The Curse of Madame C (A Far Side Collection)

My doctor son requested this wonderful diversion on his wish list. He has the four previous Galleries and it is a great read on the little spurts of down time in his full schedule. It was in good condition and very much appreciated.

THis is still the best weekly planner I have found. On the right hand page is a week divided into days with enough space to write in notes and on the left hand a cartoon. If you need more organization than that you should get a PDA and if you take an editorial view on the cartoons, why would you buy it in the first place? For $15 bucks it is a great way to lighten up your day and the day of the guy sitting next to you at a meeting table.

I read The Far Side cartoon in the newspaper years ago and loved the series. I got the whole set of books for my 12 year old son who gained an appreciation after I gave him a Far Side birthday card. We read from them every day, they still crack me up. Wish Gary was still making current cartoons today. Still hilarious after all these years.

Far Side never disappoints. I've seen all these cartoons before, when they first came out, but like old friends,you never tire of them. Gary Larson, get busy! It's time for the cow's grandchildren to descend on the pasture.

I love the Larson desk calendar. I especially like the one week at a time layout, the size of the day spaces, and the images of the previous and future months on each week's page at a glance. It is the only one that works for me. I seek out this particular calendar year after year. No one else has the perfect planning spaces for the weeks's obligations, appointments, and memos, as well as a great joke, all at the same time.

The Far Side was always one of my favorite cartoons! I bought all three volumes and it was worth it! Great stuff! I just wish Larson would come out of retirement for a while! It's a pity I can't give it more than five stars!

My family gets together and eventually someone grabs one of the Far Side books reading aloud several of the jokes/comments and the pictures are great. I have five of these books and think they are very entertaining.

Gary Larson never disappoints. His sense of humor is absolutely wicked, and his rough-hewn artwork somehow reinforces his jokes much better than a more polished presentation. If only Gary Larson were president and Dave Barry vice president! Our national economy might not be any better, but our collective mood certainly would be!

I Love this calendar. the comics keep you laughing and the layout is good too. Each month starts with a page for the whole month at a glance opposite which is a fully lined page for notes..then each weekly page is broken down into 7 days. With more note space at the bottom. The back of the calendar has pages with sections for monthly notes for 2009, and then 3 pages each with a year at a glance for 2007, 2008, 2009. really nice.....If you need lots of space in a desk calendar but hate the boring usual stuff, this one is for you....

This purchase is a replacement of an older copy that lived a good life being read and passed to family members, going on camping trips, overnights, etc. It's truly a classic - to be put away for a couple of years, then rediscovered all over again.

This collection brings back a lot of memories, eagerly waiting for the next Far Side cartoon in the paper. I haven't seen these for years, and they are still just as entertaining. This book is a nice way to introduce The Far Side to my kids. We all really enjoy this book, and will probably buy the other Galleries too.

Come on Gary! Make the best calander in the world and then quit on us. Its like taking the lollypop out of the babies mouth.
My first wife left me when I was in Vietnam. That was OK because she had little to offer. But this is worse.
Charge double and you would get it.They say, "when youve got it, youve got it." And the far side calanders have it.

Got this for our daughter....she loves the Far Side, and she thoroughly enjoyed this fun book. It worked great to lighten her load while in college. To add some humor and fun in times when the stress was a little overwhelming.

My daughter suffers from Bipolar Depression. She's been very down lately. However this is one time when she will laugh a lot. Cheers her up, when nothing else does. She loves The Far Side. The price on these books was phenomonal! Super cheap.

Okay, so I don't actually remember purchasing this, which means it was probably a gift. But, it's The Far Side, so I'm sure it was filled with rib-hurting laugh inducing humor. How could you go wrong?

I grew up reading Gary Larson cartoons. My dad had all of the Far Side galleries. I missed reading them like I did as a teenager. So I started from the bottom and am now building my own gallery collection. His comics are so witty and clever- you have to be smart to get them! ;) I can't wait to have my children read them and laugh.

Gary Larson has a wonderfully twisted sense of humor that he brings to his comics. Have loved his work for years. Bought this book specifically to introduce some of the younger generation to this great work.

Pages are in excellent condition (new) and the content is outstanding, as expected! Delivered earlier than expected. Will make wonderful coffee table gifts. First enjoyed his work reading the local paper, and grew interested in his repertoire.

Im a collector who is replacing my beyond well worn Gary Larson books. My grand kids are getting old enough to want to read these now. So I sit with them and explain why they are each funny until they start to " get it,"
