Do you like fighting or adventure books, well this is the book you desire to read. Lord BrockTree is a very interesting book. This book is special because you can't find these weird kinds of characters in other books and it has different plots throughout the book, when some books only have one plot. You can't let it go from the palms of your hand.

This book is about conquering people, places, and battles between good and bad. Stonepaw, is a badger lord, is living in his castle until he is disturbed by Ungatt Trunn, he is the leader of the "blue rats." Ungatt Trunn tells him to "leave the castle or face a battle with his army," obviously Stonepaw won't because the castle was home to many other badger lords. So Stonepaw and his 100 men army have a battle with Ungatt Trunn's army. The battle ended pretty quickly; it probably lasted around three hours. Stonepaw and his army lose and the "blue" army looks for him. Stonepaw and his other comrades are stuck deep within the castle, so they try to find a way out of there. Lord BrockTree, a badger that is a strong and powerful fighter and is very impatient, comes in to the fight the "blue" army and his men go through a perilous fight with blood spattering everywhere.

Read the book to find out what happens next. It's suspenseful despite the fact of being long, but the book is worth reading.

Lord BrockTree will take your breath way in the end of this book, and you will want to read the other books of him as well.

I chose this book because when I saw the cover of the book in the store I didn't know it I could be able to understand the book because the book cover seemed so medieval. I thought that it was cute to have a mole or what I thought it was on the cover with a cape and sword. It was really a badger. There are many books I could've chose from but this book was every eye-catching. The book also had the New York Times bestseller, so I tried it and it was a really good book.
This book had adventure, magic, and fighting. In the beginning of the story an evil villain Ungatt Trann tried to destroy the peace of the loving beast who lived there, but then a badger (the one on the cover) tries to save them by summoning the strongest of the strong take over. Then Brocktree has visions about salamandaston. I wont tell anymore so u can read the book and find out what happens.
I really liked the part when Brocktree was fighting with the evil villain. That was really cool. The author made the fighting part seem so real that it seemed that I was really there experiencing the whole thing. I hope that I get to read all his other books!

This Redwall is great! Some people go against it cause they say the formula is always the same but even if it is then by George it is a good one! You will not be able to stop reading it. This book is about a badger lord and his friends questing for the Fire Mountain, Salamandastron, which has been recently conquered by Ungatt Trunn, older brother of Lord Verdagua Greeneyes from the Redwall book Mossflower.
Outcast of Redwall: A Tale from Redwall :: Mattimeo (Redwall, Book 3) :: Martin the Warrior: A Tale from Redwall :: Salamandastron (Redwall, Book 5) :: Mariel of Redwall (Redwall, Book 4)

Lord Brocktree, going to Salamadastron, teams up with a young hare named Dottie. Dottie, a "fatal beauty", helps makes this one of the best Redwall books with her wit and humor. I mean, who could resist a insult battle? Hang on through the first chapter or two, though, since the scenes with Old Lord Stonepaw can get monotonous sometimes, and that's where you start out. But by "monotonous", I don't mean "I can't stand this." I mean "I think I'll skip this part the third time I'm reading it." Come and be along side Dottie, Lord Brocktree, and all of there followers in the epic battle to defeat Ungatt Trunn (brother of Verdagua Greeneyes from 'Mossflower') and rid the Westren shores of evil. It's a journy you won't soon forget.

I really, really enjoyed this book. It was the secnd book I read in the Redwall series. It is also one of my favorites. It is about a vicious wildcat conquerer named Ungatt Trunn and a badger, Lord Brocktree. Ungatt Trunn takes over Salamandastron and I mean really takes over. Lord Brocktree is gathering an army to win back his mountain. Eeulaliaaaaaa! The battle is off and to find out who wins read the book. Eeulaliaaaaaaaa!

I'd say this is a pretty good book. I thought that the author did a good job at using details. I thought that it was cool how the author made Brocktrees journey, and how Redwall got to the mountain. Brian also did a good job showing how much the badger and the wild cat hate one another. This book isn't hard to get into and once you do you won't want to stop reading it.

This is one classic of Redwall, even though that it is the thirteenth. The story is about the legendary badger lord everyone
has been dying to read more about, Lord Brocktree! {Obvious, eh?}
This book contains classy, and fun reading. I think this book has finally a villan, Ungatt Trunn. I don't want to give away anything, but you must read this!

Well, Brians done it again. He's pruduced another book in the Redwall series. This one is as good as the others, the has been no drop in quality whatsoever. He's put in plot twists, and more gripping moments than you can wave a stick at. He's been back and looked at the original books, seen whats missing and then written a book to bridge the gap in Salamanderstrongs history. A great book, with hopefully more like it in the mix. Well done Brian, good luck for you're next book.

