I loved this book so much. It had everything. Badasses. Humor. Love. Saddness. Excitement. It was so great and I loved the cross over to the characters in the beautifully* series. Ahhh sigh, loved it didn't want it to end. I loved thea alot she was so witty and brave. And I really believed Damian made the perfect person for her. Timeless love is the best kinda love. L.A. FIORE killed it with this book.

Damien and Thea......sigh. What a love story. I just loved the way it began, flowed thru the years and ended. Yes, it may have been a little drawn out but it was well worth it. The mystery to find out kept me turning the pages and I didn't see that twist coming. I like how each character added another dimension in the story and look so forward to reading each of their stories as well.

Blown-away. This book was magnificent. I've not read anything by L.A. Fiore, but now I can't get enough.
Damian was unwanted by his father, who abandoned them and then by his mother. He met and befriended Cam Ahearn and his sister, Thea. Thea and Damian, love each other but he enlists and she heads off to college. For the next 13 years, they can't find the time or place to be together. They don't fall out of love, they just try and get by. This book was bittersweet, haunting and hopeful. Some parts I wanted to scream at the characters. Other times, I just wanted to hold them tight. This book was more than love. It was suspense, real life, family and friendship. It was everything.

First time reading this Author and I loved the book. I love books that has different characters involved. This one had it all. I loved Cam and Anton. I wish she would have played up Ryder and Kimber a little more. I also wish she would have went more in detail on Damian's military career. It was sort of skimmed over quickly. A few typo's through out the book but I was able to get past that. I did love the relationship of Anton, Cam and Damian. The plot was good. The epilogue seemed rushed. Over all I really liked the book. Looking forward to Antons book.

This story is about family, friends and love. The author pulls you right into this story and you just fall in love with Damien. This story intertwines through several years. There are several twist and turns along the way. Grab this book I believe you will totally love these characters.

I really enjoyed Damien and Thea's story. I know Damien was the dark and silent type but his quietness was annoying at times. Sometimes it dragged waiting for Damien to get his head out of his behind. Glad they finally found their happy after forever and solved Thea's dad's murder. Probably would have given 5 stars if didn't drag at times.

Decent read although lots of back and forth between Damian and Thea which got old after awhile. Interesting plot twist halfway through which was a nice change of pace. Decent read but not overtly memorable.

I loved everything about the book. Although there was a big part of the book without the male POV to the point that I thought about giving 4 stars, as it also dragged a bit, suddenly it came back and had a nice ending. Totally worth to read. Definitely getting the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed this one! Thea is a very likeable heroine, and I think that she makes the book. She's relatable, honest, and pragmatic. There were a few scenes that I felt were a little bit over the top in terms of emotions, but that's really the only negative comment I've got. Besides, what's not to love about a romance that spans decades with a HEA?

Couldn't finish it. Couldn't stop thinking UGH!!!! Boy meets girl, they fall quickly. Boy goes away, boy comes home every few years, tells her to move on with her life and girl keeps holding onto him, and him her. Time passes by the years with one page. No update on life in between.
Dads a cop. Dies suddenly. ZERO clues he was working on anything that could possibly lead that way.
Choppy writing and lame female lead. Get mad! Move on! Date! Never once did she get mad!!! Not one time that the LOVE OF HER LIFE kept pushing her away. 13 years I got to. And out of nowhere she professes her love to him, AGAIN. He's quiet so she talks a lot.
Scenes at the bar and gym, drunk guy hits on her and he "saves" her. Cliche! Over those scenes, like beyond.
When the dad dies the mom goes from inconsolable to doing Pilates with a hot guy in her house because her husband would have wanted her to live her life? WHAT are we even talking about???
They are from NY and all speak like poets. "And when I entered the apartment" no one in NY would ever describe the scenario that way. No slang, no cursing, no abrasive tendencies. New Yorkers aren't all like that, but born and bred in NY and a family from the Bronx, it's definitely not accurate.
Girl, get mad. Move on. Hold him in your heart but JESUS please make him work a little for it.
What was he celibate? Never had another girl? She says a one liner about a guy she saw for a while but her heart wasn't in it, and then that's it?
Couldn't finish it. I saw 2 hours left and I decided I just couldn't take that much more time to finish.
HATE writing reviews like this. Hate being negative. Respect authors times and ideas, but I'm upset and venting a bit I guess.

