First off, I listened to the audio version. I liked it a lot, he gave a good mix of practical advice and inspiration. Usually I group books like this into self-help, practical advice or motivational, abstract advice. I would say it lay more on the latter side, with Trump telling lots of general tips on success and some of the strategies he has used to achieve his status. He includes a section where he talks at length about a week in the life of Trump, where he goes into nitty gritty details about his daily schedule over the course of a week. It got kind of tedious, but hey that's what days in the life of are all about right, they give you insight on what really goes on rather than only the glamour.

It was a good book, not just on how to get rich but how to achieve success in Trump's opinion. After the Apprentice I have come to have particular respect for him, and probably many others have as well.

The simplistic title of the book and knowing who the author is, should have been a tip-off that this was not what I was buying. I actually bought it out of curiosity and interest in a very unique and accomplished man. The book, however, is primarily about his organization, his (very general) principles of management and his (also very general) history of his career. It is an interesting read only if you like chatty, superficial books about someone else and their business empire. I will say, however, that if you haven't read any of his other books, it does give the reader an insight into how Trump thinks, his family, and in general, an overview of his lifestyle. The two stars is partly because I do not like misleading titles.

I do not think this book teaches readers how to be rich. It is VERY,VERY light reading. It is a lot of very brief chapters (2-3 pages) with Trump briefly discussing his opinions on being successful in work, business, real estate, and marriage etc. most of it is good advice, but it is also common sense. It is very weakly written and I do not think anyone is going to get rich reading it, there is simply no meat to it,it is like a light snack. My one HUGE key learning from Trump is that if you find a job/business that you love so much you happily get up and go each morning, work 7 days a week, and do not even want a vacation, that one thing will cause you to be a millionaire. However there is a fine line between loving what you do and being a workaholic.Keep watching the apprentice, appreciate Trump as a real estate genius, but save your money on this book.

I give it 3 stars for the great pictures and entertainment value.

There is nothing here that you haven't already read in Trump's previous self-admiration tomes. What does Trump know about getting rich anyway? He was born rich --- unless he he is giving advice to enterprising sperm everywhere, there is no point in his presuming to be an authority in this area.
Other than Trump blowing his own horn, there is precious little practical advice to be found, just hackneyed generalized advice. Buy low, sell high --- I guess you could call that advice, but what can you do with that?
Raising this to an even more absurd level is the news this month that Trump's company is bogged down under almost 2 billion dollars in debt. Evidently Trump's advice doesn't include "don't leverage yourself excessively" and "learn from your earlier mistakes." If most of us truly conducted our financial affairs in the style of the Donald, we would be living out of a box on a heat grate.
One step towards financial success would be to check this book out of the library, rather than wasting money buying it at the store. Better yet, just sit down in the library for maybe 30 minutes and skim through the book without checking it out. It isn't as though you will be missing any hidden nuggets.

I'm sorry to say that this book does not give me any real insight in how to do better real estate deals. The book would have been brilliant if the title was simply "My Ego". It's like a mini-autobiography that just covers his prime. Then by the end it turns into an infomercial for his TV show. I don't know if I want to even consider reading "The Art of the Deal" because if it anything at all like this book, it is mislabeled and will not truly help me make better real estate decisions. The only thing this book gives me is leverage in a Trump watercooler/dinner discussion. That's about it. :(

Before reading this book you have to understand is that with Trump what you see is what you get. If you decide to take him seriously then indeed he does display the characteristics of an arrogant, self-serving business leader. However, if you take this book for what it is, a how to guide that's made to entertain, you can get much more out of it. Some of the more useful aspects of the book come from the chapters where he talks about his daily activities, including his habit of reading from 5 am to 8 am. Without reading the book you really wouldn't have known that the Donald was a vociferous reader or that he doesn't gamble, smoke, or drink, although his business ventures encourage the gambling.
When it talks about doing what he loves in business and the advantages that it has on people, it's pretty clear that he lives in his own little world. With 20,000 people in his organization and a flurry of personal assistants shielding him from the thoughts of America, it's pretty evident that he'll be continually acting this way for the rest of these days. If you haven't seen the Dateline special in which he is interviewed about the book, one quote is worth remembering. Stone Philips asks him about his chapter imploring people to get a prenuptial agreement to which he responses "if I hadn't had those strong prenups I wouldn't be speaking with you today, unless you were doing a special on losers." Now I don't know how he feels in real life, but that in itself was entertaining. Anyway, save your money and just know that even people at the top spend a good amount of their time during the day reading, a practice we can all learn from the Donald.

I have to give Donald Trump credit for making a 'comeback' in the current media culture where contempt for the audience is the number one prerequisite. And to top it off, he gives us another impressive tome to add to his collection of 'work'.

You can get a good chuckle and also pick up amazing, hitherto unmentioned business advice from 'The Donald', who appears to have forgotten the first step to getting rich: being born rich, of course.

Donald also pokes fun at himself by writing about that copper-hued thing on his head, then waxing on further about points so profound I forgot them on my way to the door of the bookstore.

Recommended if you think being on TV is a sign of great success in your life, or if you believe that getting rich can be learned from a book.

The book is interested, but the title is misleading. It provides you with vivid information about Donald Trump's views, beliefs and values, but tells little how to get rich. The best books that I've read about getting rich are Robert Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad Poor Dad", "The Millionaire Next Door" by Thomas Stanley and "Transforming debt into wealth" by John Cummuta. Both of three works above mentioned, although are written in completely different manner, style and by different people, share the same main goal: the importance of assets and the burden of liabilities. This is the essence of getting rich. It's always easier to create assets than to purchase them. How would you create assets then? There are many ways. There is a book "The Ten Roads to Riches" by Ken Fisher that I recommend.

Trump has created wealth for himself and his family twice. I say twice because he was almost bankrupt in the 1990s. While this book is not a step-by-step instructional manual on how to get rich, it is more about how Trump did it, how he thinks, what motivates him, and his personal stories. Not everyone has to follow the exact same path, but it helps to read how he's done it. Trump, just like Warren Buffett, stresses the importance of public speaking. Not very many people can do it, so if you master it, you will stand out. While this is not his best book, you probably will find it enjoyable.

I think that every single person in a management position should own a copy of this book and read it frequently. This isn't one of those "business-self help" books. It's common sense and if my manager from my previous job had read it and lived by it, I'd still be there.

"Good people equals good management and good management equals good people. They have to work together or they won't work together for very long. I've seen good management get by with mediocre people, and I've also seen excellent people get stuck in the mires of bad management. The good managers will eventually leave, followed by the good workers, and you will be left with a team that gets along because they're all mediocre. Save yourself time by getting the best people you can. Sometimes this can mean choosing attitude over experience and credentials. Use your creativity to come up with a good mix."

If you have a boss who has poor management skills, give him/her a copy of this book - secretly.

While not the richest man in the world, Trump is one of the most resilient. On the Forbes 400, his wealth is estimated at $2.6 Billion. Therefore, I'm all ears when it comes to advice straight from the horse's mouth.

Trumps book on How to Get Rich is chock full of advice, especially for getting off the ground - and that's what individuals and start-ups alike need more than anything else.

