Amazing young lady, amazing book. I am so thankful for Jazz and how she is standing up for herself and others. Thank you Jazz for continuing to educate and advocate.

Jazz is an inspiration to the transgender community. Her story amazing story has touched me. With the support of her loving family, Jazz has been able to be true to herself. She is a beautiful girl with an amazing heart, and I am proud of her for giving a voice to other transgender kids out there. I have a transgender son, and I would highly recommend that others follow her story because she provides great advice!

Quite simply: #rolemodel for other Trans youth. Equally valuable to Trans youth, parents of Trans youth, or those who don't think they know anyone Trans. Sincere and should be on every summer reading list!

In this book, fifteen year old Jazz Jennings shares her experiences of growing up transgender in order to help other families with transgender children. She tells about her feelings and about many of the difficulties that she and her family have faced throughout the years from not being able to participate on a girl's soccer team to the now spotlighted bathroom issue. Throughout the book, Jazz emphasizes that her main goal is to help other transgender individuals and their families. The book includes photographs and a list of resources at the end.

Brave words from a beautiful human in a tumultuous time. In awe of the girl who was herself, and the parents who listened in a time when the word transgender was unknown. Honest and open picture of the human condition... and oh yeah, she happens to be transgender.

I bought this book yesterday and read it cover to cover in a matter of hours. My family and I have followed Jazz for years, since her first interview with Barbara Walters at age 7. We love her show "I Am Jazz" and watch it together as a family. She is a remarkably intelligent, articulate, considerate, beautiful, and caring young woman, and IMO she is a role model for transgender teens worldwide. My daughter and Jazz are the same age, and my daughter thinks she's awesome and wishes they could be friends in real life! My daughter is not transgender, but has quite a few friends who are, so we are definitely strong allies of the LGBTQ community. This book is a real eye-opener, especially for people who can't quite wrap their head around transgender or what it means, how it feels, etc. There is so much hate and ignorance in the world today, especially towards the transgender community. All of it is based on fear and nothing more. Read this book and tell me, how can anyone hate this girl? She's as normal as normal gets, and she is awesome!

This is a really interesting story of a young girl named Jazz who is transgender from a boy. It was a fresh perspective from a young person dealing with transition, her thoughts and feelings, and their struggles and triumphs.

This is an excellent book, the story of a teenager - who happens to be transgender - as she navigates through her life.

She might be a bit different, but having met her and reading what she's written, Jazz radiates a strength and maturity that those who judge and deride her with willful and militant ignorance will never reach.

To those of you coming over here, spouting your ignorance, and hiding behind your "sincerely held religious beliefs:" congratulations.

How does it feel attacking a child? Go, you. Way to show what you and your god is all about. You will NOT prevail.

Jazz and her family are brave pioneers. We are grateful they have brought this important topic about what some kids go through to the mainstream media. No more hiding in the shadows for these wonderful and special children.

Thank you to AudioBookSync.com for introducing this book to me this past summer during their YA summer audio book give away program.

I loved listening to this book - read by Jazz herself. It was interesting to learn about her experiences and heartwarming to know that there are parents out there who support their kids in the right ways. For a young adult, Jazz sounds extremely mature. She has been privileged to meet many amazing people while standing up for equal rights for all.

I would recommend this book for all folks - young and old - who are interested in learning about what it means to be transgender.

Enjoy and Happy Reading!