Honestly I couldn't finish this one. It started off great but started dragging pretty quickly. Seriously I was intrigued by Damien, his childhood was so sad, Thea and Cam and their family were such a great support for him. But when Damien left to enlist everything went downhill. Thea became a doormat, going along with the no communication. Thirteen years later, she still hasn't moved on but still has extremely limited communication with Damien. There was a twist, but really at 50+% in and no one, including the extra characters, have any relationship stuff going on. Seriously in thirteen years no one has had a relationship! I skimmed to the epilogue and skipped through that too. Not understanding all the five star reviews. Save your time and money skip this one.

This book started out so well, their connection and beginning was so sweet and you believed that they had something real. And yet the timing was off and it was understandable, but then around 50% nothing was happening and it became a murder mystery which didn't feel like it belonged. She also seemed more like a 21 yr old then the 31 yr old she was. Some of the angst between them didn't make sense. They slept together but they never really talked about what happened, who they were, who they became , and what was to come. I feel like you could have made a book on their journey only and leave out the mystery.

In Devil You Know readers are introduced to Damien Tate and given a view of his world. You're taken on his journey with him of finding his true family, discovering his one true love, losing her, and fighting to get her back. It's not an easy journey but Damien is a determined Hero and won't let life stand in the way of him getting his woman.
This story starts in 2003 when Damien is a young boy and progresses quickly up until he is sixteen. There is when you get to see him make his friendship with Cam Ahern, which changes his life and lets him meet Cam's twin Thea. From there you get to see him and Thea circle each other until they just can't deny their feelings for each other.
I really loved that the beginning of this book was kind of slow but gave us a ton of information on Damien. I fell in love with him when he was still a young boy in this book and there wasn't a doubt in my mind that he was going to grow up to be an amazing Hero. I don't actually want to say too much from where the book moved on from there because it's something readers should experience by going in bling.
Damien and Thea did not have an easy love story but it was one that had my eyes glued to my Kindle for hours until I finished. I seriously did not move from my spot on my couch from the second I started reading until the very end. I don't think I can recommend this book hard enough so please please read it.
In all honesty there were a few parts where I thought there was maybe a tad too much information going on and the story started to drag just a little, but it didn't stop me from loving the story. Bottom line, pick up this book and don't plan on putting it down or paying attention to real life until you're finished.

Second chance romances don’t come better than an LA Fiore second chance romance. Ms. Fiore’s Devil You Know is simply a stunning story of first time lovers who lose their way only to find each other again.
Thea and Damian’s journey is one you will savor. Through each of their POV’s you will fall in love with each of them while you learn what shapes them.
Every single character in this story has a purpose and Ms. Fiore builds their personalities perfectly in every aspect. I loved Anton and his supporting role to both Thea and Damian.
I also have to say Thea’s tenacity and strength is empowering. Never giving up hope in what she believed in.
And Damian, he is a beautiful soul with a lot of torment in his past that holds him back a little, but also shapes his present and his future.
LA Fiore never disappoints as she weaves a suspenseful and romantic story leaving the reader enjoying every aspect of this brilliantly written story.
I absolutely loved this story. The way it all came together and everything these characters endured to reach their HEA.
It really is a must read. Highly recommended.

This book was probably my favorite of all my favorites. Not only is it a story of characters and events, this book is a story of life. Its not what life throws at you, but ur decisions on how you handle things. Damian is mysterious and sexy, Thea is innocent and full of life and their connection - Electric and Sad, exciting and dangerous and absolutely PERFECT.
The story is so very captivating, the characters are so life like that i feel i have known them for years. Their emotions are mine and i felt their love, joy, and heartbreak every step of the way. Extremely well written, well thought out and EXCITING. When u think about pieces in a book daily and smile.. you know its a winner !!!

