Light, fun quick read. Exactly what it promised to be. This book doesn't take itself too seriously. It's a fun look at the evolution of magazines at technology in an unapologetic fluffy read. Devoured it in an afternoon. Recommend.

Strong writing and story was well-paced. Characters were well-developed and interesting, even Eve who is one of the most cringe-worthy modern characters I've read in a while.
The premise of the book reeled me in; it's very current and has more substance than a lot of stories set in the fashion world.
That being said, some of the office dynamics didn't quite work for me. For an Editor in Chief who would have to hold her own against strong personalities and be ahead of the trends, I thought Imogen was too passive and out of touch. Yes, she was recovering from sick leave, but an EIC would still be keeping tabs on the office if she planned to return. And she would have to be up to speed on social media and apps; they've been around for years. So that gave the story less to stand on for me.
Overall, the writing style, story progression, and subject matter kept me reading. Some of the office happenings were far-fetched, but a lot of unbelievable, absurd things happen at work; this story definitely tapped into that.

Loved this book! So interesting to read about the fashion industry. But more so to hear about how technology has taken over the world and how you have to adapt to survive. Imogen is such a relatable character who you root for and love seeing her come out on top!

Scared me into downloading Snapchat, Meerkat and Periscope so that I never fall victim to a Tech Bitch...But loved it so much I hardly put it down for two days until I finished it. If you remotely liked "Devil Wears Prada," you'll love this.

What a fun book especially for a 40 something who is trying to navigate her way through the world of #'s. Imogen, the main character is someone you definitely want to root for. It is a fun and fast read that I was sad had to come to an end.

This book kept me captivated from beginning to end. Would've loved a bit more depth for some parts or the storyline - like Imogen having more little victories over Eve. And a more tragic downfall for Eve. But I guess it works!

Great book! Very funny! Reminds me of my office but not to that extreme. I work in a tech company and always feel like I'm catching up. I'm in love with the main character, what a strong woman! I also don't read books very quickly, but this one was a page turner :-)

I thoroughly enjoyed every page of this book. The Knockoff addresses real womens issues while being laugh out loud funny. Sykes and Piazza really know their stuff...tech, fashion and being a woman. I finished it over a weekend. I just wish there was a Knockoff sequel I could start reading.

Loved this book. Liked how the world of the internet clashes with the old way of doing business. Shows advantages of both worlds. Shows that we need to demonstrate compassion and keep our humanity as we go forward exploring the vast reaches of the internet.

Super entertaining summer beach read. A bit farfetched that a smart executive could be so technologically clueless after just Six months, but she stays in character throughout. This is fluff with an edge and just what I was looking for to wile away the summer.

First half of the book is very interesting and cool. However the longer you read you find some holes in the characters such as;
Imogen - you don't become Chief Editor by being as naïve as described. She must have some other managerial values than being nice to people and having a good reputation in the market. You don't see it at all...
Eve - there must be a reason why she has been chosen to be as powerful in the company and it can't be just her ideas. There are bitchy bosses but her's is just too much of an exaggeration which you find in more funnier books. This book doesn't claim to be funny anyway..
It is a fun read however second part became a bit loose and you expect stronger characters, especially from Imogen.
