Loved this book, will be purchasing the rest of the series,, stand alone book, which I was pleased with. I dislike when I buy a book and I have to buy book 2 to find out what happened. But, as I said, I liked it enough to buy the rest of the series.

The book kept me interested. There was no big clues as to the big boss until the end . Lots of adventure and increasing interesting characters. I did not like the abuse of the young boy but it was the fact of peaking my interest I detested one scene of the cruelty of a young girl both physically and sexual abused. You kept us the audience capture with the adventure , tactics and involvement of family as you came to an extremely happy ending.

I enjoy a good suspense or murder mystery or detective story. This was all 3 in one. While, I think they called it a romantic thriller - or something like that - I found it to be suspenseful with a good story line and some interesting mystery. I highly recommend it! Please also know that I got this for free from the kindle best seller list, so that made the book even more enjoyable!

This is a really good book. Full of everything- thrills, suspense ,great car rides, kidnapping , murder, love and romance. It proves again that you don't have to be a biological parent to be a great parent. Jake and Sami are a great couple. He a loner, finding happiness with some in his life, rather than being alone, and Sami finding happiness after the death of her daughter, and the boy finding a home with both of them. Really a good read.

Hunky hero, spunky heroine, adorable kid. Sweet, suspenseful story. Hero is sensitive, protective, and determined. Heroine is tough, courageous, insightful, and has been hiding behind deep emotional scars for several years. They both come together to protect an abused child and offer him the family he so desperately needs.

Liked the story. Cute romance with some suspense. Nothing to write home about but I enjoyed it. I don't recall a lot of profanity. There was some sex in it but it wasn't really bad. Need to start doing reviews as soon as I finish books so I can be more exact. When there is a lot of profanity or blasphemy in a book, I usually do a review right away so I can warn others like me who read reviews looking for that information.

Wow this story hits the ground running. Sami, Jake and Nicholi keep you turning the page to see what happens next. Sami brothers are over protective loving brothers I can hardly wait to read their stories. Well written

A real action packed, sweet romance featuring a lone wolf undercover agent protecting a child witness and borderline suicidal nurse suffering from the loss of her daughter the agent kidnaps to tend to the wounds received while escaping the mob. Worth reading.

I was pretty impressed with this novel. The characters were strong, the plot was well-paced, the action/suspense was first rate, and the romance was sweet and perfect. I'm a sucker for this type of plot--gentle woman in a gruff man's care--and this definitely delivered. If Suzanne Ferrell's other books are as entertaining and tender as this one, I'll definitely be reading more of them! Highly recommended.

I really love Suzanne Ferrell's work - especially her suspense novels. She builds a really intense, plausible scenario for her hero and heroine, then sees them through it when all seems lost. She has a good pace - I'm always turning the pages! - and there's enough humor and connection to always keep me reading. Really good read, highly recommended!

This was a fast paced and intriguing novel. I liked this author and would definitely download any of her novels. The interaction with the hero and the boy he was trying to save and the nurse who was kidnapped and trying to help them made for a great story. This author knows how to write a suspenseful novel with great characters. There was definitely room to expand with other novels in this series.

A bit like a Stockholm syndrome gone wrong, I found myself enjoying this book more than I expected. I also ended up buying more of this author as her style draws me in other characters. I also appreciate the author's research into specialized areas (scenes are realistically detailed without overplay).

A really good romantic suspense story. On the run from the Russian mob an undercover FBI agent and a young Russian boy wait in the Hospitals parking lot for some hospital professional. The agent does not care if it is a doctor or nurse, just someone that will know how to help the young boy.

This is an example of a great romantic suspense. You Jake the undercover agent on the run with a child witness and Sami, a nurse who has lost the will to live. They are on the run from the Russian mob and finding love at the same time. It was a great mystery, great plot and really good romance.

I was so engaged by the characters in jeopardy---Jake, Sami and Nicholas--that I took the afternoon off and read the book. Didn't think I'd be interested in a Russian mobster story, but the characters and the fast-paced action kept me reading and the mystery really worked for me. Even the mobsters felt authentic! As soon as I finished the book, I bought another Edgars Family book.

While some of the premises are crazy unbelievable, something draws you in and makes you want things to work out. Unreal circumstances arise, but it didn't keep me from reading on. If you can suspend disbelief for a while, you'll enjoy the interaction between the main characters.

There were a couple of grammatical errors in this novel, but for the first time ever, that did not distract me from the plot. I liked all the characters, the story was fun, and I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I highly recommend the book to suspense lovers.

Never heard of this Author before but on my reading group someone posted it as free from the store. Sometimes free books aren't all that great, but then you find a rare Gem. This was a rare Gem. This book was great. So great I'm ready to one click the rest of the series. From chapter 1 this book had me..

This book was awesome from the start. I could not put the book down and couldn't wait to see how it all ended. The characters are well developed and I loved how I became some involved in their characters! A great book and it was even better because it was free!

This story started fast and continued that way for the whole book. I loved the way secondary characters were brought in and how each situation unwrapped more layers in Jake and Sami's characters. I loved the ending confession. This is an excellent mystery, suspense, love story. I will be reading the rest of the Edgars family books.

This book actually came as a great surprise because I decided to check out her website and was fairly unhappy when I saw the other books to be 'thrillsome threesomes." I guess to each their own, I just don't wish to read it.

However, this book was a good story, sex was not filthy, nor gratuitous. It is pretty sad when most comments nowadays are geared to bad editing and bad sex.
I really liked the characters, especially the boy. I have actually witnessed traumatized children that would really be amazed at the very same things as Nicky, like his first swimming lesson. He was very real to me. Even in the worst of circumstances, children can still behave universally.

Sami's admission of what her plans were, made me tear up, as a mother, I wouldn't have lasted as long as she did, frankly. Then even I could believe in fate or whatever you prefer, stepping in with other plans.

I hope that if she continues with the two unattached brothers, they are just good stories and not group sex. I never thought I would ever be such a prude, it's kind of embarrassing to be a teenager/child of the early 70s and be shocked at some of the crap being put out these days.
Again, happy to say this isn't one!!!

Enjoyed this book tremendously and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. There is humor as well as suspense and the action moves at a great pace. The characters are well written with a couple of nice twists to them.
I would definitely recommend this book and will be getting the next in the series
