Dark adventure and hot, steamy romance in this new adult version of a YA series about death, angels, and grim reapers. Interesting characters and plot drive this new series written by one of my favorite authors in YA/new adult paranormal.

The writing and story fits the typical teenage writing style. However, the graphic sexuality makes it seem like it was written for adults. The story line is interesting and I am inclined to see if there is a sequel for under two dollars. We shall see.

Decently written, a few errors.
Otherwise, a great story, I love the idea, and I can't help but to envision the beautiful creatures. The author has a clear love of current music (obviously alternative) and mentions lots of amazing songs that played in my head like a soundtrack.

I REALLY ENJOYED THIS SHORT BOOK AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT IF YOU ARE INTO THE SUPERNATURAL. OF COURSE, IT DID NOT MAKE A LOT OF SENSE THAT ALL THOSE TEENAGERS WERE DISAPPEARING IN A SMALL TOWN WHO WERE FRIENDS OF EMBER AND NO ONE WAS EVER CHARGED.

Overall I enjoyed the book! There are many parts that are completely enthralling but then there is that moment that just cripples it as well. The characters are developed well and the storyline is interesting...

What a great story! The storyline was really different, believable in some circles! The author kept me involved in the quickly moving plot that seemed predictable at times...just before it would take a turn that would surprise me and turn my theories on their heads! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Ember is your average goth girl living in a world she doesnt think she belongs in. Her mother and father divorced when she was young and her childhood imaginary friend was a Grim Reaper. With nothing near a normal childhood, Ember uses poetry as her way out. Her walls are filled with it along with her notebook. Then Asher Morgan walks into her life, revealing her true heritage and why her mother truley hates her.

This book is not something I would usually be interested in but it turned out to be a great book. It's a little confusing in a few places but it kept my interest from beginning to end (very visual and multifaceted). It has been a while since I've read anything so engaging. If you don't mind a bit of darkness then this is definitely worth a read. I can't wait for the next book. I want more of Ember and Asher!!!
