This book can be life changing! Realizing that it is God who gives the desire and ability to surrender to Him, and to maintain that surrender, teaches that it is not about holding on with gritted teeth, but open hands and heart in surrender to Him. I highly recommend this book!

Absolute Surrender is an excellent book by Andrew Murray.Very good learning too I am told. I have not been able to read it yet. I make a lot of notes and underlines in my books. I never just read them. I do things to further my growth in the Lord Jesus. . Barb. B.

Excellent book that encourages one to want to live a life that has Christ at its central. It proposes that the Lord is in the midst of ALL that goes on in our life and that it serves his purpose to do us good in the latter end. Highly recommended for those who know there is more to being a Christian than what we are told.

I loved this book! I found it insightful and packed with Truths from God's word that explain why so many Christians lead defeated lives. There are also great teachings that can help us to be more than conquerers in Christ. A must read!

I was first introduced to this sweet little book while in a Christian "discipleship" program for homeless men with substance abuse problems. A month ago, long after leaving the shelter of that year-long program, I relapsed into the insanity of alcoholism. Somehow I thought of this book. I bought it, cracked it open, and was re-minded of essential truths. I'm not going to "make" myself clean and sober and right with God; no, as Murray points out throughout this book, God the Holy Spirit works in me. My job is to surrender, let him do his work. One hears it all the time in 12-step programs: "Let Go and Let God." He's "large and in charge." My part is simple: surrender. Openness. Willingness. Acceptance.

It seemed that every page brought me to look deep within myself to see what is really there. Am I totally surrendered in this area. Prayer will reveal how I can be totally surrendered. I can re-read this book over and over again. I have already recommended it to several people and that was after the 1st chapter.

All who are seeking a closer walk with Jesus, our Savior, should read this book. Being led by the Holy Spirit is accomplished by our realizing our efforts only cause failure and frustration. Prayerfully read this book and meditate on the scripture if you are hungering for more of God in your life.

An inspiring challenge to experience the Christian life in the fullness that Christ intended for us. If your spiritual vitality, and sense of Christ's presence, has been waning, read this book. Christ will speak to you.

I gave Absolute Surrender five stars because it gives the reader a Biblical view of Christ, and the Christian's relationship to Him. Our purpose as Christians is to surrender all to Christ. Absolute Surrender will inspire you to do just that by teaching you how to live and rest in Christ alone. The author gives clear understanding of what the Bible says on the subject. If you want to live in Christ's strength; rest, and peace then absolute surrender is not just a book to read -it is the key to God's best.
