Warning: This book is funny in places. BUT the humor is a bit overshadowed by the very very frequent use of the word F*ck. She also tends to take a lot of political and anti-religious stances. There is some really great material it is just to bad that it wasnt pulled together better. If you are thinking about buying this book go read parts of it at Borders or buy it used. Save your money.

I bought this book after reading the comments on it just to see what it was like and I was pleasantly surprised how great it was!! My fiance and I sat each night and read it together then I let a bunch of coworkers borrow it who also loved it!
I highly recommend it!! Very funny, very witty.....

If you need something to boost your self esteem or give you a sense of entitlement this is the book for you!
It's written like your best friends is talking to you. Some sections are take it or leave it section but I think most women readers would enjoy it.

This book is the funniest thing I have ever read! I have recommended it to all of my friends! This is my new bible. It takes life at a new angle and gives great tips on how to deal with jobs, annoying family members, and men. I reall truely think that this Goddess is a genius!

No joke, this woman makes such perfect sense you have to slap your head and say "Why didn't anyone tell me this sooner? The author gives tips on everything from how to respond to a sexist remark to how to ask for a raise. It's about time.

I was so looking forward to reading this book, and I hate the fact that I could not even finish it. What a let down. There are some bits that are funny. My favorites were the quotes from her grandmother. But as the pages turn she seems to be saying the same thing over and over and over again. She almost sounds bitter and that is really no fun. And she makes a lot of lists. This is suppose to be a witty, girl power book not a how-to book.

Yuck - Gilman obviously is very opinionated, which is good. But it seems like hers is the only opinion that matters, which is bad. Instead of elegantly making her point, she resorts to name-calling and cursing. By the end of the book, you want to do the opposite of everything she says, just to make her angrier than she already obviously is. Save your money.

While Kiss My Tiara is most definently the empowering manifesto it tries to be for some women, others will be vastly disappointed and instantly stricken my the lack of class the "Smartmouth Goddesses" posess. As a southern, upper class, Republican girl, I had a lot of trouble foregoing the social graces I have had instilled in me from the womb. So girls like me, steer clear of this book. The rest of you, have fun with it!

After reading "THe Sweet Potato Queens" trilogy I was thirsty for some more of Jill Conner Browne's quick wit and hilarious stories. the store recommended "Kiss My Tiara" based on my past purchases. I was SORELY disappointed. This book is offensive to say the least. The author is obviously an angry liberal who needed an outlet and wrote a book because nobody wanted to listen to her garbage. This is nothing compared to the sweet potato queen's empowering female stories. Sadly, I tried my best to finish this book but was unable to and had to do the worst thing possible for a book lover, I had to throw it away. I was just too afraid that if I let it live someone else might read it or worse yet, may think I actually agree with it just by mere fact that I own it. I can't say enough about this depressing, angry tirade of a book!
