Jaw-dropping, gripping, amazing; Love this series! My only criticism is that this Rylee installment felt more like a novella than a full novel. But it definitely gave me Everything! Like, my mouth hung wide open for three pages straight in the last chapter. Can't wait to pre-order the next book!

I really enjoy this series. The characters are engaging, the pace is fast without losing your attention and the story is well formed with great cliff hanger endings.
I would have given this a five but the editing is really bad. Misuse of to and too, the wrong tenses of verbs; all on the same page sometimes. Button it up and this would truly shine.

It took a little longer than usual to get through this installment in Rylee's series. There is a lot of death in this one and seems to be even more to come. I will be reading the next asap. I just really hope that Liam survives and the Rylee figures out her true powers soon.
Rylee (The Rylee Adamson Epilogues) (Volume 1) :: Dark Isle: Book 2 (Celtic Legacy Series) :: Wounded (A Rylee Adamson Novel, Book 8) :: Immune (A Rylee Adamson Novel, Book 2) :: Windburn (The Elemental Series Book 4)

Another great story an bittersweet her family is together but by the end they might not be. Orion sounds like a force that will take the strength of everyone around her to win. I have a feeling many more of the characters I have come to love will die.

and highly recommend it. Rylee is a strong female character who isn't perfect but tries to learn from her mistakes and understand those closest to her. She, of course, kicks tush. I can't wait until the next book comes out...I'll be preordering that when the opportunity comes

I have been loyal reader of Shannon 's books but this was the best by far! I truly felt like I was right there! The action in this latest installment was gripping! It's great to see Rylee begin to really build her circle, even as she faces down impossible opponents and more impossible situations. I can't wait for the next!

Although Rylee tends to act as a "martyr" and gets her and her people in trouble, The characters are unique and not seen too much in paranormal fantasy. Dragons, Unicorns, Ogres - besides Vampires, Witches, Demons, and Werewolves...... The story-line is progressing and I truly like a heroine who has good side-kicks.

Love this series! Rylee is a strong character that never does stupid things that many characters in other books do! I can't put these books down & this is my second time through. So excited for Darkness rising!!

I become more taken by the characters and the plot continues to thicken. Great story, interesting characters, but again, Rylee's foul mouthed is a bit of a distraction. Other than that, I have thoroughly enjoyed the tale and an on to Book 6.

Amazingly powerful and creative. I am in awe that the story flows so easily. While I was disappointed that Rylee let herself get caught up wit h. Faris I understand that it needed to happen. I can't wait for the next book.

Rylee leaving London turns out harder than her arrival, and like all previous novels the action doesn't stop there. Rylee and her odd family are pulled into three trackings back to back. Great fast paced series.

The story line was typical Mayer's style. I always enjoy her books and the Rylee Adamson series. One thing that would make their reading more enjoyable for me would be if Mayer would clean up the language. Am looking forward to book 7.

So far I have really enjoyed this series. Just like another reviewer said, if you enjoyed the early Anita Blake novels, you should really like this series. I think each book in the series has gotten better. However I can't believe how the author left us hanging at the end of this book. I got to the last page of the book, and said "what!! I can't believe this is the end."

This series never leaves me regretting my choice. I love Rylee and Alex as well as Liam and Evie.
This is a can't put down series. I am enjoying each book. I hope she keeps writing for this series.

The battle continues between paranormal creatures and the fate of the world. Bad versus good. The all consuming battle . A little drawn out but still interesting. A lot of repeat . Waiting to see if more is in the series.

Shannon Mayer has quickly become one of my favorite authors! I love how she really develops ALL of her characters. The secondary characters all have their own personalities, motivations, weaknesses and strengths. Some authors focus so much on the main character or 2 and forget or don't take the time to develop the other characters. By doing this, Shannon Mayer adds so much more depth and interest into her books. Thanks for another great book!

Strong characters, good plot and an adventure that keeps building. Can't wait for the next book! The only con I have is technical. Changing font sizes to illustrate change of POV kept throwing me out of the story.

Cut off right at the end leaving us breathless for more. This is one of the best series I have read and I read a lot of series novels. Can't say enough about this and the writer. Fast paced and keeping you on the edge of your seat. Jansanlu

Another great book that steals time away from your day, like house cleaning and all. I think it was great stumbling onto this series when there were already five written. Didn't have too long to get the sixth.
