Another well written, patient series by one of my favorite authors. This book helped me get over the nagging desire to be able to go back in time. If you like this kind of thing, try King's version of the JFK assassination "11/22/63"

The beginning and end of this book are ok. Catching up with our band of time shifters and saving the planet is classic OSC. The middle of this book is drawn out so much it should be called, "OSC wants to prove how smart he is with the Children's Time Travel Debating Society". Chapters and chapters of ridiculous debate while the true action is summarized in short paragraphs. The talking mice really put this series over the top but having Rigg repeat everything that the mice say means OSC was paid by the word to write this book.

Time travel books are hard to write. The ending of this series is great entertainment! I wonder what happened to all those Rigg's at the end. I haven't read a prefect time travel story, these books were great!

I enjoyed books 1and2 more . I feel like book three has too much indesision. In it They are always questioning what will happen if. Or should it be something different. Other than that it is very interesting

This follows the story line from the other two books well and develops the characters into a strong group. Finding out what happened with the destroyers was unexpected but the solution was brilliant. This book fills in the holes. Great read :)

If you've read the first two installments in this trilogy, (both very good), you're obligated to pick up "Visitors" to see how Mr. Card wraps up the saga of Rigg. After powering through this last (please) of the Pathfinder tale, I couldn't have been more confused during several parts of the book. There are so many twists and turns and attempts to convey the paradoxes as they wind and unwind, it's a hopeless task to keep the reader in step with the storyline. After trying several times to follow the story's explanation of the causal effects of time travel, I finally came to the conclusion that a casual read shouldn't cause a headache and just took the premise at face value in the hopes that all would be made clear as the story unfolded. Unfortunately the task was more than even the formidable Mr. Card could overcome and the story resolved with a resoundingly disappointing finish. A raving fan of most OSC fiction, but not this one.

The book was a nice (almost predictable) wrap up to the series. I like Card's story telling so I'm not disappointed but, it may seem a bit overpriced to those folks new to his work. Also, to really enjoy the book you may need to skim over all the speculative descriptions of time shifting, the paradoxes it can seemingly cause, and the results. Time shifting by a human being was a neat idea, an enjoyable plot device and the characters (teenage kids) in the adventure were well crafted (not unusual for Mr. Card) That said, I think the last book is okay, I enjoyed it overall.

I'm not going to spoil the plot for you, the reader, rather, just don't expect a lot. Just read and enjoy a master story teller at work.

Another great from Card. Even though it had been quite some time since I had read the previous book the way Mr. Card opened this book brought me right up to speed without a tedious recap. My only "criticism" is actually not specifically about the book or its characters but about the adult attributes and characteristics given to the young characters themselves. They possess a wealth of wisdom, perception and knowledge that is hard to come by in adults. Their insights and solutions, often arrived at in seconds, were brilliant if not unrealistic. Still, this was a great read and a satisfying conclusion to a great series.

A perfectly satisfying finish to the Pathfinder series, with as much confusing time mechanics, hard logic, and devious mice as you can handle! I am a big fan of Card, and if you are too and you've kept up with the series, then you'll love the finish.

PS: If you are reading all the books in the series in a row, you can skip the first chapter. It's a super flat recap of the previous book that I skimmed through, because it was boring.