I have read and own all of the Redwall books. This was one of the best. I was excited when it came out and I really had fun reading it. There was plenty of action. Comedy was not left out. There's a fair amout of travel, but they visit some interesting places and meet some new characters. If you need a good book, this should be on your list!

I enjoyed this book because it never had a boring part. The main character was a massive badger named Brocktree. I liked him because he was tough. The best part of the book was when Dotti a young hair maid defeated a wind bag hare nammed King Bucko Big Bones. The end of the book was good. Read to find who was victorious in the final battle.

Lord Brocktree is yet another masterpiece of author Brian Jacques. This tale depicts an adventure of two companions, Brocktree of Brockhall, and Dotti the haremaid. These two warriors set out to defeat Ungatt Trunn and his Blue Hoarde to bring peace back to the mountain of Salamandastron, once again.
I thought this book was fantastic. Brian Jacques really puts images into the readers' minds. For example, "It was situated in broad, beautiful woodland glade, backed by a steep, rocky hill, with a stream bordering one side, fringed with [junk] willow, guilder rose, and osier." This book was a lot like Martin the Warrior and all the other Redwall books because they all have characters who set out to bring peace to good creatures and to defeat evil. You won't be able to put this book down!

Lord Brocktree, by Brian Jacques is about a mountain fortress called Salamandastron that is under attack. A lone badger named Lord Brocktree and his friend, the Skipper of Otters try to take it back. The rest is in the book. I would recommend this book for all Jacques fans and fantasy-lovers. This story is a must have for 10 and up.

Lord Brocktree is a great book, but it is not has good as other Redwall books. It seems like Brian Jacques rushed through the book. There was little character development before the fighting started. I was hyped up about this book coming out, but it was a slight dissappointment. It starts out with Lord Stonepaw and his aged hares all living on Salamandastron. As always, they smell a war brewing. Then Salamandastron is attacked by a horde led by a wildcat named Ungatt Trunn. Lord Stonepaw is left dead. Then Lord Brocktree comes into play. He has a vision, like all badgers do, telling him to go to Salamadastron. He finds out about the Blue Hordes, and realizes the Bloodwrath won't help him. While he is traveling, he gathers up and army to go fight Ungatt Trunn...

This is a great tale for the REDWALL readers that like the stories from a Redwall present being or a past happening, one such story as this is THE LEGEND OF LUKE. I am devoted to reading any books, particularly fantasy, and this is without a single doubt, one of the best series of fantasy/adventure stories. The book was so great because it had wonderful descriptions. I also enjoyed the battles and such. The only bad thing about the story I didn't like(which oobviously wasn't enough to take of a whole star) was that almost every bluehorde captain and patrol soldier was an airhead. otherwise the story was superb. The author, Brian Jacques, is a wonderful writer and and shows his talent by writing these tales, which should of won an award of every possibility. THIS BOOK IS HIGHLY RECOMENED FOR ABOUT ANY AGE OVER TEN!

Don't get me wrong, I love the Redwall series, but the author, Jacques is rewritting the same old story again and again. This one was almost worst than Legend of Luke. He is also going back to the old stories and legends. Why can't he come up with ENTIRELY new characters? I still give it three stars, though because even though it's the same old story over and over again it is still pretty good but getting a tad bit old.

Lord Brocktree is one of the best books ever written by Jacques and that's saying something. Lord Brocktree is full of everything a good novel needs; especially action and adventure. I give this awesome novel 4 billion stars (but since I max out on 5, I guess I have to give it 5).

Lord Brocktree is one of my favorite books. It beats all the other Redwall books, and I will tell you why in this review.
This book seems ultimate, as in everything is x100. The huge hordes of Ungatt Trunn, The massive Brocktree, and the hopelessness of when Stonepaw was lord. The only part I don't like is that Redwall wasn't around yet, so there aren't the huge feasts like thy are in some other 14 Redwall books.
I strongly recommend you to read this book first, as it is first in the chronological order of Redwall.
Have a good read!!
-A helpful Redwall fan

Lord Brocktree, to say the least, was a boring book. It was almost as boring as Legend of Luke. It could be because of the pages and pages of pointless dialogue, or maybe the same repeated plot that Jacques keeps using. Either way, this book was anything but put-down-able. I give this 2 stars only because I have a soft spot for Brian Jacques and there were a FEW interesting parts. But, if you want Classic Jacques, the true quality of his best books, read Redwall and some of the other earlier ones before you read Brocktree.
In other words, Brian Jacques, what's with you lately?? Come up with a new plot!! And maybe the bad guys could win for once.