There’s this saying that good or bad, words can change your life. We’ve all read more than a thousand words, soaked up their meaning, and disected the undercurrent of their complexities. And you know what happens when you have the best words? You make the best sentences, you develop the perfect plot, and you have one hell of a story. So you see in this case, words were not only good, they were damn near brilliant and I’m glad I got to experience such a well crafted strong story that’s going to stay with me for a long time.
“I’ve waited for you half of my life. I want a lifetime with you”.
Damien Tate has been a grown up longer than he was a kid. Having his father leave at such a young age, Damien became the object of his mother’s cruelty which was filled with nothing but verbal abuse and hatred. Knowing kindness was not a part of his daily routine but one moment changed everything for this Sixteen year old and little did he know, that same moment would shape and change his future as well.
Thea knows what true love and kindness is. She’s been surrounded by it from the moment her and her twin brother Cam entered the world and she couldn’t imagine someone else not experiencing that kind of love. So when she meets her brother’s friend for the first time, Thea knew that she was going to show Damien that kind of love and kindness. But what she didn’t expect was to fall for the boy who would become her savior and her future heartbreak all at the same time.
This was a story that spanned close to fifteen years and let me tell you, it was beautiful, utterly heartbreaking and at times frustrating. I wasn’t expecting to be so invested in these characters and their lives to the point where I found myself secretly wishing for more of EVERYTHING. There were plenty of characters that made me fall in love with them, some broke my heart, while the others gave me the humor I was craving and I cannot tell you how much I appreciated that.
I also loved the fact that this had a bit of mystery/suspense that kept me guessing up to the end. Thea became one of my favorite heroines and I liked the fact that she wasn’t a push over and she said what was on her mind. She was quirky, fun,, and when it came to Damien, her love was unconditional and timeless. Together these two had a long journey set out for them and I will admit at times I was worried but with a love like theirs, I knew it was only a matter of time. And timing is everything.
If you haven’t read this book yet, there is something seriously wrong with you and I encourage you to talk to someone because that’s unacceptable. READ THIS BOOK!

L.A. Fiore is one of my favorite authors
Her writing is flawless and beautiful
Her stories will take you away from where you are to a place you want to be
If you read the reviews I wrote on her books so far I may sound biased but like I am friends with her or I would gain something from this here. And to be honest I might not really know her in "real" life - but YES I do gain something when I write my reviews.
The Gain is that this author hopefully knows how much I appreciate the fact that she writes books the way they should be and that I hope that she will do that for a long time to come.
Sometimes I read a book a day and I read so many books I love only to have friends asking me weeks later “you mentioned this book” and I can not seem to recall the author or the title.
It is the hazard of reading this much that book contents blend into each other because they were so similar (even if they were beautiful) and author names are only distant memories if you remember them at all. That is not me being mean – just honest.
But then there are these authors that you always compare others too. You tell your friends – there is this book I just read I can not remember the author but – it was a little like “insert THAT AUTHOR’s book”. And L.A. Fiore is one of those authors … I am not sure how often I told a friend of mine “that book is a little like “A glimpse of a Dream” for example.
In my mind on this List there are authors like Rachel van Dyken, Colleen Hoover, Jodie Ellen Malpas and several others – some known - some unknown but all dearly loved. And any author on this list can be sure that I will one-click their book before even reading the blurb.
BUT that will not stop me from being honest if I do not like a book from them.
This might be the point where you start wondering if I am ever going to mention the book I was supposed to be actually reviewing. Well yes I am … I just read L.A. Fiore’s latest creation called “Devil you know” and I noticed that I have no idea how to write the review without any spoilers.
So I decided to stall time and talk about the author instead. Seems that my time is up and spoilers at least some tiny ones can not be avoided. Lets see – The readers can call themselves lucky, after several standalone novels L.A. has ventured into the standalone but still series department and I am beyond happy, because the secondary characters she creates deserve their own stories to be told.
I was asking myself what I could tell fellow readers about this book that would describe it appropriate without giving away anything and as a joke I said “Well I could copy my review from change the names” and maybe write a “PLUS emotions times 10” beside it that would be fitting. I did not do that obviously but still it is true- everything I said about that other book rings true with this one, except that the story is totally different.
My emotions during reading were still the same. TIMES 10 Unusual for me was while I am usually a sucker for the ”book boyfriend” in this case kind of “fell in love” with the female lead.
Thea is so far the most unique female I read. Even in the most depressing situations she managed to come up with a point of view at things that was admirable. Others might say she was blind to the real life but not me I admire her determination.
Damian … I am not going to comment on my first thought when I read his name and the name of the book … (ups I might have done that just now #laughing) – No – seriously – Damian is a remarkable character – but I would expect nothing less from this author. His quiet presence is something that every woman would wish for in real life – but it was Thea’s balancing light that made him shine.
And even though on my kindle there are markings and notes on about 70% of the book there is this one passage near the end that really did a thing on me. No spoilers but you will have found the moment when you come across Thea’s brother asking a simple question “what are your intentions” … and everything after that left me speechless sitting there with my jaw hanging open and agreeing on Thea’s comment about the “Umbrella for two” #cryptic much – sorry I know …
Your day isn’t looking to good – everything looks bleak ? Its raining and your are bordering a weather depression? You are desperately in need of a few hours to yourself dreaming ?
Get yourself a copy of this book – it will not solve the problems of the world but it will make you feel better – so much from me on a book that has made me smile every time I think about it and its been almost 2 days since I read it…
I wished I had the approval to throw out a longer teasing quote or two … to make you understand but I guess you will have to simply trust me on this one.
And yes – Damian and Thea you were right - there aren’t enough cookies in the world for this …