"Get going ... Don't just sit on the runway and hope someone will come along and push the airplane." - Donald Trump

Trump also says that "Negativity is also a form of fear, and fear can be paralyzing." So true! Negativity is probably the number one reason startups never get off the ground. After all "How can you fly if you've already clipped your own wings?"

On the subject of employees, Trump places responsibility in his own hands. As a manager "...his bad performance is not his fault, but mine: I simply hired the wrong person by overestimating his capabilities. I add that if he'd like to change my mind about my initial mistake, it's up to him." - Priceless.

All in all, a great book on how to get off your %#@, create a team, build something big, and get rich!

Took one day to read this book, each chapter is extremely short (about 3-5 pages each). The title of this book does not reflect its content. It should be called The Basics of Managing a Company. Other advise that is given (eg. On Investing) Trump states "Invest Wisely". He doesn't tell you what to invest in or how to do it. If you want to learn how to get rich, one is better off buying a book by Suze Orman, because this one fails completely. It is clear that this book took advantage of the show The Apprentice because the timing seems right for Trump to get back on top.

I'm wondering if the people who've panned this book are: angry with themselves for not doing anything with their lives; for not doing "their thing" to the best of their ability; or if they're one of these people who have suddenly realized they live in an armpit of America and resent "big city folk."
Also, a word to Floyd of North Carolina: Your money would have been better spent in purchasing the latest edition of the Merriam-Webster Dictionary and a copy of "Strunk and White's."
Oh, but the book! I enjoyed it simply because I'm interested in what makes successful people tick. At times, I do think Trump is obnoxious and stuck in an 80's mindset, but I also feel he's earned the right. Would you be shuffling down 5th Avenue with your head down if you were in his shoes?

Get the message readers! Those who became wealthy from smart things they did became wealthy because THEY DID WHAT THEY DID!

All you have to do is read, study, and copy what they did, and you too will become wealthy!

It amazes me how people just don't get it. You just want to get your paycheck and stay in your little box.

PLEASE do yourself a favor and get "set free" from your "fear factor" and go out and buy, read, and follow Donald Trump and what he did to become wealthy. If you hang around the right people, or read enough of books written by successful people, then IT WILL rub off on you.

Donald Trump
Russ Whitney, (Building Wealth)
Robert T. Kiyosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad)

And PLEASE don't let negative people stop you from success.

My review of this book is a direct reflection of how the book fails to actually teach how to get rich. Readers should know that after I read this book in its entirety, I was very disappointed in how the content did not give me any help whatsoever in making money. I think the title should be something different. It should be titled, "How to Have a Better Attitude About Working," or something along those lines. Trump does a good job stating that it is important to have a good ethical work approach when becoming a leader in the work place. The main reason I do not like this book is because the title completely misleads the reader into believing that if they just get the book, they'll learn how to get rich. Not so. The book does nothing to demonstrate good investment opportunities or display realistic financial success plans. Trump has a message of being a person who works hard, but there are many people who work hard and get no financial rewards. Getting rich is much more than just working hard. I hate this book. It only deceives people who genuinely want to learn how to invest money the right way, wisely, and make money. If you really want to make money, you need to know the industry, the audience, serving people, and always making a profit. Entrepreneurs have to learn marketing, legal, and finance. The person making a profit from this book, is Trump, but the book offers no financial wisdom. Only motivation to be a hard worker. Save yourself the money and buy a book on financial business success. Focus on the finances because in order to make a profit, you have to take in more than you spend.

Picked this off a book shelf and read the first 20 pages and flipped through the rest. Snore... Not surprising that it's not really some get rich bible to have on your desk. Donald has never intrigued me much and it didn't shock me that his book didn't either. If you need practical advice at how to manage your finances and improve your people skills you won't find it from a guy who was $9 billion in debt and is one of the most unpleasant people to listen to. He most likely dictated 30 pages of this book to his "two beautiful assistants" one afternoon and they filled in the rest when he left for Europe to find another wife.

I gather that the only reason he wrote the book was to collect a bunch of money from people who believe he has credibility in making money (which he does). However, he didn't turn out a very good book. In fact, it offered no specific information on helping anyone get rich. Each chapter named something off like pertaining to business in his world like "Having Patience for the Deal" and "Always Have Them By the Balls." Nonsense like that. He even had a chapter at the end about his hair style. I was very disappointed and felt cheated. If he was going to write a book, he could have at least offered some legitimate information instead of something half-assed to make himself even richer. He should have called the book: "How I Get Rich By Selling a Crappy Book to People."

When I was in my 30's, and in the process of growing my business, I read Trump's Art of the Deal, and read the book like it was a bible. Then I grew up. Trump is not a great writer, and he seems to have the same message today that he had in the `80's. That being said, I do recommend this book for a specific reason. Trump is a great brand, and as much as we mock The Donald, the fact of the matter is the man knows how to sell condos, apartments, hotel rooms, office buildings, and books. He is a great promoter, and a great brand marketer. He knows what the Trump brand means, and he has created a lot of emotion for the Trump name. If you read the book like a marketer, and ignore his self-proclaimed sage advice, you will gain some meaningful insights as to how to grow a brand, and protect a brand. I have to give Trump credit; the brand is significant throughout the world. But I will admit, I was embarrassed to be seen reading this book on my flights. I recommend the book, but remove the cover prior to reading to save yourself some glances of amusement.

In Trump: How to Get Rich, Trump tells a lot of how he became successful and a lot of business deals he had made. He describes the art on making a deal. He talks about the secrets to making a business deal by telling you a few key points: timing, how much you are willing to spend and negotiation. Trump also goes into what makes a successful business and who you should look to hire. He tells the reader that when you want a raise, to go to your boss at the right moment. How to get rich was a interesting read, but was not very a how to. It was more a how he did it and how you take away from it is how the book will affect you. If you can get the message of the book, you will find this book to be very good and informative.

Short, concise, and to the point. That's the way the book is written and that's the way I like it. Get to the point, don't B.S., then move on. The brief sections makes it easy to read and reference. Just like his buildings, the layout and design of this book makes it enjoyable.
I don't believe he's given away all of his secrets, but it's very interesting to see what goes on in the day in the life of Donald Trump. I also beleive he was hamming it up a bit (probably to some perspective clients, lenders, and customers), but that's ok. I wouldn't expect anything less.
The way he describes handling obstacles that cross his path is actually inspiring. It kind of keeps things in perspective. He may deal in millions, but I figure anyone's obstacles can be overcome if they use his processes with dealing with them.
Even if you don't like him, it's fascinating to see how his life works (and that's just the part he let's us see). I, for one, appreciate the doors being open for others.

Some people love him, some hate him. Buut one thing is for sure, we can all learn from him. While not everyone can get on his hit series The Apprentice, everyone can learn from him by buying this book.
I'm with a company that does business around the world. In 17 months, this company has already created over 7 millionaires, people currently earning a 6 figure monthly income. They expect to b ecome the fastest company to reach $1 billion in sales. The highest achievers that I have talked to agree that the Donald has something worthy to say. Once you become a millionaire, who do you ask for advice? Of course, a billionaire! And you couldn't find a better mentor than Donald Trump.
Thank you Donald.

