I love the books in the Immortal Secrets of Nicholas Flamel and series and was thrilled to discover this short story that centers on Billy the Kid and Scathach.

I adore Scathach in the series and it was interesting to see their first interaction with Billy the Kid. This story is packed with action and adventure as they battle the vampyres of Vegas.

I definitely recommend this story to anyone that likes the Immortal Secrets of Nicholas Flamel series. If you like YA fiction with mythology then I recommend you try this series if you haven't already.

I am loving these mini books that the store is selling and both of Michael Scott's short pieces are fabulous! I'm hoping, at some point, they'll all be compiled into their own book of short stories. Combining vampires and las vegas was a genius idea and Scott did not disappoint as his action driven plot propelled me through this fast paced story. Between the Flamel series and this short story, I have become very interested in the legendary Billy the Kid and will continue to read more about him. Looking forward to the next short story!

This short story involves a meeting between Scathach and Billy the Kid, yes, that one, in an adventure prelude to The Alchemyst series.

It's short, entertaining, and I defy anyone to put it down once they begin reading. There is a lot of background on Scatty which helps me ground her in the other later stories.

Action packed, fast flowing, and fills out a character to follow. Gotta get it!

Yet another great story by Michael Scott. Scathach confronts the man she once loved; the man who cost her a relationship with her twin sister. Now he returns for revenge for a perceived wrong and pays dearly for misconception. We also get a little more backstory on Billy the Kid who it turns out is a bit of a scrapper. A really enjoyable read.

I would recommend this story to anyone who loves a short read about immortal beings, vampires with a y, and lots of well written dialog and action... it's considered a young adult book but I would recommend it to any age.

I really like this book. The character of Billy is really funny. I like it because my attitude is kind of like Billy's. If I could, I'd read this book every single second of the day for ever and not get sick of it.
