I've read numerous romance novels and many different non-romance fiction books recently that left me in the rut of "what should I read now", romance or regular fiction. I told my coworker that I liked romance novels but still like to have a story that was fun and thrilling with intelligent writing that would make me actually want to finish the story plot. Now don't get me wrong I like the romance parts to keep it edgy but what I get tired of is the typical romance book with the women being a stumbling idiot and the man is the comedian that revolves around them almost/maybe hooking up until it's all about the sex and now story line isn't worth caring about. AKA porn for women. My coworker suggested this book and the prequel telling me that it was a great story that happened to have a great romance in it. Well lets just say I'm right now looking up more books to read of hers. It was a great balance.

I had been waiting nearly a year for this continuation of Charlie and Michael - and it was so worth the wait! Fast paced book, that I was instantly wrapped up in - didn't put it down til I read it all! I truly hope Karen Robards writes another novel to continue their story, I've grown attached to the characters!!

Great love story, funny, who done it murder mystery! I love the paranormal aspect too, especially the sexy ghost, Michael who is drop dead gorgeous and so funny. I can't wait for the next book with Dr. Stone and sexy, funny Michael! If you like a murder mystery that you can't put down, this is a good one to pick.

I love the idea of the ghost and the psychiatrist plus the murder and mayhem and I'm hoping another sequel is planned as they are all delightful characters. Thought it wasn't as gripping as the first one however, but enjoyed it overall.

A crazy tale of affection and concern for those who are deceased but not gone. Can a doctor that lives with this phenomenon find love and trust with another living person while helping investigators on the real life mysteries of her ghosts?

This book is a real disappointment. To date I have read all of her books and really like her style, but these two with her dealing with a ghost just leaves me cold. No more Charlie Stone books for me as long as Michael come along.

If you like paranormal story lines, passion, mystery, and good writing, you'll love this book. I feel like I've gained two best friends by reading this book. The only negative comment I have is that the secondary story line is moving too slow. Can't wait for the next in the series.

This book was very enjoyable. I loved how fast paced it is and complex. You never know who did it and at the end you think you know and it still surprises you. I also like the fact that the books have a steamy section but it isn't pages and pages of it and it isn't the main story.
