I was on the fence about reading this story because the author previous book was a three part and although it was good I am not a fan of books that continues and so when I found out that this story did not end in a cliff hanger I took a chance on it and I am glad that I did. The chemistry between the hero and the heroine left off the pages of my Kindle. I like that they both stood their ground and true to themselves. This story had a mix of everything which to me is a sign of a good author. This is a definite recommend.

I was not impressed. After reading so many 5 star reviews I thought I had a good read ahead of me. The time frame jumps are awkward, the characters aren't well developed and the story isn't that interesting. The plot just plods along until the end. I kept reading hoping for something interesting to happen and I was disappointed.

Welcome to the literary world of Beth Flynn . She's a chronicler of an age old story of Love set in Floridian Gator-alley . It travels from coast to coast from the 70's to present times
She will create a mythical world for you. Place some colourful , imperfectly perfect people . She will expand their lives and environment . Make them walk through gauntlets of pain and hardships. All the while her narration will cover months, years, decades. But every word that she puts on the paper is there for a reason . Not a single sentence is written without a carefully thought through plot. A character here, a dialogue there, are tiny hints , all chainlinked to form a larger than life masterpiece .
If I thought that she couldn't surpass the minutes trilogy in depth, imagination and expanse , I stand corrected . I admit that happily
Her writing is otherworldy. It transports you to another era where what she says , goes. You believe in all her secrets, you fall in love with her people , you hate her villains. Its like She's a master puppeteer holding us captive to her beautiful words
She made the Ferocious Anthony Bear so powerfully dangerous and badass and Christy Chapman so dove , dainty and pure , their alliance almost unimaginable

Anthony Bear and Christy's story somehow manages to revive old love memories for Grizz and Kit but also make me fall in love with Bear and his Owani. His story had me spellbound !
There are so many corkscrew twists , it gave me vertigo !! Anthony Bear picks up Christy Chapman as a collateral and there starts her phase of life where she will experience love, betrayal, courage and happiness
She's an unfortunate heiress who'll fall for a criminal. The most unlikely, mismatched pair will have to endure innumerable stumbling blocks and roadbumps, yet Christy's tenacity and courage will help her bear the weight of the Iron Tiara, that lies so heavily on her head

“Two hearts connected by strands of gold.
My heart you will always hold.
Safe by my side, you will always be.
My forever love, you belong to me.”

The most fascinating thing occurred to me. Beth wrote a perfectly matching piece of story that fit all the chronicled ,jagged edges of Grizz's story. Every anecdote fit perfectly.
Brilliance of a Natural Born Writer !! Bravo Beth !

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this publication

I was held hostage, trapped within the confines of my Kindle, mesmerized by the world Beth Flynn created in The Iron Tiara. She has a magical way of stringing words together, delivering an epic tale filled with such dynamic and memorable characters, it’s all consuming. Anthony Bear and Christy Chapman’s journey was not what I had envisioned as the spin-off to The Nine Minutes series, (I was hoping for Mimi's story) but thrilled to have experienced it just the same. Once again, Flynn overwhelmed me with another heart stopping, savagely brutal yet emotionally touching romance so gripping; I could barely tear myself away from this read.

Admittedly, I went back to Nine Minutes and re-familiarize myself with this couple and their situation, as they played a minor role in Grizz and Ginny’s story. Although this is a standalone novel, some characters involved and the events that unfold do run parallel to the trilogy. If you have not experienced the brutal beauty of The Nine Minutes Series, I do recommend reading to appreciate this story.

Anthony Bear fascinated me. As the story begins, I met the adorable little boy struggling to take his place within a newfound family, learning about his Native American culture from his uncle, the tribes' chief. In a blink of an eye, gone was the sweet child and in his place – a ruthless murdering loan shark capable of kidnapping the innocent daughter of one of his debtors, Christy, for ransom. Anthony lacked compassion, void of any emotions except for anger and bitterness, and had zero regards for anyone other than a handful of friends, his sister, and eventually his woman Christy.

His cruelty rivaled that of Grizz, as Anthony was truly heartless and so gruesome at times, his actions had me cringing. Shockingly, I was drawn to this ultimate Alpha bad boy like a moth to a flame. It was his relationship with Christy (at first combative then tender, self-sacrificing, fiercely protective, and loving) that had me falling for this black-hearted anti-hero. How a man so cold was capable of such deep, pure, and devoted love astounded me. I cannot rationalize my affections for his character other than the mystical powers held within Flynn’s prose. A testament to this author’s writing talents as she had me falling in love with such a vicious dark soul.

