for the next supernatural series, and thus one does not disappoint. I had read the previous book (5) a while ago, so it took a bit to catch up on the characters, but even if you haven't read any of the others in the series, you'll be okay after the first chapter or so. I'd recommend linking to the info about each character to catch up. Looking forward to book 7 :)

I read the six Rylee Admanson novels in quick succession. I was dubious at first, but grew to very much enjoy the suspension of human's reality and the elevation of the supernatural cleverly devised. Rylee is a woman to hold up among fictional powerhouse women. Six volumes, never boring, and I hope Mayer finds a way for some more.
Dark Fae: Book 3 (Celtic Legacy Series) :: Sundered (Anniversary Edition) (The Nevermore Trilogy Book 1) :: Destroyer (The Elemental Series Book 7) :: Firestorm (The Elemental Series Book 3) :: Recurve (The Elemental Series Book 1)

Good story but desperately needs an editor or a proofreader. Mistakes with sentence structure, grammatical errors, and missing words really took me out of the story. Someone besides the author needs to read and correct these before they go to print. You can't get through a paragraph without seeing glaring mistakes. Frustrating because the story is good.

This series just keeps getting better and better, so much so that I am running out of words. I love how the characters are maturing, how there are so many twists and turns and just when you think you've seen it all...boom! My heart aches over the prophecy and Liam...I'm hoping for something brilliant and clever.

Picked book (#6) because "the price was right". Plot is somewhat YA but enjoyable. I've probably gleamed enough of the plot to skip the first five books of the series and not sure I'm invested enough to pay to finish out the series. Time will tell. Story was well written, though, and liked character development.

Mayer has created an awesome world and has made it progressively stronger with each book. Her plot line is complex but extremely well woven. Her characters are engaging and work their way into your heart and imagination. If you like Urban Fantasy, try this series, you will not be disappointed!

Due to the store's insistence upon shallow reviews, this is an abridged version of the review as it appears http://ianwoodnovellum.blogspot.com/2015/01/tracker-by-shannon-mayer.html">
This is book 6 in the 'Rylee Adamson' series, and I have not read the others, so this review is based solely on what I read of this one volume. I picked this up because it was free on the store and looked interesting, but in the end I find I cannot recommend it.
Perhaps if you've read and enjoyed the previous five volumes, this would be more enjoyable, but for me, having read part of it, I didn't honestly feel it was something I could get into, even starting with volume one, especially if that that one is written in the same breathless young-adult tone which this one was. I really don't get why this one would show up as a free special instead of volume one - surely that volume would be the one to promote if you want to get people into your series wouldn't it?! This particular technique suggests that sales are not quite what a writer might dream of for this series.
I'm not a fan of series. With few and treasured exceptions, it's a lazy way to write, retreading old stories and characters, trying to wring them for more. It's like using the same tea-bag twice. Ugh! I actually didn't realize this was part of a series when I picked this to read. I paid for that in that I honestly couldn't read it after the first few chapters. The writing, as I've indicated, didn't appeal to me. It felt adolescent - more like fanfic than anything else. There was no real substance to it, and nothing in it to really bring you up to speed (with one interesting exception which I will note shortly) or to serve as a refresh for those who are following this series, but for whom it may have been a while since they read the last volume.
The writer seems to have tried to pack this full of every fantasy creature she could think of, and it was too much for the bag to hold. It exploded in all directions, and I just couldn't get into it. This really wasn't because it was volume six; it was because of the writing. It was way too rushed and conversational, with little descriptive prose, and what description there was seemed to have more to do with social interaction, wise-cracking, and love interest than ever it did with life-threatening situations, dire straits experiences, and contingency planning.
This is one of the many problems with series - they're typically published a year or so apart, so what are readers supposed to do? Make detailed notes with which to refresh their minds before they read the next volume? Read the previous volume(s) each time before the newly-released one can be read? That doesn't work for me! I'd rather wait until the entire series is out - or until there's only one more volume to go, and then read them all at once. But usually I'd rather not read a series at all. I prefer to find something new each time I open a novel. I like to smell the roses rather than find myself trudging through heavily trampled foliage where there's little new or interesting and rarely anything of beauty on view.

Have really enjoyed this series. Reading them in order is the only way to follow what is happening and the developing relationships. Rylee and her 'family' are interesting characters with an old but true storyline....family comes first and family is not just 'blood'. Looking forward to the next Book especially, with the possibility of loosing a main character that has Rylee's heart and where she may end up. No woman stands alone and survives.

I am actually surprised how much I enjoyed this series. Didn't really think of myself as a fan of the paranormal type of genre. I am a fan of mysteries, adventure and romance novels. This series has all of that! I couldn't wait to read each book in the series. It is well written and I really enjoyed it!

Riley and her pack at their very best. Tracker kept me on the edge of my seat and turning the pages until the early hours of the morning. I very much enjoyed the path that Riley has taken and can't wait for the next installments! Alex keeps a smile on my face even when things are quickly turning to complete s h¡T all around and I can't imagine what will come at them next!

I can't decide. Booersk one was an exciting introduction to Rylee's universe, an so will always rank high. This one saw such development of the characters that it became very fulfilling. One complaint, the text editing was second rate, with grammar, spelling, and word order errors in numerous places.