AMAZING!
Thea and Damian met when they were in high school. He became a constant presence in Thea's house after becoming best friends with Thea's twin brother, Cam. They become friends and soon fall in love with each other.
But Damian's ghosts make him leave Thea. While Thea goes to college, Damian enlists. Although apart, their love remains strong.
After years away from each other, tragedy and trouble bring Damian home. Will Damian and Thea have finally their chance?
I loved Devil You Know! The story is amazing and it hooked me from the first page. It took me in a rollercoaster ride of emotions and I couldn't stop reading. It broke my heart, put it back together, and made me swoon, laugh, and cry. Devil You Know is full of drama, laughter, sexy scenes, heartbreaking moments, with the right amount of suspense and mystery.
I loved that the story was told from Damian's and Thea's POVs and the chemistry between Damian and Thea. It was off the charts!
loved Thea! She's a strong, independent, funny, sassy, smart woman. She fell for Damian when she was in high school and no other man measured up to him. I loved that she wasn't afraid to speak what was on her mind and how she always followed her gut and her heart.
Damian Tate grew from a reserved boy into a tall, dark, silent and broody man. He has been through a lot, between his family, having to let Thea go and the army. He's very possessive and protective, but he has a heart of gold and he's very charming. He made me swoon several times, especially when Cam asked him what his intentions with Thea were.
I loved Thea and Damian's family. They showed that blood isn't necessary to become family.
L.A. Fiore didn't disappoint with Devil You Know. She gives us a phenomenal book, with a captivating story and awesome characters. I loved the writing style and it made it very easy to connect with the story and the characters.
Prepare yourself for an amazing emotional ride! You won't regret a second!
I can't wait to read Anton's book!