At first glance, the princess and her captor seemed worlds apart. Bear ruling one of Florida’s most notorious criminal biker clubs as Christy came from a prominent and wealthy family. As I’ve come to learn, they are not all that different. Soul mates of sorts, they belonged together, both holding tight to their secrets and sins that slowly unraveled as the bonds of love, trust, and understanding blossomed between them. Christy surprised me, as she was nothing like Anthony (and I) judged her to be. Generous to a fault and compassionate to those she loved, Christy was the absolute opposite of the perceived spoiled little rich girl persona. But hidden behind all her feistiness lived a broken woman riddled with fears and sorrow. Learning all she survived, all the heartaches from her past, utterly shattered me. It was under Anthony’s protective and gentle care, unlike his brutal nature, which brought Christy’s character to life.

Exceptionally well-written and filled with nail biting plot twists, The Iron Tiara was an intense read. A long and descriptive story that traversed decades, I savored every moment of Anthony and Christy’s journey – from anguish and pain, to their joys and love, it was a wild ride. My only wish was to make a greater connection with their characters; to crawl inside their minds and experience their world first hand, as opposed to witnessing the story unfold from the third person point of view. Regardless, this was an amazing story and must read for fans and lovers of MC romances.

WOW just WOW this book, this author - I love Beth Flynn, I make no secret of the fact that I fan-girl her often, support her work as often as I can but even I have to admit this book even surpassed my expectations and they were high because if you follow Beth and her Nine Minutes trilogy you will already know how amazing her work and storytelling is. If you haven't had the pleasure I suggest you go one click the books right now because these books will blow you away !!
Beth's writing is detailed, meticulous and in depth but you never lose track of what she is trying to convey, you only get caught up in the intricate web of violence, hate, love deceit, courage and the life's of the awesome characters she writes. Who am I to complain the woman is a genius as far as I'm concerned.

Could there ever be anyone else for me but Grizz - oh boy enter Antony Bear who we had the pleasure of in Nine Minutes in a small dose but we get the full package in this book and what a package he is. Cherokee Indian, built and beautiful but dangerous and deadly and thinks nothing of killing a man with his bare hands or a machete or two. Loyal and fierce, he runs two businesses; one legitimate business Native Touch Landscape and Design and one not so desirable. So when he finds out that a client owes him a debt of a sizable sum but has skipped town he makes it his mission to find him. Then by complete chance he meets the clients Daughter Christy and his path takes a completely different route, the one of kidnapping !!! Hoping to hold Christy ransom in exchange for his debt being repaid things don't quite go to plan of course, but the anticipation, the excitement, the heartache and the joy we endure whilst reading this story is one I will never forget.

The characters of Christy and Antony Bear could not be more different. He's a criminal and she a high society girl from a well to do family. Both are so different, both grate on each other at first because they ARE so different, but like two magnets they are drawn to one another even when they have no say in the matter.
Christy is a feisty spunky character to read, I loved her straight away, there is so much more than meets the eye with this young lady. She has more secrets going on than the government but is also vulnerable and has a past that haunts her.
Antony bear is an anomaly of a man. I could feel my brain clicking over trying to figure this man out, but he soon grows on you and fast and you soon get to see two sides of this incredible man.

The story starts off in 1978 to present day and flits back and forth from past to present smoothly, you don't get confused, it flows beautifully and it had me completely hooked all the way through.
And of course we get to meet up again with Kit and Grizz as well which bought back some wonderful memories and a few sighs along the way.

An extraordinary story that just HAS to be read and experienced, this is what reading is all about. A great book from a very talented author.

With each kiss, each caress, each whisper they experienced a mating of their souls that connected their hearts. She invaded his heart, his muscles, his bones.

“Two hearts connected by strands of gold.
My heart you will always hold.
Safe by my side, you will always be.
My forever love, you belong to me.”

Gah my poor heart will never be the same !!!!!!

A criminal and a heiress…those two individuals and their worlds should be mutually exclusive, but when Anthony Bear kidnaps Christy Chapman, using her as ransom for her father’s debt, Anthony and Christy become so much more than kidnapper/victim, proving that the relationship they create and grow is an enigma - one where this ”perfectly matched mismatched couple” proves that true love has no limitations, regardless of contrasting backgrounds, criminal dealings, sinister activities, and/or heartbreaking secrets.

The Iron Tiara spans over two decades, illustrating the whys and hows of what made Anthony Bear the man he is and showcasing the highs and lows that Anthony and Christy endure as well as those family and friends closest to the dynamic couple. There are multiple perspectives used in the story, which can be a bit confusing, but in this case, it helps to fully develop all of the plot lines, constructing a comprehensive view of a very complex world, and because there are so many lies and half-truths told throughout the course of Anthony and Christy’s story, hearing valid insights from those who know the truth make it easier to sort out all of the details and understand how all the varying events form one complete picture - a messed up and beyond deplorable one but one that nonetheless allows readers to wrap their heads around everything that has occurred to bring Anthony and Christy into each other’s lives.