I love these books. They keep you in suspense from the beginning to the end. My favorite part is that Rylee never looses her love and hope for her friends and sister. She never stops believing in the good of others even though at times she has to take their life. She is smart and decisive and does what needs to be done. Also the romance she has with Liam is wonderful. I really like that the author does not do smut in the romance scene. It is clean and beautiful. Half the book is not filled with sex scenes but is completely filled with the story that gripes you at every page turn. Thank you Shannon for a great series and I CANNOT wait for the next book!

I cannot wait for the next one. Shannon created a new and refreshing world. Her characters are awesome. I really love Alex. I do not believe in spoilers, so I won't give you a synopsis of the book, but read it, in fact read all of the books in this series, you will not be disappointed.

This trip with Rylee was very interesting and exciting. I am waiting for the next one to come out. I would reccomend this series to everyone. Her characters are great and you can not help but to become a part of her "Pack". Keeps you on the edge of your seat and ready to turn the next page.

This entire series has been awesome. It is entertaining, witty, and fully engaging. There is no lull in any of the books and the story line flows easily as each new installment comes out. I can't wait for the next book in the series to be released. Kudos Shannon Mayer, this is one of the best series I've read, one to rival Laurell K. Hamilton's ANITA BLAKE series.

Have loved this series from the beginning, and this installment is no different; even as it careens down what seems to be a dark road for the characters. Mayer's writing is quality, unlike many other of the "for Kindle only" books that come out. Can't wait for the next book!

Excellent continuation of this series. I love the fact that this series is action packed and still remains funny into the sixth book. The characters are well written and you feel you know them and wish most of them will make it to the end. I can't wait for the next book!

You know how most books have a start, middle, and then finish, right? Well, forget that standard with this series by SHANNON MAYER! Okay if you put these six books together here is how it goes; it starts at a run, and then races away, jumps hurdle after hurdle and ends SPECTACULARLY. I'm not sure if RYLEE (the star protagonist) finally gets the vacation she deserves at the end, or, will a new war erupt before she can kick her boots off! Poor Rylee, because I very much want to see the later happen! This series that MISS MAYER has written just kept snowballing. Rylee starts out as a lonely, hard, cold person. Her only friends a submissive were that is stuck between the transformation that occurs when a werewolf goes from human to wolf, leaving a two hundred pound goof, with the mind of a child, but the only happiness it seems she is allowed, and a beloved mentor that is, because of her use of her powers, aged and in the grips of dementia way before her time. But, Rylee doesn't stay alone for long, for a dire destiny awaits her. She has trained for years for it. She knows she is very different and her mentor has exhausted herself- physically, psycically, and mentally- preparing her for it. Rylee is an expert with edged weapons. Lean and strong from years of grueling training. And it's a good thing, her destiny has come calling. Along with it a group of mismatched friends; a lover, old enemies, new enemies, and the most fantastic collection of supernatural creatures are brought together for what looks like an apocalypse on a scale that would result in the extinction of the (mostly) clueless human race.
These books are a sequence of excitement that keeps ratcheting up. All the answers were revealed in the last book "Tracker". Rylee's younger sister that was kidnapped by vampires at an early age is now a possessed Emperess of the vampire nation vying for domination of the world. The FBI has been corrupted and manufacturing modern weapons that will work on the supernaturals. Rylee must race against time to put a stop to the terrible situation that seems inevitable. Her "team" of mismatched friends, friends seeking redemption (and others not so friendly at all, but on her ' team' none the less) friends out of horror and fairy, all, are split up and trying to combat too many catastrophes at once. Time and the odds are against her at every slice, bite, scratch, and explosion of magic! Old evil is on the rise, and yet to be arisen. Close friends meet death, sending Rylee on a raging warpath to the finish!
I would not want the ending spoiled for me, so I will not spoil it for you let me just say that this ending is one of the most satisfying, well written endings I've ever read. It could be that Rylee has earned peace. I just hope that MISS MAYER will not let us forget about her. But let her at least get her spanking first! Ha!

I love Rylee and Alex!!!! She takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'!!!! Alex is a wonderful sidekick too! He is wonderful as the comic relief, Yuppy Doody!! I wish Liam and Riley got to spend more one on one time to develop their connection more form the readers point of view. I love all the characters so far and look forward to further adventures

I'm a hard core mystery/crime reader, John Sanford and buddy's. So I wasn't sure about this writer or her series when my husband bought the first book. Hooked is what I am now...she's not kidding when she says it's an adventure! I didn't want to put it down. It's different, but that's ok we all need a bit of fantasy in our lives. Mayers writing will keep you wanting more and connecting with her characters.

Shannon Mayer has once again outdone herself. This entire series is amazing. Doran is finally a vampire but with a soul thanks to Rylee.

A combination of supernatural twists, comradery (sp?), suspense, and romance. Story takes place in the present and the writing style reflects that. Surprisingly, there are also laughs along the way! I REALLY hope there will be a book 7 in this series!!

I started the books when there was a bundle special price. Didn't realize how much I would enjoy the series. Love the author's imagination in creating such a fascinating world where supernaturals live in the human world. I was very excited to get the 7th book and finished it in one sitting. Ms. Mayer gets better and better with each book!

Shannon continues to amaze me with her detail to the story line - no 'HUH what happened to so and so"?
Rylee is NOT your typical heroine and the other characters in the book pull it all together in a way that works magic.
