Well written and document account by the author wo lived through it all! Excellent descriptions of prison life, and the whole legal process that set him free..... both heartbreaking and heart warming at the same time from a man who did not let the experience embitter hom.

I have been following Michael Morton's story since he was released from prison and this book is his own account of the travesty and injustice that he suffered. This was a great read and I applaud him for giving readers this insight into his 25 years of incarceration. What a remarkable and forgiving Christian he is!

As a criminal defense attorney, this book has been powerful beyond words. I have met Mr. Morton and am deeply touched by his descriptions in the book. This is a must read for all prosecutors, defense attorneys, Judges and Americans!

Inspiring as well as insightful! How those who are empowered by status and in need of accolades totally disregarded societies laws and precepts, and disregard all premises of humanity. Michael Morton shares his journey of strength and valleys of despair, and teaches us that "we need each other" as we look "to the heavens from which comes our strength"!

This story is a well written memoir of life inside the walls of a penitentiary. The story has an interesting perspective from a well-adjusted person who does not belong behind bars. My goodness, what an amazing journey!

After attending a conference at which Lisa Tanner was a speaker, I purchased this book and began reading it the next day. I finished it in two days. The book is at the same time heartbreaking and encouraging, a paradox that Morton pulls off in amazing fashion. I highly recommend this book.

Written from factual, recorded history with heart and feelings in consideration for all involved, Morton speaks of his anguish, astonishment and agony as each day of his nightmare unfolds, and the years required to bring him out of hell, with grace and humility.

Michael's story is the equivalent of a Greek tragedy, a biblical metaphor, and a Podunk railroading nightmare all combined. His description of prison life made me appreciate that the experience of being on the "inside" is much different than I had ever imagined. Thanks Michael, you are an amazing person, and a great writer!

Great read ... don't know how those law enforcement officers can sleep at night. Michael did well to survive those 25 years in hell ... especially when he was innocent. Hope his life is getting back on track.

This book was excellent. Michael Morton retells his experience with grace and honesty. After being wrongfully convicted of his wife's murder Michael spends 25 years in prison. Only by God's grace does he survive this experience as well as display such grace in the process. I am humbled.

A very well written account of one family's struggle at the hand of the "good ole boy" injustice system in Georgetown, Texas. Also the description of life in the Texas penal system is informative and the courage of an innocent man in his fight to overcome this tragic event.

A well written, gripping story--I highly recommend it as a book that is hard to put down. Several friends have read it too and we have spent a lot of time discussing the book and trying to work through how such an injustice could have been done.
