Portable Edition-- What does this mean?
The portable edition of Literature: An Introduction to Fiction, Poetry, Drama, and Writing, Portable Edition (11th Edition,is broken up into four(4) smaller books, each covering one of the units in the standard edition. The pages in the portable edition are the same as in the standard edition-- meaning,even though the book is smaller vertically, the words on the page will still be the same as in the standard edition. Keep in mind the original/standard book has been broken up into four(4) books. The over all size of the books are smaller as well, especially vertically. Over all weight, size and space efficiency are greatly improved.

TO THE POINT
Is the product smaller/more space efficient-- YES
Are the pages the same/correlate with the standard edition-- YES (The font and pictures are smaller, so that all words and pictures correlate/match with the larger standard edition)

Bought this book from Luna Coffey on the store. There was no image and I accidentally bought the wrong book. However, the book got here very quickly and was in great shape! When I realized I had order the wrong book, I requested return instructions. I got a very quick response and sent book back. The full amount was refunded as soon as the book was received on their end. This review is for the shipper, not the book, and i would most certainly order from them again.

Very happy the product is very good, there is really no problem with it there is only cosmetic wear on the outside but the inside is very good. I love the fact there is writing within it is of much help. The person whose book this belong did a very good job at note taking. Thank you, once more.

unfortunately, i didn't read well enough to realize that this was not the correct book. I wanted the 5th edition of this book but i purchased the 2nd. Other than that, the book got here in great time and i have not complaints other than my stupid mistake of buying the wrong book.

If you would like guidance on choosing quality children's books for students, children, or grandchildren, this book will lead you well. The authors discuss and give examples so we can learn to discern the good from the mediocre. It also provides visual examples for evaluating the artwork in children's books.

I chose 4 stars because the book was delivered quickly and in the condition which was stated online when I was considering purchasing it. It was a fair price, and the correct order. I have never been dissatisfied with any order I have placed on the store. Thank you for making a small part of college semesters less stressful and less expensive:)

While I'm sure there is some great "literature" in here, defined by aristocratic yuppies and pretentious college professors, I found 99% of my required reading to be garbage. Not sating I'm right and they're wrong, just saying I don't thing great literature has to be written before my time just to be great...

What's really bad about this book is that its' 2k pages! So, to keep it light (I assume) they printed it on see through paper. This makes it terrible on the eyes, especially when there is a picture, or some other dark object on the opposite page. Tedium of Shakespeare and these other "great" works aside, it really is the thinness of the paper that causes me too give this 1 star.

Excellent teacher resource. It provides information about all kinds of children's literature available, explains what can it be used for, and provides lists of books for each category. The CD is also an excellent resource and gives you the opportunity to make your own lists and save for future use.

I was not excited about taking this online literature course in the beginning. This textbook has changed my mind. It is easy to read and very comfortable. It has broaden my way of thinking. I highly recommend this book for the self-directed learner.

Terms and definitions are clear cut and to the point. The stories are organized very efficiently into sections that emphasize key elements of fictions. Really enjoyed brushing up on English with this book.
