This book is awesome. I'll totally give it that. The only thing I didn't like about it is it's so sad. There were just so many parts that made me feel dissapointed, betrayed, and just sad. There is an amazing battle near the end, which is great. So, all in all, this is a great book.

I've been a fan of Redwall for a while. They are usually very creative and exciting. This one is exciting, but it's got pretty much the same plot as the other Redwalls. Just different characters. Fans of Redwall only

Outcast of Redwall is a wonderful book, though it has been talke dabotu in chats that Sunflash was pictured all to invinceably, though some may not agree. It lives up to the standards of all redwall books.

This is better than all the others but in the first book in it but, it doesn't tell at all about the outcast at all who is that mean creature who works with that weird animal that acted like she knew that death had been in the camp.
But this is highly recomended for ages 7-10 and is pretty good.
the first book Redwall is not even close to this!
Caleb A. Craig.

I love this book! The begging is exiting and it just gets better. Two things I didn't like: poor Skylarth 's ending and the conclution of Veil's true personality. But ya hafta love the rest of the book!!

I have to say, this is not the best Redwall book, but it is exciting. My favorite characters are the badgers. I love the redwall badgers, but they are especially great in this book! The ending is kind of depressing..

The worst redwall I've read sorry about that but I wanted to read this book because of veil not beucase of sunflash. It seems jacques tried to mage two book ideas into one, bad idea brian. The veil plot was half planed out and another thing is it me or all the critters are dull and the same I mean brian didn't even try on veil. Read if you wanted to just don't expcet veil being the main plotline. P.S. my god the redwallers are pains in this one.
P.P.S. if want to write a book about a bad guy trying to be good NEVER KILL THEM OFF!

I lllllllllooooooooooooooovvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeddddddd this book. Out of every Redwall book I have ever read (all of them), this book is my favorite. My favorite character is Sunflash the Mace. When I read about him, it makes me think of a giant game of golf, the way he whacks those vermin of Swartt's. I recommend this book to anyone who has or has not read this reccomendation. Reader's, tell your friend's!!!!!!

How Mr. Jacques made the book so interesting. I couldn't put this book down. What I really liked about this book was how it was so different from the rest of the Redwall books I have read. It was different because in the other Redwall books people just went out and fought battles, but in this book the Redwallers let in a baby ferret in to the Abbey. When the ferret grew up, he was made an outcast because of a terrible crime. That's mainly why I liked the book so much.

My children and I found the book to be wonderful & fasinating. I had a hard time putting it down at times. I usually read to my children at night before bed and they loved the animals in the book, especially the evil Ferret (Swart Sixclaw) and the good Baddger (Sunflash the Mace). Many times a ten minute story would result in an hours reading time. The book was delightful. I recomend it to anyone with children or those looking for a different type of book to read.

i have read this book twice. it was so good i'm going to read it again. the way jacques unfolded the plot was amazing!! it took me awhile to understand the title but i finaly got it. it seems that jacques spent a lot of time about sunflash the mace but he didn't. i say this is a really good book!!

In "Outcast of Redwall", Brian Jacques didn't really focus on the character that was mentioned in the title. The story is more focused on Sunflash the Badger Lord, instead of on the actual Outcast of Redwall, Veil. Don't get me wrong though, the writing is great and the battle scenes are both moving and amazing, but he just needed to give a little bit more on how Veil's life progressed.

Brian Jacques has done it agin, with the Outcast of Redwall. He captures the struggle between Sunflash the Mace, and Swartt Sixclaw, two sworn enemies. Also, Jacques weaves the tale of Veil, the son of Swartt, and the question is raised- will the abbey dwellers of Redwall, who adopt Veil, be able to make Veil one of them? Read the book to find out, it is excellent.

Once more we revisit the redwall series... and this time it is one time to many. The book runs into the problem of being predictable. It is much to similar to the other books in the series. The plot is lacking in many places and it just seems to go on for the sake of filling up more pages with text. While some of the other books were intresting, this book falls flat on it's face.

This is the first novel I have read in the Redwall series and it was an upset. I could not tell if this book was for adults or children? The book could have been a mesmerizing battle of good and evil but the story was padded with too much cheese. Why do I have to know everything these creatures eat for dinner anyway? The concept of Redwall seems very interesting but if the other books are similar to this one I will not hold my breath.

The book is about Sunflash the Mace(badger) and his friend Skarlath(kestrel)and the creatures they meet on their journey to destroy their enemy Swartt Sixclaw(ferret). While Sunflash and Skarlath are going after Swartt, Redwall gets a new occupant named Veil. Find out what Veil does to Redwall Abbey's inhabitants! It was not the best in the series but a good read nonetheless.

I wanted to read about a character that wasn't usual do-gooder Redwall mouse or squirrel or whatever. So I thought, a story about a shade of grey type ferret. AN ACTUAL CHANGE! How about that? Instead we get Super-Badger and the acutal OUTCASTING doesn't even happen until the LAST PAGE of Book 2 (of 3 btw). The (non) story between swartt and his dirty little secret son was so much more interesting than anything between that friggin badger and stupid bird. If you're going to call this "Outcast of Redwall", make it about the Outcast of Redwall. This should have been called "Another Invincible Badger in the Land of Mossflower". Horrible, just awful.

You have to read this book if you like the REDWALL books, for it is one of my favorite, if not my favorite book in the great collection from this wonderful author. The plot of the story is a catchy one, but I liked it a whole lot. This book is so highly recomended by me. The is a fantastic book for ages over elleven due to the reading level and size print of the words. YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!!!!

This book, to me, isn't the best book. Why? Because the title said the outcast of redwall, (Which is Veil by the way.) but it really just tells the story about Sunflash, a badger-lord. I wish they told the child-hood of Veil more, and less about the badger. I also didn't like the ending. If you like the redwall books, then go ahead read it. But check it out from a libary first, before you buy it.

I simply adore ferrets and the first Redwall book I read was Salamandastron. Even though ferrets were placed as the "bad guys" it's still my favorite book. I just can't accept the way Brian Jacques has made ferrets look in this book, though. He made the Redwallers look perfect and Veil (the ferret who was brought up in the Abbey) wicked and spiteful. I think everyone should be fair to ferrets.

This book is a really good book. It has a lot of action, and is very exciting. The only thing I don't like about it is that the beginning is very vague. It doesn't make much sense, unless you read it twice.(Which isn't a big task, because the rest of the book is so good) I would highly reccomend this book to Redwall Fans.

This is my favorite book from the fabulous Redwall series and I am presently reading it for the third time. My favorite characters were Sunflash the Mace, Togget, and Bryony. I really felt sorry for Bryony when Veil was outcast, but happy when he saved her in the end.

This book is one of Brian Jacques's greats.Based in the Mossflower forest, a Ferret and a Badger promise war on each other. This great book is about these two best following each other on a sworn oath to slay one another.Actually when I read it, I couldn't put it down!

Graced with Bright, vivid characters, rollicking good action,
and A deep, touching story. Outcast made a permanent
impression on me, only the best of Tolkien, Adams,
and Bakker can compare. This is Brian Jacques best Redwall
title yet. Definitly recommended!!

It is probably one of his best books ever, I have it in
hardcover and I can't wait for it to come out in paperback
so my friend can get it too (we both love his books)! I
would recommend it (and all the rest of his books) to anyone
who enjoys a good read!