Overall I liked the book and I am not particularly a fan of Mr. Trump. However he has had good times and not so good times personally and professionally. I think there are a lot of pearls and wisdom scattered through the book about dealing with life. The book is really not How to Get Rich, but about certain lessons he has learned about the ups and downs of his life. It is an easy read, a lot of short chapters. Buy the book and donate it to the library when you are done with it.

I have a terrible confession to make: I have read all of his books. Do I love trump? No, but it is fun to read about Trump. His buildings are beautiful and he is a fascinating person. Having said that his books have a high degree of self promotion, and if you read some of the other unauthorized books you begin to understand that he is a complicated person, much more so than revealed in these books that he writes.

Donald trump is one of the best know business people in the world. He is not the smartest nor the most, not by a long shot. He got his start in the family business with his father Fred. But unlike his more conservative father that built the business in Queens, the "Donald" embraced risks in Manhattan and later in Airlines and Casinos. Like many successful people he got a head start. I like to say he became a billionaire by starting with 250 million. That might be an exaggeration but he definitely took to business like a fish to water and has basked in all the publicity. He got a running start with his father Fred and the jury is still out on Trump. It is possible that he will still lose his casinos if he cannot make them more profitable. So stay tuned.

Now for the book. I think it is a good but not great book, and in some ways more honest and more human than some of his earlier books such as "The Art of the Deal" written before his first fall. In this book he thanks a lot of people and that is nice to see. He has a lot short one page business comments such as investments, attitude, etc all good general business comments. He then throws in a number of personal details and pictures with famous people, and page after page of name dropping of other famous folk, which are really all just self promotion material, but what the heck, it is entertaining.

Okay from this book you cannot make millions like Trump - unless your dad has a real estate business in New York. But it is fine and not too deep entertainment. It is a mindless and fun read, and will only take an hour to breeze through the 200 pages of large font and photos.

This book happily surprised me. Through the down-to-earth, brilliantly written pages, Donald J. Trump sets an example of ethics, passion about your work, integrity, having an "open door" and learning something every day. His book inspired me and gave me more pointers about "thinking big" in business, because as the book states: "...what's the difference between losing $100,000 or hundreds of millions of dollars... so you might as well have really gone for it."
"TRUMP How to Get Rich" goes way beyond a quick money making strategy. It is a genuine life philosophy, and while reading this book, it often reminded me of Dale Carnegie's books. I would say that Donald Trump is the Dale Carnegie of business, but that is far too limiting. This book will teach you a lot more than how to get rich. He writes about when he lost nearly everything, and why. (He wasn't staying on top of everything.) He shares with genuine honesty, humility and dignity. There are so many life lessons in this book, all geared to your success.
Highly recommended if you are passionate about creating the success you deserve. 10 Stars!

Don't be fooled by the title. This is not a "how to get rich" book in terms of what deals or stocks to get into to make money. The term "rich" in this book has to refer to personal growth and develpoment. This book is a very interesting insight into the man himself. Throughout this book Mr Trump will describe what he expects from his employees, associates, business partners and most of all, himself. this book is written differently than most books on success. Keeping with Mr Trumps personal style he discusses the subject and then moves on, he doesn't beat the horse to death. Throughout the book the reader will see the importance Mr. Trump places on his personal ethical standards for living each day, and his commitment to world class excellence in everything he does. I found this book to be refreshing in that sense, straight forward, and very frank. It causes one to sit back and reevaluate ones own persona. Very inspiring.

The highly pined for MBA degree is something that undoubtedly strengthens not only the individual but society as well. Even so, many business executives and other corporate big-shots are now wondering if the MBA is indeed obsolete, at least in the practical sense and the manner in which the skills are received by students at American Institutions. Among some of the complaints appear to be that leadership and other requisite skills are a little below par. Getting to the point (by the way, a very important aspect to attaining success that Donald covers in this book), a problem among young apprentices and aspiring business leaders, are not prepared to handle the intricacies and complications of smoothly running an institution, be it a small business of 3 employees or a large corporation with thousands of employees. And one thing about the title, there is some credence to Trump picking this title that should be recognizable by those who have succeeded: you can get rich doing anything that you have a passion for. I truly believe this is the single most important "skill" in getting as successful as Donald Trump is. This book only further substantiated those beliefs.

The Whole Book

Let me get to the main point: this book is formatted in a very different fashion than that of Trump's preceding work, "The Art of the Deal". In his former book, the valuable information on running a successful business was presented as a kind of "moral of the story"; the story, of course, being about how he executed a deal. In "How to Get Rich", Trump devotes whole chapters (in actuality, really vignettes rather than complete chapters) to a success tip, easily outlining the book with literal titles of the subject at hand. Furthermore, the book is divided up into sections that concern different aspects of achieving success in one's business and personal lives. Another feature (for those of us who liked to look at the pictures in a book when we were pictures) are numerous pictures of Donald Trump at work and at play, many more pictures than were depicted in his former book which sometimes felt like a printed advertisement for "Trump Tower" and "Trump Parc Place". And yes, there is a section entirely devoted to Trump's hit TV show, "The Apprentice"; so all you Apprentice fans, this one's for you.

Parts Which Should be Read for Success

As I mentioned earlier, the book is aptly named but is partially true, and partially misleading. True in the sense that, given a reader's passion and ambition to practice something that they are really interested, you really can get rich. Misleading in that it may overextend itself to those who may think that getting rich is just something that comes to those willing to merely "do" rather than those who wish to "succeed". Don't get me wrong, this book is chocked full of terrific advice that may not even be explicitly taught in some American business schools, but the point is that you have to want it. I think this is the most valuable lesson that Trump inculcates in "How to Get Rich".

One part of this book which I think should ring true with all those who have succeeded in running a company, is the chapter of branding yourself. (Which Trump has obviously not failed in doing) Case in point: Ubiquitous would be an understatement for Donald Trump, who is also pretty generous about plugging himself. Before reading this book, I used to look upon such behavior and think of it as bragging but now I realize just how IMPORTANT it is to "toot your own horn". To return to my example, just look at Trump, his name is becoming a brand and it seems like anything he touches turns to dust; and it shows when he builds a new building, which usually sells out rapidly. (His new tower in Chicago is a good point) I am not going to say that you should always be this way, but you should find the right time to give sing praises about yourself to others. Be subjective.

Bottom line, this book has all the right tools that great business schools seem to have removed from their tautologies: how to be a good leader. After reading this book, I see why it is so important to take charge and speak up for yourself. I also understand why success comes from sticking with your original beliefs, sometimes being stubborn in the process. In my opinion, Trump has perfected the reemphasized the importance of leadership and marketing in the practice of business. In the increasingly competitive global market, it is becoming less and less likely that success will just "happen", that would be a travesty although it may have been the case just a few centuries ago when America was the land of opportunity. Now, more than ever, success comes as a consequence of innovation and good-old-fashioned guidance. If your looking to start a business or even sharpen your own everyday social skills, I would advise you to buy this book. It truly is an MBA in a box.

This book is a good read. However, it felt a drop short of the previous books that Trump wrote. Many of the lessons were repetitive from the previous books. Nevertheless, I still feel that there is something to gain for everyone even if you only skim it quickly.

