Beach House for Rent (The Beach House)

Beach House for Rent continues Mary Alice Monroe's beach house series and it is a wonderful story of a young woman finding herself and gaining victory over her anxiety. This is one of my favorite stories by Ms. Monroe.

I loved the book because I have followed the series of books written by Mary Alice Monroe. I feel like I know the characters & love following their life experiences! I would recommend Beach House, Swimmers & Beach House for Rent.

I never thought I would be interested in shorebirds and sea turtles but the author wove the information so carefully throughout the story line that the information was accepted easily. The story line itself was something that kept me interested and had me rooting for this one or that one and hissing at the villian(ess). I read this book for entertainment and found myself researching things I wouldn't have expected to do. Seeing a video of sea turtles painstakingly making their way back to the water after laying eggs brought the novel to another dimension. I appreciate the research that went into this novel, including the making of our special postage stamps. It was a good story with just the right amount of sadness.

Mary Alice Monroe has another hit with this addition to the Beach House series. Returning characters as well as newly introduced characters work together to make this heart rending story another winner.

This was a lovely story of healing and getting through the hard times of life. I find myself hoping there are real people on the Isle of Palms that match the fictional characters in the book. The humanity, strength, and passion the characters show is poignant and inspiring.