Well, i just finished reading Lord Brocktree, the 13th installment in the thrilling Redwall Series. In my opinion, this book is an outstanding piece to be added to anyone's collection of books. Although i enjoyed this novel, I couldn't help but feel like Jacques' rushed through some parts of the novel that he could've elaborated on. In his past novels, he focused on battles, and wonderful descriptions of swordplay, that would thrill even the blandest of readers, yet in this one, i feel that he went through them with too much speed, like he was almost behind on his deadline when writing it. That's my only complaint though, other than that minor flaw, it is a great novel, and everyone should read it. Also read "The Long Patrol", because it is the best novel in the Redwall Series to date.

This book is a must for Brian Jacques fans. It combined everything that is Jacques style: riddles, a quest, adventure, and battle. But I agree with the first reviewer, I think that the end of the book was very bad, and there were some other places where there could have been more added. Brian rushed the end battle, usually there is vibrant descriptions of swordplay, such as in the end battle of Mattimeo, and Martin the Warrior. These were the only bad things, and overall Lord Brocktree was a good book.

This was the first book that I had read in the redwall series and it was amazing. After reading this book I am excited to read the rest of the series. The books dialog can be a bit confusing at first but really adds to the story. I loved how it told many different creatures tales within the same book. I would reccomend this book to a reader of any age that likes stories full of imagination and fun.

Oh man! I am so thrilled at Brian's new book! He does it again when he ties 3 different happenings together. There is(surprisingly,) no feast! This book happens before Mossflower, and even before Martin the warrior! Read this book now! The greatest book I have read for months!

I though Lord Brocktree was a fun and exciting book. I love the way the author goes between the different plots to keep you interested. i thought the fighting hares were the most exciting part, they are brave, and really fast, this was pretty cool.
I have always liked the Redwall books, the ones with Salamandastron are the best because the have more fighting and better enemies. The way the author describes in detail all the little things makes it easier to paint a picture in your mind. All in all this is deffinately a book you want to read.

This book is definitely Brian Jacques's best since Redwall. The adventure, detail, and overall fun are still shining through. I don't want to give away anything, but I will say this: In this book, Lord Brocktree faces perilous, heart-stopping challenges, and with the help of his faithful hares, he tries to make it through. This book takes place before Mossflower, but after The Legend of Luke, his previous novel. Lord Brocktree is a must-read for any Redwall fans. I'd recommend it to everyone.

Oh man, what a PERFECT story! Lord Brocktree is on a crusade to destroy the evil Ungatt Trunn and save Salamandastron!

(Believe me, it's cooler than it sounds.) Action...not to mention searats, vermin, and the blue horde, Ungatt Trunn's worshipers, too. You won't want to leave your seat to do homework!

I will admit it, I thought 'It's before Martin the Warrior and Redwall isn't even built, so how interesting can it be?'. This book is incredible to say the least. The characters are bold, the heroes are brave and the detail is wonderful. Bravo!

In this 13th novel of the Redwall series Lord Brocktree, the Badger Lord that forms the Long Patrol and organizes life in Salamandastron is drawn by dreams of the evil wildcat, Ungatt Trunn to the mountain. Acompanied by young and brave Dotti, the two set out meeting friends along the way and tryng to win the battle by using their brains to make up for their numbers. As each book gets better and better, listen as Lord Russano the Wise unravles an extrodinary story

This book is one of Brian Jacques finest work. The detail is amazing, and I especially love all of the humor in this book. Most of his other books lack humor, but they're all still very good. I checked this book out at a library and now I'm disappointed that I will have to return it soon. This book is NOT WORTH checking out, no, it's worth BUYING! Next time when I go to a bookstore, I'm going to buy it.

Lord Brocktree is a great novel by Brian Jacques. Its definately not his best because it gets a little slow in a couple parts, but those slow parts are made up by the really exciting ones like the three competitive events between Dotti and King Bucko Bigbones. All in all, its an excellent book that goes along pretty well with the other twelve novels. Can't wait for the Taggerung!

This is a cross of adventure, chivalry, and friendship that only Jacues would conjure up. From the moment I picked it up, until the moment I put it down, I was entranced in a spellbinding story that took me to a place that was filled with magic and wonder. Only Jacues' next book could be so captivating.

This book was a okay book but not a great book. I think this because the plot of the story is very good and the setting really paints a good picture for you. But the characters are kind of strange and Brian Jacques doesn't really give good descriptions. Also i feel that the story skips around a lot and making you feel that something is missing. Because of all of these reasons i have to give Lord Brocktree by Brain Jacques a 3 out of 5 stars.

This book was utterly horrible and what made it worse was that I bought it with 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and that was utterly horrible too so don't get this book unless you feel like wasting money. People here give out 5's like candy. This book's plot is horrible, and the characters act like they were thought up when the guy had writers cramp.
Don't buy this book. Believe me.