I recommend this book to everyone after you read his first two books. '

Sorry for the "You're fired!" line--I couldn't help it. I gotta admit I'm a big fan of the Donald--I like how he has big brass ones....I like how he has heart....I like how he wants to be associated with the very best.
I find it interesting how the other reviewers have been remiss about mentioning anything about the title--i.e. The Donald is of course referring to getting rich as in money, but also how to get rich as in becoming a fully actualized human being....
Finally, thank you for writing this book Donald--I have no doubt this book will top your "Art of the Deal" book in sales!

How to Get Rich should be titled "How I Got Rich - and Love Talking about It." This isn't a how-to, it's a how-I-did-it book. If you like hearing rich people talk about how they got richer (besides being born with the proverbial silver spoon in their mouths), this is a good book. If you're looking for rock-solid ideas of how YOU can get rich, forget it. Trump starts each mercifully short chapter with generalized advice about having passion, staying focused, working hard, and then lapses into People-speak about how he stays focused, works hard and has passion. This guy pats himself on the back so much, so often and so hard he should've written a chapter on being a contortionist. There is NOTHING in this book that will help anyone with half a brain realize their goal of being rich. You wanna get rich? Do something you love, work hard at it, keep your eyes on the prize and surround yourself with people you trust. That's Trump's bottomline - besides his billions in the bank.
Save your money and don't buy this book - unless you want to help Trump get richer by buying it.
He's so fired...

After reading "The Donald's" earlier books, I was excited for this most recent release because it was less focused on self promotion (relatively speaking of course) and instead dedicated on sharing secrets that have made Mr. Trump a real estate icon that can "walk the walk". Much of what is said in the book is common sense and few items will be new territory (a chapter on Mr. Trump's hair is a notable exception). However, Mr. Trump's unapologetic raw ambition flows through this book and inspires those who are truly focused to getting ahead in the world. More importantly, Mr. Trump states early and often in this book that money should never be the chief motivator, and if you look deep enough there are actually some good morals trying to seep out (even a reference to the great Dr. Norman Vincent Peale). Overall, I would strongly recommend this book as supplemental reading to those hooked on The Apprentice, and familiar territory but still worth the read for those familiar with Mr. Trump's earlier publications.

This book is more about Donalds life than about how to "Get Rich". Getting Rich IS part of his life, however, it seems like he goes off on tangents about things he wants you to know that are not really related to getting rich. For example, he talks about holding a grudge against Mario Cuomo. I don't blame him for holding a grudge but what does that have to do with getting rich? This is just one example of many digressions. Donald should write an autobiography if he wants to put his general thoughts into a book. The amount of useful information is small compared to the amount of print that's in the book.

This is a book about what Trump likes to do best and that is to talk about Trump. That means that those who want to get another look inside of Trump's world will enjoy it. Also there are a few points on how he sees business that are worth the read. It is an easy read that should not take more than a couple days to complete. If you are looking for deep advice on business, do not purchase this book. However, if you are looking for an enjoyable read with some good points to consider, this is your book.

Here is a guy with a humongous chip on his shoulder and a total lack of humanity. If anyone actually bought this book after browsing it for 3 seconds, and, even worse, thinks they can use any of his so-called advice to build honest wealth, they deserve to remain poor and frustrated, because they are stupid. Those of you who rated it highly, name one useful advice you can start implementing. Ok, let me help you.
1. Donald loves his hair
2. Cuomo is a schmuck (with this I agree, but how do you turn this into money?)
3. You must hold a grudge(sometimes? always? how do you decide?).
4. Donald has long, mean memory and yells at people who don't think he's king.
5.Donald does not need more money but he wants more anyway, to get more love, I guess.
6. The publisher paid Donald a lot of money for this book, so he had to come up with something.
7. Donald, Donald, Donald, Donald... (Gee, I've started to hate the name Donald)
That's it. I'm drawing a blank. Which one of these will make you rich?
The only advice worth imitating, if you want to be rich like Donald is not in the book - but I'll give it to you for free: get a lot of money from your daddy, like Donnie did!
PS How do you assign zero stars?

The title of the book has absolutely nothing to do with it's contents. It was a complete waste of my time. If I hadn't downloaded it for free, I'd be asking for my money back. Even still, I feel cheated & robbed, having wasted my time listening to it. I feel Trump owes me money for wasting my time.
I enjoy reading & listening to audio books, especially self-improvement & financial ones. I have a collection of over 400, and I'd have to say that this could very easily be the worst of the lot. I started off being excited about listening to it, to see what I could learn from a very wealthy individual who is eager to share his knowledge. After the first couple of CDs I really started to get disappointed...he hadn't shared any useful information. All he kept talking about was the people that he liked (people that have said nice things about him), the people he hated (people that didn't kiss his ass), how nice his buildings are, how he has incredible insight into people & things, and yes, even what he sometimes eats for lunch.
All this information, if you can call it that, is a bunch of meaningless drivel. It's a sorry excuse for him to boast & brag about himself. It gives NO meaningful information. I started listening to it because I wanted to learn something. What I learned was that he is nothing more than a (rich) braggart, who has stooped very low, deceiving the people who are genuinely interested in learning something.

Donald Trump's books are enlightening and fun to read. They do not offer any kind of detailed analysis of real estate investing. Instead they offer a sampling of Mr. Trump's more interesting experiences and opinions. This is valuable because there aren't too many folks who have achieved the level of success that Mr. Trump has and who are also willing to share their insights.
The focus of this book is a series of clear and concise little "lessons" on management and success. Also included are a number of short narratives that illustrate Mr. Trump's points.
Considering some of Mr. Trump's attitudes and values toward business and life may help you emulate, even to a small degree, some of his success. Buy the book and enjoy it.

Trump is a fascinating character and great at being a celebrity. He's a big believer in the American Dream, and one can't fault him for that. This book is interesting if you approach it wanting to hear his voice in your head and get a little inspiration to keep moving and working toward your own dreams. If you're looking for specific advice or detailed plans, go elsewhere. This is not a book for deep thoughts.

This is the kind of book and role model we need in today's world of growing collectivism. Mr. Trump has the credibility that is missing from so many wanna-be's out there. His lifestyle of integrity, sincerity and creativity backs up his philosophy and practical genius. His lassaiz faire capitalistic approach and strong ego brings a balance to a world where business-bashing and self-righteous altruism is a greater threat to our freedom than ever before. Mr. Trump reminds us of the American Dream and the value of Capitalism and truly free market. The examples and lessons in this book are upbuilding and motivating. A great read!

This book will not teach you how to get rich, but it will definitely add more change to Trump's pockets. If you want to make him even richer, buy this book and then waste some more of your hard-earned cash at one of his real estate seminars that he's been doing lately. He has several partners in tow who are also snake-oil salesman, infomercial, real estate "investors" like Carlton Sheets, etc.

His book, his seminars, and his BS Real Estate partners will pump you full of adrenalin about how to make millions, all of which is great until reality hits, and you learn, as everyone does, that wealth comes only from hard work, savings, running your own business, dedication, etc.

Do yourself a favor and buy a hard-core book on real estate investing, save your money, work hard, and give yourself a chance to retire -- perhaps not rich, but in comfort. Leave buying this celebrity buffoon's book to other fools.

