Well-written, enjoyable story. The characters were well defined, the pace smooth, and the story good. I look forward to reading more of her books. One caveat: I wish she'd learn the proper use of quotation marks.

Sara and Adam made this book worth reading. This book is about child abuse and what it did to Adam. It is about much more Sara and four little girls played a lovely part in it. I really enjoyed this book read it.

Annette Blair writes well with an understanding of what it would have been like for an independent woman living in Amish society. The prejudices shown, particularly by the men, would have undone me if I lived in this society.

Very well written even though there were times when she needed to wake up and take herself out of self pity she put on herself I would have given it five stars. I have read several Amish books and this is one of the interesting ones.

I am obsessed with Amish romance novels and have read over 150 of them already. This book has to be my favorite. Not only are the characters very humanly and well developed, the sensual aspect of their love and attraction is portrayed in a way other novelists of Amish romance tend to ignore. I would recommend this book highly!

This book started out with a very interesting story. Then in started to insinuate some nasty thoughts which as a Christian I don't care to read. Too bad! The author could have left that out and had a good book. The part where she gives her patient a bath is what I'm referring to.
