This is a different kind of horror. No zombies, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, or supernaturals. I was looking forward to learning who and what exactly caused the threat when I ran out of pages to turn, and the story ended!

Well, it was well-worth reading, anyway. There wasn't enough time to completely develop each character, but they were all believable, even down to the end. I really enjoyed the different twist to the menace the survivors were facing and I hope the author will hear me begging and write a sequel!

In the meantime, I'm not sure how well I'll do, coping when it snows next winter. And I think I'll avoid crab, from now on.

I really liked this story, my only complaint it was too short, lots of unanswered questions for me. I did buy a couple of other books by the author, so hopefully they will be as good as this one, but with more information

Great book and well written. Not my usual read. But I am so glad I read it. Think of that beautiful thing snow and then think of all the horrific things that can be underneath. Wow. I recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

I really devoured this creepy, atmospheric story! I have long been a fan of the horror genre, and am also getting (albeit somewhat belatedly!) into SciF, especially the short story collections of Philip K Dick. However, I will always return to anything and everything that is weird and wonderful, and this great story certainly is both. The characters are really well drawn and the whole thing is crafted brilliantly - I literally couldn't put my Kindle down, until I had finished it. I really look forward to reading more from this talented author, in fact, I have just treated myself to the 'Gretel' Trilogy. I thoroughly enjoyed They Came With The Snow, so I suppose I simply MUST also follow what happens next, in The Melting! Recommended to all fans of strange, creepy stuff!

The characters were fleshed out. I cared about them. The story was frightening and original. Made me want more and luckily there is another book, a continuation of the story. Reminds me of the creature stories of the nineteen-fifties. Certainly leaves an impression. Well written, a very fast read. It's a short tale but well worth it.

They Came With The Snow is a compact short story with minimal narrative. It jumps right into action with minimal exposition. It is scary and creepy, but moves so quickly I thought there were pages missing. It needs to be fleshed out more for maximum effect. I understand that the author is developing a part 2. This could be a hell of a story.

Yikes! Another great book by Christopher coleman. It reels you in from the first chapter and it's hard to put down. I HAD read straight through. The end doesn't bring a conclusion but challenges you to think how the main character's final act ended...good or bad, it's up to you. Read this....it will stay with you long after you finish reading.

This was a quick and creepy read from Christopher Coleman. They Came with The Snow recounts, from Dominic's point of view, the shocking aftermath of an event centered on a small college campus. It starts with what sounds like a sonic boom and then the snows start. In May. You see the fallout unfold from Dominic's perspective, along with his guilt from not just surviving. What's out in the snow and will it ever be safe again?

A blizzard, seemingly caused by a blast of unknown origin, blankets a small college town. The snow looks normal, except for the subtle movement beneath the layers, and the black eyes that watch and wait.

They Came With The Snow, is a fast paced, well written novella, from the author of Gretel and Marlene's Revenge.

I received an advanced copy of They Came With The Snow for an honest review.

This book fulfils all of the requirements for well written short story. The premise, along with good character development flows neatly. It has a definite beginning and ending, with the suspense and horror unrelenting throughout. Definitely a keeper! I'm looking forward to reading more literature by this author.

I really enjoyed this story! I found it suspenseful and was able to fully immerse myself into the story and care about/hate the characters. Would definitely recommend it and have! The only "problem" was that it was so short. I wish there had been more.

This was a quick read with an enjoyable premise. The characters had good depth for such a short piece. The setting was very clear - it reminded me of my own college. Overall, I definitely recommend this book.

Except "the mist" is replaced by snow. Throw in a little of the Last Man on Earth with its mutants and voila! You have They Came With the Snow. Author couldn't keep names straight. All in all, not very interesting. Read The Mist instead.

This was a short thriller novella that had me wanting more at the end! I felt it was gripping, full of suspense, had great characters, and a great plot twist. Normally I don't read novellas, but this one changed my mind and I will explore more novellas in the future.