Devil You Know is a book about epic romantic love and unconditional love for family. Damian never knew love until he met Thea and her family. Thea saw in his sad eyes the terrible childhood he lived through. Thea's parents and brother welcomed him as a member of the family. Thea and Damian were soulmates, they fell in love in high school and could never be together due to circumstances happening in their lives. After many years apart, they realized that they never stopped loving each other and they needed each other to make each other whole. There were many twists and turns and the story was fast paced. I loved the many characters, Thea's mom, dad, Cam and Anton. I strongly recommend you read this book

This book has a popular premise, and one that sucked me right in. The troubled, hot guy and the wholesome girl who wants to save him.
It's just that the story turned out to be a rambling, hot mess! The hero's reasons for leaving the heroine in the dust are appallingly weak. And speaking of doormats, she could rent herself out as one. He writes her the 'we can't be together' letter--that's okay, she'll write him every single day for however many years, and save herself for him. They meet again, and he's awful to her. That's okay, she'll forgive him instantly and be miss sweetness and light. He takes her on 'the lam' to keep her safe, but refuses to talk to her, even though he's super polite and considerate to every other woman he meets? That's okay, she's so in love she forgives him. And yada, yada, yada.
My favorite part (right before I gave up and deleted the damn book??) He won't sleep with her even though they're both hot puddles of lust, because he might fall for her. Uh, supposedly he's been in love with her all his life. Oh, God, at least I got one fabulous laugh out of the book.
How does it end? Who the heck knows, or cares ... I couldn't stomach any more.

AMAZING!!! Epic and Beautiful. Those are some of the words that I can use to describe this book. Devil You Know is one of the best second chance romance books that I have read. This book consumed me from start to finish. I had no clue what was going on around me when I was pulled into this world of love, heartbreak, suspense and betrayal. This is one of those books that ripped out my heart and put it back together again. Devil You Know is my first L.A. Fiore book. Just wow! I will definitely be reading her other books now. This book just simply blew me away. It was utterly captivating. L.A. Fiore just flat out wrote an amazing book so unlike others. There weren't any mistakes with this book. Everything was planned out perfectly and the plot line moved seamlessly. The character development was spot on. All of the characters were multidimensional and had depth. What I also loved about this book was the feelings that it evoked from me. I felt everything that the characters felt. I was right there with them. Laughing, crying, angry and happy. I felt so many emotions while reading this book.
Thea and Damian met when they were really young. That connection they had together instantly snapped in place. There was a pull to each other that couldn't be ripped away. They fell in love at 17 and that love never disappeared through all the trials and tribulations that they faced. They are in their early 30's in present time trying to find their way back to each other. I got to experience, see and feel their whole life together, and it was so devastatingly beautiful. Heartbreaking and yet powerful. Their whole life was brought out into the pages and it was done masterfully. I knew who Thea and Damian was. I knew their likes and dislikes. I experienced everything with them while they were growing up.
I loved and adored the characters in this book. Pretty much all all of them. They were multi-faceted and had so much depth. These characters felt so real to me. They each have their own story to tell, and I am hoping those stories get told. With this book, I got Thea and Damian's story. In their story, I saw glimpses into the other characters lives so I can't wait until they get a book of their own. Their personalities are huge and each character is so different. But when they met, something clicked. They all were a family. Thea's family became Anton's and Damian's and I loved that. I loved how Thea's family opened up their home to those who needed it. Offered their love when it was needed. Thea and her family don't judge anyone. They treat everyone equally until proven wrong. They truly are great people.
Damian had a horrible life. His family was just awful and he suffered so much. But he found love and cherished it. Anton in a way was a villain and a hero. I wouldn't really call him a villain, but he did live a dark life at times. He instantly found love with Thea's family as well. He was there for her when Damian wasn't. They grew to love each other as a brother and sister would. Cam was Thea's twin and they loved each other unconditionally. Cam and Damian were best friends and had always been best friends when they met so young. A picture in Cam's wallet changed Damian's whole life. These four were a true family. And nothing would tear them apart.
Anton's story is next and I can't wait to get my hands on that book! He was my absolute favorite!! Well, they were all my favorite, but there is just something about this man that I need more of. He is a complete mystery to me. And yeah, I want him to get a happy ending! I am also hoping Cam, Razor and Mic get their own book. I need to see more of them. They all need their story told!! There is so much more to these characters. So much beneath the eyes.
Devil You Know was exquisite. Mind-blowing! Words cannot express how much I loved this book. How much I cherished it. I can't get these characters and their story out of my head. This story is a new favorite of mine. A story that is unforgettable. Devil You Know was unpredictable and took me on a roller coaster ride full of twists and turns. It was gut wrenching and beautiful all at the same time. This book is a masterpiece that let me experience and feel so many things. It is a definite reread for me. I HIGHLY recommend it!! It is a MUST read everyone!!