In a lot of ways, this is NOT a feel good story; brutal acts occur throughout the book, indicating just how dark and evil Anthony and his crew can be as well as those who use others for purely selfish reasons. Anthony is definitely more of a villainous anti-hero than a man who puts himself on the right side of the law; he's probably one of the most sadistic male leads that I've read in a long time, but his transformation and perhaps even his redemption comes through what he willingly risks for Christy and would willingly give up if she asked him to, which in not means makes him a good man but Christy accepts Anthony for who he is and she doesn't need him to change to be with him; in fact, his strength and need to protect her by any means necessary proves his love for her time and time again.

If I had to use a series of words to describe the various plot lines and events that take place in the Iron Tiara, they would definitely be dysfunctional, savage, deviant, and dangerous. But beneath all of the dark and deadly acts is one hell of a love story - one that weathers devastating and deplorable circumstances, finding solace in what they are building despite all of the obstacles and complications that threaten who and what they've come to mean to each other.

This is my first Beth Flynn read and from the beginning of Anthony and Christy's story, I understood just why her stories, writing, and characters appeal to so many readers and allow them to escape into a world much different than their own and while I can't begin to understand how Flynn crafts the hellish worlds she does and I fear for her mental health at times, I'd gladly give up hours to read another one of her stories because they definitely leave quite the impression.

Already being a huge fan of the Nine Minutes Trilogy, I couldn’t wait to get to know Anthony Bear and Christy Chapman.

Anthony Bear is the criminal and Christy is the princess. Or so Anthony thinks. But there is way more to them then what you see on the surface.

Anthony Bear is the one that will never fall in love. He knows it and everyone around him knows it. But once he meets Christy, that changes.

Christy has grown up with money but money does not buy happiness. She has dark, deep seeded secrets of her own that she is dealing with and they make her feel unworthy of Anthony. But these two people, even though so different, are perfect together.

“Two hearts connected by strands of gold. My heart you will always hold. Safe by my side, you will always be. My forever love, you belong to me.”

This story, like the Nine Minute books, goes back and forth in time. And although there is so much information to take in, you will never get lost. I fell in love with Anthony Bear immediately and I have to tell you that I had an expectation of Anthony and their story but I got something totally different. He is there for Christy even when she doesn’t realize she needs it. And with all of the issues that Christy had, I found it to be an emotional read.

It was also nice to see Grizz and Kit again and see some of their story from Anthony and Christy’s perspective. And of course we get to know a little more about Slade and especially Christian. I can see other stories being created for some characters from this book but could Christian and Mimi’s story be next? Time will tell!

With this being a spinoff of the Nine Minutes Trilogy, I recommend you read those books before The Iron Tiara!!! All are worth the read!

Before I begin, if you're wondering if you should read the Nine Minutes trilogy before reading this book, the answer is is no. This book can be read as yet a stand alone. But I must warn you, if you haven't read the NM trilogy, you're going to wish you had after reading this book. Not because you will miss anything. But because this book is that good!
Now that we got that out of the way, let's get down to it.
As some of you may know, Anthony Bear and Christy are characters that were introduced in the Nine Minutes trilogy. Their story in the book was vague, but not so vague where I kept wondering what their story was, especially with what little information was given. But, I am not going to bore you with a synopsis of their story.
When I started reading this book, I knew I was going to to be transported to another world and era, and I was totally okay with that. Beth has a talent for weaving stories that can be easily played out like a movie in my mind. I knew Anthony was bigger and meaner than Grizz from Nine Minutes. Beth did a fantastic job in showing readers how Anthony got to be the big bad dude he was. The same with Christy. With Christy, the first impression isn't always the best impression and in true Beth fashion, things aren't always as they seem. As Anthony began to figure this out, his connection to Christy grew stronger. After revealing the hardships of the two characters, I fell in love with both of them as a couple. There are some dark elements in the book, some plot twists that had me on the edge of my seat, some heart wrenching and funny moments. I knew there would still be unanswered questions by the end of the book. But I am okay with that, because it allows me to take my imagination a little further in my mind , and hope they will be answered in another book.
I had the cheesiest grin when I saw my favourite and memorable characters sprinkled through out this book. Readers will also meet new characters, who will not surprisingly, have intriguing stories of their own. There are villains in this book. One In particular, made me so angry I wanted to scream and throw my Kindle. But instead, I plotted out the characters demise in my mind.See! That's how fantastic Beth's writing is!!! The myriad of emotions I felt while reading this book is what prompted me to give this book five stars. Beth has a phenomenal way of drawing you in and hold you captive with her stories.
If you want to red a book that makes you feel like you are right there personally, watching it unfold, with the emotions you could possibly feel, then you should read this book!

