All Anne Mc Caffreys books have a strong female protagonist. McCaffreys books allow women to step out of their traditional subservient role in literature and take charge! I appreciate the powerful female characters and how they thrive in adverse conditions. A great book for anyone!!!

I really like The Crystal Singer trilogy and the Universe created by Anne McCaffrey. I did read most of her books, and they are all linked one way or another.

This book was easy to read. I really like the characters, their personality. I won't say more, otherwise it would be spoilers.

I loved the first book in the series, Crystal Singer and was eager to read the follow-up, Killashandra, but I disagreed with part of the the plot where Killshandra fell madly in love with the guild director in the first book and had a very satisfying relationship with him, only to be too eager to dump him for the man who kidnapped and marooned her in the second. Other than that major disappointment, the rest of the book was quite interesting, giving a detailed look at the seedy underbelly of a successful tourism plot carried out by an alien planet.

One McCaffrey's more adult series always enjoyable. This book was my least favourite when I first read it but now I really enjoy reading for the contrast between killa's personal relationships in this book compared to book 3.

I have always loved Anne McCaffrey's writing and this book was no exception.

The world is a sadder place without her.

I highly recommend this book, and any other written by her, or that she collaborated on. You will not be disappointed.

I absolutely LOVED this series. Anne McCaffrey creates worlds so real that by the end of the book I had a mind to book a passage to Ballybran myself. Having said that, Anne's one weakness is male character dialogue. If you're looking for strong male characterization, you'll probably want to look elsewhere. For powerful, determined female characters who hold their ground while still growing and developing, however, Ms. McCaffrey's books can't be beat. Killashandra Ree, the Crystal Singer referenced in the title, has got to be one of her strongest heroines yet.

I've owned the hardback editions of the Crystal Singer books for years. I was thrilled to find them available for my Kindle! Now, I can have them with me while stuck in the hospital.

Thank you!

LOVE LOVE LOVE ANNE McCAFFREY

I want to see the Pern Series on the big screen or even on the little screen. I think it would make a wonderful series. But it does not seem like anyone else sees it the same way as I do.