The title is misleading. The title made me think, I would learn how to grow my networth. Trump should have more appropriately called it; How I was rich, and leveraged myself to more wealth, for now. Trump is a huge risk taker. The average person could easily lose all with employing the same risk taking that Trump does.
Trump is SO egotistical that he doesn't tune into the average reader at all.
It's quite self serving that he says you could make as much money on the roulette wheel as the stock market. Both are risky, but investing in companies is much different than gambling on a roulette wheel.
His advice about a prenup may have worked for his lifestyle, but hopefully most people want a real partnership.
His advice about screaming expletives on the phone is odd.
I did laugh out loud. That has some value.

I have to admit I was never a fan or follower of Donald Trump. I knew he has made a fortune in real estate and had his ups and downs. So I picked this book solely because I liked "Apprentice". I was very impressed, and couldn't put it down until I finished it. Very easy read! You can definitely pick up Trump's personality from the writing of this book - straight forward, concise and to the point. The book is not a get quick rich manual, but is more of a collection of stories and their effect on success. Make sure to read a part about "Typical Week of Donald Trump", it will put things in perspective on what kind of character and traits you need to become successfull. Also, Trump is not urging everyone to make money in real estate, like many other books these days, moreover he focuses on personal happiness, you should do what you are good at and what makes you happy.
I would definitely recommend the book to everyone as it is very intersting and very entertaining.

Sorry, even though I liked the Apprentice, this book is not that great. A few good pointers in the first 100 pages, then too much bragging and about the typical day of Donald.
Who cares if he has lunch with Regis or if he yelled at a contractor or his golf date with the president? Lots of filler!
What does this have to do with me becoming rich?
Much of this book( more like 70% of it) is simply a diary of life of Trump or information regarding the Apprentice or NBC which we've already seen. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY it is Entitled
"How to get Rich". Do your self a favor invest the $30 on eBay and list an item that you know you double a return on your money because this is a dudd! I practically read the whole thing in 3 hours. Not much quality info in it to absorb.
Not to take anything away from Donald.. he is very successful but I think people buy this book because
1) Old Don is a wealthy man
2) his name is a BRAND name
3) the Apprentice just finished so people are expecting more.
If I want to read anymore of his stuff, I'll look at he library first! Two thumbs down!

Throughout Trump's book, one word could coincide with richness, and this word is passion. If you're passionate and dedicated to what you do, you can become rich.
If you go above and beyond by studying your markets, have a keen understanding of people, your likelihood of becoming rich is greater. Throughout the book, Trump states his beliefs, and relates to the reader through his experiences on how he has become successful. His insightfulness in "How to Get Rich," encourages you to build upon Trump's philosophies, of becoming rich.
The book is well written, fun to read, and you can read it pretty quickly. Trump explores his accomplishments in real estate, how he does it with perfection, despite the fact that not everything is perfect, shows you that you too can create richness over time.
He gives examples of others who have been successful, and makes a point that it takes diligence, in addition to a vision. He emphasizes networking with the people who are tops in their field. I highly recommend this book. Eric Leebow-Author of "You Are Here Traveling with JohnnyJet.com"

More Trump Hype here, "I've got the greatest stuff", "Everything with my name on it is the best," "I've got the number one (fill in the blank)" Don't forget, he's not exactly self-made. He was 'rich' to begin with.
However, I am still a fan, even though it may not sound like it. His advice is his advice, you may not agree, but I enjoy listening to him speak on business topics. If only he'd tone down the bragging so much, this would be a great book. Since his casino bankruptcies and financial woes, he is a shade more humble than before, but you'd need a microscope to see the difference.
I like it best when he gives out his basic principles of the business world instead of ragging on people or things. He has a platform on which to self-promote or educate and sometimes I wish he'd educate more. The book is, I think, better than the previous ones. This is a must-read if you're a die-hard trump fan.

Donald Trump is many things, but he's not much of an author, I'm afraid. Yes, I enjoyed reading this book. It was fun, had interesting anecdotes, and let me delve into the mind of America's top business celebrity... but only so far. There was nothing in the book that would actually qualify as business expertise. The Donald simply gives a lot of his own opinions, intermixed with personal stories. I was hoping for more, but not really surprised to get less.

Was the book fun to read? Yes. Was it easy and quick to read? Definitely. Did I learn how to get rich? Of course not.

I realised two things from this book. 1 - to become a New York Times bestseller you just have to give away thousands of copies, not necessarily sell them, and 2), if you brag often enough and loud enough, people might start to believe you.

Why do I think this? Well, I got my FREE copy of the book through registration at a conference where Trump is speaking (not why I'm going). That amounts to many thousands of copes alone, given away. And as for bragging, the perfect example is when he discusses critics - some are good, some are bad. To illustrate good, he quotes Simon Cowell of Americal Idol as a fair and honest critic? Why fair and honest? Because he said The Apprentice is fantastic and Trump is superb in it. Wow.

Finally, for all the bragging, I kept thinking that this summer, Trump Casino's filed for bankruptcy and Trump Hotels was temporarily suspended from trading on NYSE......

Why did i even read to the end? Good question....

the store, please make a rating of zero stars.

So why 3 stars? Because I like Donald. But this book is so fluffy, you should not expect any serious insight on wealth building. Donald opens by telling you not to consider the brevity of the content lightly, and thus miss the "profundity" contained in it. I must have missed it, because the advice on getting rich is such patently obvious jewels such as picking good associates and assistants, learn to present yourself well, promote yourself, etc. And very little nuts and bolts on that. Of course, the best way is to start like Donald did, with a family fortune of $200 million and key connections built in.
I don't know if someone who started his career rich and got richer can offer practical advice to the majority of us who are starting from scratch basically and want to get rich. Those are two very different concepts. Maybe a more appropriate title for this book would have been "How To Get Richer." You won't find what you need in this book to actually accomplish the title it has.

Trump has written many books and I think this is one of his more disappointing efforts. The book contains many great tips that can be gotten out of any run of the mill business book. It lacks the Trump style of straight talk and is really Donald showing his ego on most of the pages. Stick to Art of the Deal if you want to see classic Trump giving good original advice. If you are a fan of the Donald though you won't find this book to disappointing.

This was a great followup to "The Art of the Deal", read that one first and then move on to this one. I will tell you this much if you don't get all that this book has to offer you, you have one of two problems: You haven't read the book yet or you don't like The Donald to begin with because your a wealth hater and it dosen't matter if you read the book or not!
This is the Donald, same but different. He is telling you how he did it,Having Faith, why he does it,positive attitude, and why the perception that you can't have this success too is ridiculous! No, not 2.5 billion in real estate, but your personal success with your passion (I.E.: "the thing you
love the most is what you will be a success at!")
He tells about so many facets of business management, entrepreneurship, getting a great job and being successful in that job. When to stay and when to leave a job and many other things like investing, golf, when to ask for a raise, and yes he infuses his ego but he is the real deal and he has done what he says he has done. It's one thing to crack on the man because he came from wealth but giving the props , he built on that money and he does possess 2.5 billion reasons that if you are going to read success books this year, this had better be your flagship read. God Bless, Peace Donald

If you are a Trump fan, (which I was, until reading this book) you will be very disappointed with this book. The first half of the book gives some very common sense advice that can basically be summed up by; keep and open mind, stay positive, and be persistent in achieving your goals/dreams. The second half of the book was lousy. It was just name dropping and telling us whether or not he loves or hates the person.