There aren't enough adjectives to properly complement this story and Beth's profound writing style!
The story is so well developed, every scene is so well described. The characters we met in nine minutes are back but this is Anthony's story. He's an enigma, but he is so interesting and complex!
And his sister "Nisha" was a great touch to add some levety to the intense and difficult life Anthony led.
As the story slowly evolves we can visualize Alligator Alley, feel the isolation. Enter Anthony and we begin to understand how he fits in that world, and when Christi enters albeit under unorthodox methods, his world takes on a whole new meaning.
Their story was more than a romance. They both have ghosts haunting them, but together they're more than soul mates, and they can conquer anything. How they do it is what makes this story truly exquisite!!
The Iron Tiara is one of those books that you read slowly so you can savor all the words.

The Iron Tiara is one of my most highly anticipated book releases of the summer. I’m a HUGE fan of the Nine Minutes trilogy, and I was so happy that Beth Flynn decided to grace her readers with a spin-off. I could read a book about any of the supporting characters from the original series. They had so much life and personality!

Fans of Nine Minutes will want to know how The Iron Tiara compares to it. The Iron Tiara is a more straight forward story than any of the books in the original series. That doesn’t mean that it’s without its own twists and surprises. There are definitely some of those in store. It reminded me of both Nine Minutes and Out of Time. It started out and ended by jumping around in time and perspective like Out of Time did, but the middle was all continuous story like Nine Minutes.

The majority of The Iron Tiara is told from Anthony and Christy’s points of view. There are a few other points of view strategically placed throughout the book that help explain the plot to the reader. The entire book is written in third person narration that can change from chapter to chapter or sometimes back and forth within a chapter. The latter was a little weird at first, but it gave me the feel of knowing what each character was thinking during a conversation or event. I ended up appreciating it.

Anthony and Christy’s story was engrossing. Their lives somewhat paralleled Grizz and Kit’s, and the two couples’ stories intersected at times. I remembered Anthony and Christy from the original series, but this book helped make sense of their roles in Nine Minutes. It also made me fall in love with them. Their story was just as interesting and eye-opening. I never thought I would fall for another character like Grizz, but Beth Flynn had me shamefully falling for Anthony Bear.

Overall, I loved The Iron Tiara. I loved the characters. I loved the twisted story line. I loved being back in the world of Nine Minutes. Like I said before, I would read a book about any of the characters from that series and now this book. I’m invested, so I’m crossing my fingers for more spin-offs and more pieces of the puzzle.

I know this review doesn’t really tell you anything about Anthony and Christy’s relationship, but it’s a book you’re going to have to experience for yourself. I don’t want to ruin the surprises for anyone.

The Iron Tiara is an amazing story following in the Nine Minutes tradition. While Kit and Grizz will always be my favorite, Anthony Bear and Christy give them a run for their money. The Iron Tiara is a dark, disturbing, violent, sexy love story.

Anthony Bear is a complex character. He is gorgeous, cocky, arrogant and lethal. No one crosses him and gets away with it for long. But, there's more to him than meets the eye. Christy is so much more than she appears. She is beautiful, rich and the opposite of what you'd expect. Together, they sizzle. The attraction and sexual tension is palpable. Their push / pull is intense. Their banter is funny, flirty, and sarcastic. I loved them.

Their story isn't pretty. It is intense, dark, and twisted. It is full of violence, graphic and disturbing. But, it is also full of fierce love, protectiveness, and heat. The build up is slow and smoldering. When they get together it is HOT! The conflicts, treachery, and danger they face makes them stronger.

The Iron Tiara is written in past/ present and so much happens. It is all brilliantly connected. We are treated to cameos by our faves, Grizz, Kit and Moe. I was hooked from the start and read straight through to the end. The story was captivating. There were many OMG moments followed with NO WAY! I'm not going to lie, Anthony's way of dealing with betrayal and those who go after what he considers his is scary, raw, and sick. The scenes are graphic, fair warning, but well deserved.

Fans of Nine Minutes and MC books will love it. I did. I'm hoping we get another book or two focusing on the next generation. Hint, hint author Beth Flynn!!

The first trilogy that Beth Flynn write win my heart! The mystery of it. The characters, the romance, everything! So when I saw we were getting some side characters books I jumped with excitement.

