I liked the book very much. Chapter after chapter the plot thickened and it kept you in your toes guessing who was the murderer. I like the twists and turns and just when you thought you knew who did it another person would show up.

I discovered these "In Death" novels at the library, and started reading them. But I decided I wanted to find out how the characters first met. I am so glad I did! Eve Dallas and her Roarke are interesting and their love affair delightful. All the characters have depth. Even Summerset! The setting, in New York in the year 2058, is also interesting.

I love that this author intertwined so many story lines together with out loosing the reader on the journey. I was TOTALLY surprised by who the killer was. I'm thankful to the person who told me about this series! I look forward to reading all the books in the series.
Memory in Death: In Death, Book 22 :: Loyalty in Death: In Death, Book 9 :: Shopping for a Billionaire Boxed Set (Parts 1-5) :: Goddess of Vengeance (Lucky Santangelo) :: Ceremony in Death (In Death, Book 5)

Love the depth and interest of the characters and the dynamics of the setting by city, date, and work done. Fascinating take on what technical things would be different in 2058, yet look at the people and how so little has changed, grown.

There is terrific character and relationship development between Dallas and Rourke in this second book of the "In Death" series. We even get to meet the stalwart Peabody for the first time and see how and why Eve plucks her from the crowd of beat cops. No fan if the series should miss this installment, and if you read it long ago, it stands up well to re-reading. Enjoy!

#2 in an excellent series that will keep you reading til your eyes won't stay open! Things are heating up with the incredibly wonderful Roarke and we first meet Peabody. Addictive, intelligent, interesting and fun to read!

Another good crime novel by J.D. Robb. Never disappointed with the "Death" series. Excitement and never a surprise character at the end. Always a character that was in the book all along but low key.

Fantastic continuation to Book 1. Love the main couple who are fast becoming my new favourite "fictional' pair. Great story lines and the romance is just enough. Have already purchased the next one...

I love this series, it is entirely believable and I hope to experience some of this technology myself one day. The 1st eight books were offered on a daily deal and I bought them all. Then the local library had 10 more on their sale shelf and I got those too.

Robbs managed to cusp the bare, raw feeling of falling in love. The romance was through the roof and the thrill of the catch was just as exciting. I kind of guessed the suspect early on in this one, but exciting nonetheless. As the sequel to Naked, I feel like I know alot more about Eve and Roarke. I enjoyed it. Looking foward to the third.

As always, Eve Dallas never fails to keep me tuned to her life and the way she works. She comes from a lousy background to become a force to reckon with on the police dept of NYC. Love the future time period and the possibilities it creates. Very enjoyable as is all her books.

I am reading JD Robb backwards--but the background in this early book filled in a lot of the blanks about the relationships in the later books. I enjoyed the book and the series. Nora Roberts can probably make her grocery list seem interesting.

Glory In Death is the perfect combo for any genre favorite, be it mystery or romance this book has it all . In the second installment of the In Death Series . Eve Dallas is called to investigate the murder of a very successful prosecuting attorney, Cicely Towers, her throat slashed in a seedy part of town. Eve Questions family members, friends and convicts that Cicely put away , She has no real evidence to put the crime on anyone . While following leads . Another Murder happens to another successful woman a well known actress, killed in the same manner as the first. Eve has a Serial Killer to find and soon cause she may be next. There is link between victims a link that Eve wished didn't exist, her Lover Roarke, knew both victims and she finds herself at odds with him. Eve's and Roarke's relationships takes some hits in this book not only is she struggling with the fact he loves her and she loves him she also has to contend with the fact that yet again he is a suspect in a string of murders. Can she come to terms with the feelings of vulnerability that she feels when she is in Roarke's arms and trust him with her heart?
Glory in Death is a good book, it takes the reader on a journey in the future where murder is still murder and love is still love and Eve always gets the bad guy

I actually own this book but when the opportunity came to buy (cheaply) a copy for my reader I jumped on it. I have re-read these first few books several times. It is nice to go back to Eve and Roarkes beginnings.

The abridged version was well done, but having read the books and listened to the unabridged versions it was a little disappointing not having some of the main characters mentioned. However overall I enjoyed them.

I liked this book because I enjoy the characters J. D. Robb/ Nora Roberts creates. They are real life people. Doing good and bad things. Her main character, Eve Dallas, experiences a whole range of emotions as she tracks down the killer. A great mystery !