L.A. Fiore returns with a suspenseful story about love, friendship and family. Things are not always what they seem and two young people will connect as soulmates and shine their light into a world of darkness.
Damian was only a child when he learned what abandonment and hate means. Having being treated as the devil, it was only natural to feel like one. His fears and doubts though are erased in the company of a bright girl, Thea and her family.
Thea knows happiness through her family and when she meets the lonely boy, she wants to share her brightness and show him that there is more than anger. Together they explore their first love but they both have to grow up to connect forever.
The years pass, they separate but their bond remains strong. When tragedy strikes Damian will do anything to keep her safe. Suddenly, danger threatens their world but Damian and Thea along with their family and friends will fight for justice and their happily ever after.
Thea is one of the best female heroines I have ever read. She is caring, she has a colorful personality and her humor is charming. She is so different than Damian and she just completes him. I love how patient she is and understanding to him though the man really pushes her limits.
Damian is a man a little broken. His past brought tears to my eyes and I felt so much compassion for him. Although, he is hurt and has some insecurities I love that he remains quiet and respectful. He is intense as a kid and he becomes a silent, protective man.
I have to warn you that their relationship starts strongly as teenagers but though they love each other truly, there are many obstacles in their way and they reconnect as a real couple much later. Sometimes I wanted to push Damian a little so as not to resist Thea. However, not once you will doubt their forever love. They are born for each other.
The thing that will win your heart in this story is the secondary characters. Every little character is written masterfully and is supportive of the couple. Each one has their role and they complete the interesting storyline. I LOVED the idea of a family not bonded only by blood and in the end, I found myself wondering about them and wanting their own books and thankfully, the author is ready to give us more.
The beginning of this story will make you cry, their teenage love will make you sigh and their forever bond and their epilogue will make you smile. Now how can we convince the author to give us many, many more books about them?!
4,5 stars!

Devil You Know is a captivating second chance love story in the first Lost Boys series by L.A Fiore. It’s a story that carried depth, warmth, longing, emotions, despair, grief, timing, humour and suspense.
The opening pages into Damian’s childhood made my heart ache for him. One minute he was cocooned with love and then the next it was taken away from him. Left trying to take on adult responsibilities and deal with an abusive parent he was all alone and unwanted until time passed, and then his friendship in school with Cam Ahern changed his life forever proving some bonds are thicker than blood.
The story follows Damian as he rolls with Cam’s family but its Thea, Cam’s twin sister who has him returning to see her smile, be in her presence where he feels emotions and an ache in his heart. The chemistry between Thea and Damian had me smiling and rooting for them. When they finally give in to their feelings their love proves that what they have is special, but life takes them in different directions and this is where the story really begins as it delivers angst, that slow burn romance and wraps you up in suspense.
A young loveable Damian was nothing compared to the sexy alpha male he returned as. Damian used his aloofness as a shield to protect those he loved, and in those times of silence I could feel the weight of his desire for Thea, no words needed to be spoken. Whilst Damian tried to keep Thea away feeling unworthy she was more than determined to break down his barriers, because their connection and belonging had already sealed their fate. The feeling of yearning and knowing deep down on a soul level that these two belonged together would not diminish as I read this book.
I loved Damian he was sweet, thoughtful, sexy, possessive and a protector. Thea was independent, confident, loveable, quirky and fun and together they were one hot couple, their sex scenes where full of heart felt passion. The secondary characters were just as amazing especially Cam, Anton, Razor, Mic and Thea’s parents, but I loved the blood brother bond Damian had with Cam and Anton and Cam’s relationship with his sister Thea. As I read Devil You Know my heart felt heavy, I smiled, giggled, screamed, felt the trepidation of suspense and welcomed the angst. It earned its five stars and now I’m excited to read Anton’s book because he is one badass!