So, this book was just as good as the others. I loved seeing who Bear was before, and how he met and fell in love with Christy. It was a super wild ride that I was so happy to experience. I was drawn to both of them. They were both so strong and stubborn.

I loved seeing the other characters that we fell in love with in the first books. We see a different side to them in this book and it was awesome. I couldn't keep the smile off my face!

The plot was weaved with past and present scenes and I felt the author did amazing! Both characters have their own issues and while they work through them, something clicks with them and you can see how they fit each other even though it was a wild ride.

Overall, I can't give you too much because it's another amazing ride that I loved every second of! I can't wait to see what (and who) she writes next! 5 stars #2OCCJD

PS. That cover!!!! I love it!

I love that this author can keep surprising me. I thought I had figured out all the surprises and boy was I wrong!

I met Anthony in the Nine Minutes Trilogy and immediately wanted to know more about him. When I heard Beth was writing this story I was rubbing my hands together with glee.

I started this book and could not put it down! Christy and Bear seem like they shouldn't work together as a couple, TOTALLY different backgrounds and upbringings. The way that they meet does not bode well but it grows from there. Watching these two to see if they can make it work, see if they can fit into each other lives is captivating. I loved seeing how sweet Anthony is to Christy and made my heart swell with love for them.

There are absolutely dark, twisted parts of this book. I love dark so I was more than ok with it but for someone who doesn't do dark, just skim over them. You don't want to miss the LOVE story of this book.

I laughed, cried, gasped and everything while reading this book. Another job well done by this author!!!!

Beth Flynn is such a talented writer; since reading Nine Minutes, I've been memorized by her writing. I was so excited to see this book coming out and had to have my hands on it ASAP. I was excited to see I was one of those who won an ARC copy for review.
I absolutely adore the Nine Minutes trilogy, and it's one of my all time favorites. I think because of that deep love for that series and it being very dark, that's what I struggled with in this one. I expected the same dark atmosphere with bikers all over. When really, it wasn't all that dark... Which I totally have no problem with. Just took me by surprise!
I really enjoyed Christy and Anthony' story and I loved seeing the crossover between the Nine Minutes trilogy. There's a few things that do get spoiled for the series, but I think it MIGHT be okay if you wanted to read this first. For me, if there's ANY sort of connection, I HAVE to read in order. So, if you're like me, I recommend reading the Nine Minutes trilogy first and meeting Grizz. ;)
Overall, this was an amazing story, as always coming from the talented Beth Flynn. I will from this point forward, read anything and everything she writes because I adore her storytelling. The majority of the book takes place in the late 70's which is fascinating because I don't typically read books out of this decade. Which is always a breath of fresh air.
So, to sum up, I adored this book. I can't wait for everyone to read about Christy and Anthony!

Beth Flynn remains a master story teller. If you read and loved the Nine Minutes trilogy, you will love The Iron Tiara as well. This is Anthony Bear and Christy's story. While this novel can completely stand alone, I loved having the background that the Nine Minutes series gave. I love the insight into these characters that we get. There was so much going on that we did not know about despite having three previous books with these characters involved.

I thought that Anthony and Christy's story was beautifully written. Despite having some obvious similarities to the start of Grizz and Kit's relationship, it was actually completely different. Their relationship took work and time and had definite obstacles to overcome.

Beth Flynn puts so much effort into her time lines and making sure the accuracies line up. She has a clear talent for spinning darker romances with a lot of mystery hidden within. I am truly looking forward to seeing what she has in store for Christian and Mimi.....and hopefully, many more.

For one more time Beth Flynn delivers a beautiful and unique story. The writing was fantastic and the pacing incredible that once you start it you can't put it down, only when you finish it and you wish there were more.Because this world was fantastic and I love that we could see again Ginny and Grizz! I really don't want to get into the plot itself, you just need to know that it was compelling and I was intrigued to see what will happen next.

OMG!! If I could give more than 5 ⭐️ I would!! I LOVED this story!! This is a spin-off book to The Nine Minute Trilogy and it is spectacularly amazing!!! This is the story of Christy and Anthony. It is a mix of highs and lows, disappointment and despair. But it is also a story of love, forgiveness and hope. Secrets that surface can create so much heartache, but secrets that stay hidden may damage just the same. The weight of secrets is a burden Christy bears and one she has trouble sharing with Anthony. Anthony knows Christy is his one true love but he doesn't know why she fights a life together with him. Life isn't always black and white and love isn't always simple, but true love will always persevere!! This is a beautiful, angst ridden story and a definite must read!❤️❤️
