I've been enthralled with this series right from the start. It's kind of like Harry Potter, but with super heroes, and much better character dynamics. It has a good mix of humour, drama, and action, with likeable characters that are easy to identify with. Really looking forward to the next instalment. ??

This has been one of the best series ever....brother...I'm with you...whatever you need to write, I'll read, because I love what the DH is servin' up. I am entirely impressed by the time and energy spent in this book. In all honesty this book could go huge. Honestly with the right amount of advertisement it could be up there with Percy Jackson. It has a great original plot that twists just the right amount. It can only be described as a home run of a series. Also can't wait for number 4 in the series.

The charter development over the course of this series is so genuine and believable, if u first accept super heroes being real. This one is not any different, but it escalates a lot. And i whole heartedly anticipate the next and, sadly, last installment to the series.

Another well done book in the series. Great writing, well developed characters, great storyline. Needed proofreading though - some of the bigger errors threw me off and slightly took away from the reading experience. I still loved it though.

If you are a fan of the super-hero genre and have not yet read this series, you don't know how great this type of story can be.

I have really enjoyed this series. The characters are all interesting, and most are likable. The plot isn't complex, and it seems to be written at a low grade level. It is just an easy, entertaining read.

Pros: I love the world. The concepts are inventive. The characters are intriguing.

Cons: College students don't talk that way. Occasional tortured syntax and language misuse (e.g., "appreciable" doesn't mean someone who can be appreciated). Lots of minute details about events in the characters lives that eventually go nowhere.

Bottom line: I'm still hooked but I think the books would probably be better if they added some more words to the fight scenes, removed some of the discussions about partying, and allowed the characters interpersonal relationships to progress at a faster pace.
