The Family Book

Purchased this item for a two mommy baby shower and the parents and family loved it! Whats' great about this item is that it complements the mommy and daddy book options. I will be purchasing these for every future baby shower.

Colorful illustrations will hold kiddo's attention while the message of tolerance and acceptance is communicated. Todd Parr books are wonderful ways to introduce values to kids. This particular book emphasizes family structure and positive regard. Great messages!

I bought this book when I worked as a therapeutic preschool teacher. I loved this book because the illustrations are intriguing for kids, but also because the message is about love AND diversity among families. It's very inclusive. Great message.

I purchased this book to help explain to my Granddaughter, who me & my Partner have custody and has been living with us since she was 2 months old and will be three this summer, how there are many different types of families. This is an excellent book and she loves to read it!

As a single parent with an adopted child of another race, it is great to have a book that helps my daughter see our family as normal. This has been a great book for us at various ages, and has been a gift to many of her classrooms. Great work Todd Parr!

What a wonderful book to help children understand that not everyone's home is the same. Some have mommy and daddy while others may only have mom or dad. Some may have different colors in one home and some may have grandparents that live in. My grandson who is 5 has learned to read this book by himself. Thank you for helping him understand.

Excellent way to start your child understanding from the very beginning of their comprehension that families come in all different sizes, shapes, colors! Hopefully kids treated to books like these will be more accepting of all kinds of people. Lovely!

This is an outstanding book that shows the complexity and beauty of all kinds of families. Our seven year old grandson has read it many times and it helps to explain his complicated family situation. It is a wonderful book that every young person should read.

"the family book" is perfect for all kids but especially those who are a part of any type of "non-traditional" family! todd parr's message of love and acceptance is the exact message all children (and adults!) need.

I really like the idea of this book, however there is very little text to it. Of course you can use it to talk about the topic more with your child. I will look for something with more story to it for my five year old. I think for a three year old this book would be nice. The design is a question of taste. I do not like the bold colors so much, but I knew that before I ordered it.