All in all, this book lacked substance. The title is very misleading, as there is absolutely no advice on "How to Get Rich". I believe the title was used to try and sucker people in to sell more copies.

I think it is obvious Trump knows his stuff. The good news is he shares it with us the readers. This book is a great book for anyone who wants to get rich. A good supplement for this book would be the job hunting book, "How to find your dream job and make it a reality" by Jason McClure. Let's face it until you make it big, like Trump you will need a good paying job, and this book will help.
I do believe you owe it to yourself to invest in Trump's new book. I think it is great just like the rest of his books, and I have read them all.

If you are looking for a "Get Rich Quick" (GRQ) scheme, please don't waste your time with this book... In fact, stop looking, not one exists! If you find one, run away as fast as you can, and as far as you can.
The first 147 pages of this book are comprised of short chapters, each dealing with some of Donald Trump's beliefs. Most of the chapters hold some very interesting concepts, if you actually read, study, and understand the premises of what Donald is actually trying to convey. This is not a passive activity, the reader needs to ponder the chapters, to gleen the information. The chapters holds a wealth of information, which can be applied to any walk of life, be it an employee, to a self-employed to someone starting off in the business world. Yeah, some of it is common sense, but it is nice to have someone remind you sometimes.
Had it not been for the 43 pages of "filler" (discussing what Donald's average week consists of, and then the remaining 39 pages talking about "The Apprentice" TV show, and Donald's current holdings, I would have gladly given this 5-stars.)
A very good read, to help you understand some of the inner workings of Mr. Trump. Will be a good reference, on my bookshelf!

Even though the book's title says 'How to Get Rich' somehow leading the reader to believe it would be a step by step manual-I found this book amazingly interesting! I would have given 0 stars if given the opportunity. This book should not be titled "How To Get Rich", because the buyer may actually think that is what the book is about. Instead the book should be titled "How a Rich Man Feels About Himself" Trump's only advise is really common sense. He does not tell the reader how to get rich but more so how he (an already rich man) doesn't shake hands to avoid germs, drinks diet cokes, talks on the phone all day (making deals - which of course is not elaborated on)and reads newspapers and magazines. If you want to know a little bit about Trump's life, this book is for you. If you want to know how to get rich, find another book.

I love success stories, and I've read a lot of business books. As a fan of the Apprentice show, I was really hoping for a decent book. However, I was very disappointed with a book that appears to have been conceived, written, and published within the last 6 weeks.
The book is filled with empty quotes that make even the worst feel-good spam email seem deep. Halfway through the book, I realized that I hadn't learned a thing beyond "do your best" or "hire qualified people".
If you are a small business owners or an entrepreneur, spend the same money on "E-Myth" instead. If you want a book on The Donald, I liked "The Art of the Deal".

I read about the first 100 pages. Too much ego and self promotion. We need to stop feeding Trump's ego by not hanging on every word and watching everything he has anything to do with. I borrowed this book from my local library, because honestly I was entertained by Trump's earlier books. I was curious to see what pearls of wisdom the Donald had to impart to all his minions out there. I am glad I didn't have to spend a dime to buy this piece of rubbish which passes off as a "book". After skimming through a number of pages and chapters (many just a few pages long), I realise the man is really a loser, and so would the person who buys it.

The book was pretty plain and gave really no insight into what it is titled. The book should have been named more appropriately. A name like "Trump, everday life as a CEO" might have been better. Yes, he gave tips on how to get rich, but his tips are more like what he needs to be everyday in order to maintain his position as CEO and maintain his wealth.
This book was very easy reading and the concepts are something a 4 year old can grasp. I guess I should have read "Art of the Deal" (which to my understanding got much better reviews, than this book).

Well, like everyone else, I'm still wondering how to get rich. It's implied that if you buy property, develop it into the nicest bling-bling places to live, and sell, you'll be rich.

Also, yell at your contractors a lot. And hang around beautiful women. And develop some golf courses while you're at it.

I thought it was an entertaining, quick read, but not too much in depth nitty gritty.

As they say, give a man a fish he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, he'll eat a lifetime. That's exactly what The Donald is doing with any of his books, teaching and instructing. A millionaire once said that the way to become rich is to take a millionaire out to lunch and pick his brain. Take a millionaire out to lunch and pay for it. If the guy is rich he should pay for my lunch right? Wrong! If you have been to college, you paid for it. If you want the wisdom of the super wealthy, pay for it.
The other day I was at BAMM and took Donald Trump to lunch via his book and previewed while eating lunch at Joe Muggs cafe. Best lunch I ever had and I bought the book. Well worth it.
That millionaire was right. Take a millionaire to lunch and learn all you can. When it comes to wealth building I would much rather listen to someone like Trump then these parrots who keep reguritating the same stuff over and over in their overpriced books.
I only wish Donald would offer me a shot on The Apprentice. Great show and a great book Donald.

Trump is one of my guilty pleasures. He's so full of himself that it seems contagious.
The Art of the Deal is his best piece, by far. The trouble is, the man is almost a living cartoon character with his larger-than-life means, attitude, and hairdo. Because of his comic book-like nature, I find myself curious about the further exploits of the man I met in Art of the Deal.

I'd give it more stars, but this particular episode of Trump isn't quite worth a full 4. I would recommend his other one, The Art of the Comeback. Killer book with his killer attitude after near bankruptcy. Hope this helps...hehehe...

This book was short and to the point, much like the way Donald Trump conducts his business. There are many important little points of advice given throughout the book that make it worth your while to purchase and read. Sure, there probably could have been more elaborate chapters giving more in depth advice, but he's not that type of person. The book comes right out and gives you the advice he feels is most pertinent. For example, one of his chapters is entitled: "Bullshi* Only Gets You So Far". A lot can be learned from this book in my opinion.

There is no way that some one who is rich will give you his or her secrets as to how he or she made wealth. This is like Cliff Swain telling you how to defeat him in Racquetball. I couldn't wait to purchase this book and read it, especially when it said there are five billion reasons to read this book.
If you are expecting this book to show you all the secrets of making money, this book definitely misleads from its title. Now that I have just finished, I'm not sure how much it is related to "How to Get Rich". Basically, Donald gives advices on negotiation, hard-work, basic money sense and how to be your best (just like him). May be these are the essential attributes of becoming successful and rich. By applying his advice, you could see some self improvement or feel richer for life but not necessarily financially richer.
It's a very concise and almost comical. Each section is short and cleverly titled, like a marketing schemes, and you actually have fun reading it. However, I find the description on a typical week of his life repetitive and boring. The last chapter on The Apprentice is a waste. If you watch the show, there's no point in reading it. Donald lists a lot of names and shows a lot personality in the writing. He complemented many MANY people but also didn't hold back on his dislikes and enemies.
Overall, the book should be appropriately titled as "How to be like The Donald", an autobiography by Donald Trump. Paying $20 to get inside the head of a flaunting real estate mogul is probably worth it, at least the book is entertaining like his show.

