Comic is black and white and it wasn’t advertised as such.
I bought this for my 6 year old and I was reading it to him and it has words I wouldn’t want him to use on other kids in it such as “you’re stupid, you’re dumb, and other bully type of words. I think it should have been written with 5-6 year olds in mind.
My son lives it because I’m skipping the bad words or use other words instead.

After reading all the Captain Underpants series, this was a good little extra read. My 6 year old loves pretty much every book, and this was no exception. The chapters were a little longer than some of the other books, which can be both good and bad, especially if you're wanting to just read a chapter a night. Overall, I can not really say anything bad about it. It was a fun read, and my daughter loved it.

But when I read a few pages, I was dismayed to find intentional misspellings on nearly every page. The author apparently felt to approximate caveman spelling, he would switch phonetically similar sounding letters (like "s" and "c"), so you get evidense, theries, importent, forchenately, exampel, epalog, welcum, waterfal, villege, etc. For those of us who can distinguish between correct and incorrect spellings, it's funny. For a kid learning to read and spell, this is dreadful to be exposed to misspellings. Considering this book was intended for the ages where kids are learning to spell, I feel this direction was a bad decision by the author and isn't crucial to the entertainment value of the story for the intended audience (elementary school readers).
I deleted the book from my son's Kindle.
