The big negative is it's repetitive.

But the basic story is a good one - I can vouch for that as I've started several businesses on a shoestring myself. Obviously I have not had Daymonds success but I am worth more than 2 million. Daymond is reported to be worth about $100 million.

He is 100% correct that throwing more money at most problems often does not solve the problem or improve your business as much as doing things on cheap (but that doesn't mean not using your skills/training to improve/grow your business). Not having money means you have to be more creative and 'hungry'.

But other than that point (and I readily admit it's really good point) there isn't much.

BTW Watch Shark Tank - you will see that the drive to succeed is still strong in the USA!!!!

So I would rate this slightly disappointing but still worth the read - I would recommend you get this at your local library - I would rate this a 7.75 to 8.25 out of 10.

This book was great!. Very informative and inspiring. I would recommend this read for anyone starting a business and need a little motivation to keep going. I can do all things, through him who gives me strength- believe it!

Great book from start to finish, I would recommend this book to any entrepreneur seeking for motivation, the SHARK vision mentioned in this book it’s simple and effective, looking forward to applying it on a daily basis.

Love this book, not because I'm from Hollis, Queens, but because of Mr. John's passion. His brassy heart comes through. Daymond reminded me that success is within my reach. The fact that I fail so many times, list me among the great.

The examples were great to help solidify the shark points mentioned. I enjoyed the candor Daymond exhibited about his journey & the struggles he faced, which all entrepreneurs will eventually face.

The stories shared in this book give real life examples of how people started out to how they became successful using the principles found in the book. A fantastic book if you are looking for some motivation in a struggling career or life.

I first heard about this book in an exclusive interview on Good Morning America. Listening to Daymond discuss the book made me search for it on the store. After reading only three reviews, I hesitantly bought the book. I'm only a quarter of the way through and I can tell you, this book is so good, I can not put it down. Daymond knows how to pull an audience on this topics of creatively and emotionally investing your time into something extraordinary. If you dream big and want to achieve your goals you've always wanted to do, I strongly recommend buying this book. This may honestly, (change your life)!

Power of Broke was an inspiring book. It was written in layman's words, so it was easy to understand each power point. As Daymond John shared each entrepreneur's story, he would relate it back to his personal stories. This made this educational book a page turner. Also I would recommend Power of Broke to everyone, regardless of your income level, age or stage in life.

Raymond shares his compelling story and really good tips on goal setting strategies, and many other angles in business. All ages will learn and benefit from this reading and taking in his experience.

I loved this book and everything it represented. I too am on a journey trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can, to be the best version of myself as I can be, and this book really helps you achieve that mindset. I highly recommend this book to anyone trying to take large strides into becoming successful.

Mr. John gives practical information that will help any individual move forward in his or her aspirations. It is truly a must read for an entrepreneur !!! I plan to purchase several copies for friends and family.