This is the book we have all been waiting for. While there are plenty of books written by millionaires, unfortunately too many by paper tigers with no real world experience, a few by billionaires, how many are written by a billionaire with a hot tv show with the status of Donald Trump? The one and only!
Regarding critics, Mr. Trump addresses this in his book (for those of us who have actually read it. I doubt if any of the one stars reviewers have read it) Are they really worth worrying about? I doubt it. If they were successfulthey would be out doing some deals themselves not in front of a pc day and night bashing good books and highly successful people like Mr. Trump.
Great book Mr. Trump. I am looking forward to your next foray!

This book isn't a get rich quick guide by Donald Trump, it is something more valuable. I have always thought that a successful person thinks differently than the average Joe working a 9-5 job for somebody else. They do things much differently than the average person. Get off your lazy behinds and inherit millions from your daddy or ask his wealthy friends to bankroll a business for you, what's wrong with you people?
Page 2: Time to go pamper myself.
Don't hate me because I am so pretty, smart, rich and humble.
The End
This arrogant goofball was born on 3rd base and thinks he hit a triple, just like the village idiot in our White House.
These two guys are just so bewildered why everyone isn't rich, it was so easy for them, so they will have to learn the rest of us.
But most people know if Rump and Bush (dumb and dumber) had not been born into privilege, they would be lucky to have a job flipping burgers, or managing a worm store, so take your book and shove it and don't let the right wing zealots steal another election for the moron or he will get more people killed and bankrupt this country, like he did every other thing he was put in charge of.
And what's with Rump's hair, I would not be surprised if he spent more time having that do done, than he spent on this book.
Donald, W.
YOU'RE FIRED!

The book does not tell you how to get rich. It is just a promotional tool for Donald Trump. The writing is weak and the book seems like it was thrown together. A rushed job like this should not be in print!

Trump's book is another marketing vehicle for the Apprentice. It gives no advice on how to make money. The material is weak, however if you want to learn how to boast this book is it. I gave it three stars because is does talk about business management, but that's not the title of the book.

Poor, poor 1 star reviewers have nothing to do with their time but bash good books like this one by Donald Trump. These are the same people who post and repost endless helpful votes to those stupid anti-Bush books and would rather have you read some worthless financial b.s. by someone like Jane Bryant Quinn. What has she ever accomplished and who haas she ever helped to achieve wealth? Hello???
This book by Donald Trump shows you how to become rich. It that is your goal, I highly recommend it. On the other hand, if you prefer to spend all of time bashing good books, playing pc games with Grand Auto Theft and watch movies like Motel Hell and hawk books by disgruntled white house personel, then sorry I guess you will have to be satisfied with what you've got (I would rather have what Donald's got)
Good book for wealth builders. If you are happy with mediocre books, then go read Jane Bryant Quinns book.

If you look into Trump thru his books youll notice that he is by far the greatest business person that ever lived. This book is similar to his next book 'think like a billionaire' and describes in 2to 3 pages each topic in a mini chapter such as 'have an ego' or 'invest simply'. This book wont tell you to invest in high yield real estate or what not but its lessons are much more valuable and they are true life lessons. Trumps apparent eccentric ego is often understood but being in the business world myself his mindset is crucial. 5 stars all the way!

What a goof !!!!!!!!! I can't believe someone could come up with this kinda crap. This book won't tell you how to get rich.....but it will definetely provide you with a lot of information about how to become a bragger.

I went into this book not hoping for a whole lot, what I got was some very good business tips, and an inside look at the world of "the Donald". I was very surprised at the number of business "nuggets" I found in the book. I thought it was well written and exhibited the classic Donald Trump style. I preferred this book much more than the Art of the Deal.

This book sucks! All he does is brag. Who cares about how nice a guy REGIS IS!!!! 2/3 bragging rights. 1/3 content~!!! What the hell are we paying for! BRAG BRAG, pages of buildings and ex- wifes!! who someone else is on top of now!!!!
DON'T BUY THIS BOOK IT SUCKS!!!!! NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

I purchased this book for the sole purpose of making me rich. After reading the book I immediately went to my wallet to observe the progress, however there were no changes in the contents. I assumed that I had read the book incorrectly, so I tried again.
Upon inspecting my wallet a second time, I did find an old lottery ticket, but I must assume that was in there all along. I knew that this book would make me rich. I called my boss and told that dick what I really thought of him. I mean really, why do I have to do all the work while he fills out the jumble in the paper. I guess what he didn't know was that I did the crossword and passed it on to those below me. But those days are over, or so it seemed.
The ticket was a loser. Not one number. My wife has since left me taking the kids, except the retarded one. No I have no job, a crappy empty apartment and a retarded kid. This book has failed to live up to expectations, as well as it's name. I feel cheated and dirty. (...)

You know...this book is ok. What I do like about it is that the chapters are short and to the point. I don't think I learned "How to Get Rich", but it is always entertaining if you are curious to learn more about The Donald. I didn't like his recent comment that he made on TV regarding his bankrupt casino empire...I think his words were "sometimes you have to shed debt". I am glad I am not one of his casino lenders.

As the webmaster and creator of the ultimate Miss Universe pageant fan ([...] I read the book because I wanted to more about Trump as the owner of Miss Universe. Trump speaks much about perfection, however, the book is hardly perfect. Imagine my horror when I saw a photo of Trump, along with the judges for the 1999 Miss Universe pageant and the winner herself, Mpule Kwelagobe of Botswana. However, when you read the caption underneath the photo, it says that the winner's name is "Wendy Fitzwilliam" who happens to be Mpule's predecessor! When the Donald finds out about this major boo-boo, I can't wait for him to tell his researcher: "You're fired!" Then the Donald calls me up to say: "Rafael, you're hired!" Hee-hee!

No doubt the 1 star reviewers are those who lose their shirts gambling at Trump's Casino's and are now angry at the man. Poor fools haven't figured out yet there is a science to gambling BUT in most cases Casino's are like banks; you make money by owning a Casino not by throwing your money away with the 1 arm bandits, at the tables etc.

And even owning Casino's is risky. Why do you think that Casino's represent only 1% of Trumps net worth?

Trumps book is perhaps the best success book out there right now. How To Get Rich let's you look inside the mind of a billionaire.

If you are serious about becoming rich, then read Trumps new book and I also highly recommend The Apprentice tv show as well.

One word for this publication of total crap is garbage. Some of the stuff included here are things like don't shake hands because you may get germs. Dont buy cheap suits because they wear out faster, and dont go to an interview in New York city dressed like a cowboy... Complete and utter dreck...

Donald Trump writes in this book the attributes of what is like to be a successful entrepreneur. The main ingredient Donald uses to become rich has everything to do with using a brain successfully. Read the book and at least be aware of the many attributes it takes to truly be a success in business.

I must say that I enjoyed reading his book. Will I get rich? No.
A lot of what he sez is simply common sense. I read it as a biography, more than a self help book. I like to hear "The Donald" talk about himself, as well as, his employees, friends, family, etc. If you go in thinking this way, you will enjoy it also.

It was a great book. A really quick read. Not so much on how to get rich per say, just how he got rich and everything he did. The inside the Apprentice part was great. Everything except for a few errors gramatically was wonderfull.
A must read!!!!

So let me get this straight. Donald Trump, who himself has gotten into deep financial trouble but is able to host his fraudulent tv show "The Apprentice" only because he was bailed out and because the media moguls love his libertarian leanings, wants to preach about how to get rich ? If you want to be another fraudster like Trump, then go ahead and read this book and see if you can be as lucky to somehow slip through some crack or two.

If your looking for advice, this is not the place to get it. This book is a rambling collection of brag after brag after brag. You would think that someone with so much financial success would have a bit more going on upstairs and actually have some useful advice.

What is the secret to Trump's success? Rich daddy and narcissistic personality disorder.

I am ashamed at giving more money to Donald. He is like a neglected child looking for attention with all his name dropping and pointing at all his toys... oh look at my private jet... oh here's a picture of me.... you can see all my stuff from my personal helicopter. Just plain crap. Ive burnt my copy.. have you?

This book seems to be more about how to get rich by working for Donald Trump, not oneself. That is the same thing as his show "The Apprentice" so you really don't need this book if you believe you can concoct a way to win the lottory or some other ridiculous get rich quick technique.

This is a really good read, diffidently not a waste of time. I would recommed it to my family and friends. I would also like to recommed Scot Anderson's book "Think Like a Billionaire Become a Billionaire." it has truly changed my thinking and has taken off the limitations that we put on ourselves.

There is nothing in here that will help you get rich. You will hear lots of stories about how great his hotels and golf courses are, according to him. You will hear gossip (its titled that!) and a section devoted to his hair! Don't waste your time or money, this book is an insult! Trump, you're fired! and get rid of that hair!

Has "the Donald" gone mad?

Who the hell titled this book? This is not about anything remotely connected with how to get rich. This is about a spoiled NY rich kid has learned his daddy's business and who he knows... and screws.

Big deal.

Tell me something I don't know, Donald.

Sheesh... what a total waste of time.

This book was titled how to get rich, yet, there was not one word mentioned about getting rich. The short chapters were worthless information, wisdom and advice that is common sense. The longest chapter A week in the life is nothing more then name dropping of the famous people that he associates with. I admire his accomplishment but Mr. Trump is relentless in self promotion and massaging his already over sized ego.

If you have 10 million dollars and you are losing 100 thousand dollars a day, then this book might be helpful. If you are not a millionaire, then this book is not for you. I can give you better advice on how to get rich than Trump. I understand he knows more than i do, however, he does not share a damn thing with you in his book.

The Art of the Deal is still my favorite Trump book but this one was good as well. It had good advice about making it in the corporate world but didn't focus a lot about building his business. From an entrepreneural point of view, I preferred Stop Working by Rohan Hall. How to Get Rich is filled however with lots of essentials that everyone would find valuable.

Yes, of course this book is better than all the other books out there, because DONALD MAKES MORE MONEY! Donald Trump is obviously a better writer than Shakespeare and God put together! (They obviously needed better agents) Just like Jay Leno is a better artist than Van Gogh and Michaelangelo, because money is always the ultimate indicator of quality! And needless to say, Donald is a better person than a million 9-11 firefighters any day! Get a clue, morons!

this is a quote from page 106:

"I have come to hate doctors. I think that , generally, they are a bunch of money-grubbing dogs. I can tell you about countless instances when doctors have ruined people's lives. As an example, a person I am very fond of had a foot injury that I believe should have healed naturally, but instead, the doctor operated on it, fitting pins and plates into the foot. Now, after over a year of convalescense, this person is having a hard time walking. I think that suing a doctor like this would qualify as a worthwhile legal expense. (recently, the patient saw this doctor walking on the very expensive and chich Worth Avenue in Palm Beach and spendig lots of money.) This is one of man bad doctors I know of- there are too many others to name. I just can't stand the bastards."

I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THIS PERSON. THE BOOK OFFERS SUPERFICIAL ADVICE FROM A SUPERFICIAL PERSON.

THESE "money-grubbing dogs" PRACTICE MEDICINE DEFENSIVELY BECAUSE OF LAW SUITS. THEY HAVE TOO MUCH TO LOSE BY NOT ADHERING TO STANDARDS. AT THE SAME TIME, MR. TRUMP IS CAREFUL NOT TO SLANDER THE LAWYERS- WHO HAVE SAVED HIM FROM BANKRUPTCY (at who's expense?ours!)

THIS GUY WHO WANTED TO BE PRESIDENT HAS NO THOUGHT PROCESS. ONE DAY WHEN HE OR A FAMILY MEMBER IS RUSHED TO A HOSPITAL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, ONE OF THESE "money-grubbing dogs" MAY BE REMOVING HIS SON'S APPENDIX, DELIVERING HIS DAUGHTER'S DYING NEWBORN, OR SAVING HIM FROM HIS HEART ATTACK (I hope they haven't read this gladrag).

As a ethical, hard-working person, please don't waste your time with this book.

It absolutely amazes me how people who aren't even close to being at the level of achievement as Mr. Donald Trump are able to give such a poor rating and opinion of his words.
FIVE BILLION DOLLARS is what he is worth? Let's calculate that out per month. $5,000,000,000 divided by 12 months =
A MERE $416,666,666.66 PER MONTH!!
Anyone reading this review make close to that per month? If you do I'll read your words and do my best to glean some helpful hints to improve my financial empire!! Come on people, get a clue!! If you get one shred of help from reading the words of a MULTI-BILLIONAIRE IS IT WORTH THE MEASLEY FEW BUCKS YOU PAY FOR IT!! Yes it is!! The book is worth 100 times more than what I paid because this is coming from a man who not only made it to the ultimate top but hasn't slowed down yet!! We get to see an inside glimpse of the mind of a billionaire!! So go ahead and don't buy the book if you are broke, and lack the intelligence to open your mind and maybe learn something. And please let someone else benefit from his knowledge and vast experiences of how he has made a ton of money!! He has taken the time to share this book with the rest of the world. If you are smart you will take the time out of your life to read it.

first how to get rich, by working hard no question about that. i liked the first couple of pages. it talks about passion, ambition and focus, key ingredients to succeed. the rest is trash. if u take away the pictures the douple spacing and the empty space it is less than 60 pages. i dont know waht else to say i can write a better book.

I really tried to find a reason to keep this book. I like to read mental candy as much as anyone.. kind of clears the palate and relaxes the mind, but this is poor even in the Mental Candy category.
It should be titled.. "How I shamefully made a few bucks."
I loved the chapter on How to Invest Wisely. 1 page that said, essentially, .. "be vewy, vewy careful."
Trumps name is associated with quality enterprises and beautiful buildings. Now he can add a worthless book to his very hard-won list of worthy accomplishments.

Too bad one can't give this book no stars because it's pure garbage. I'm glad I only paid .99 cents for it at a used books store, but definitely it's the worst .99 cents I have ever spent in my entire life.

If you are one of the many Trump followers out there you'll find it interesting, insightful and even philosophical, if you're not do yourself a favor and don't waste you hard earned money on worthless piece of trash.
