Pitch Dark

This is a fantastic book! I already love Alex Grayson and now can't wait to read AM Wilson books as well! This is a pretty dark book. It is well written and the characters are very real. The story is so real is scary at times. This is a hear breaking, anger inducing beautiful roller coaster ride of twists, turns and emotions. This is absolutely worth a read (and a reread) It's such a fantastic book!

Gripping, Heart wrenching, Riveting, Awesome, Amazing.  I don’t know if there are enough words to describe how magnificent this book was!  When a book can break your heart and then slowly put it back together you know it is one that will need to be re-read over and over again.  Bravo to A.M and Alex on a blockbuster of a story.  This needs to be made into a movie!!  I cannot recommend this book enough!! Best read of the year hands down

I enjoyed this story very much. Whilst the main genre is crime, there is a love story in there. We follow Detective Niko James and he's heartbreak over he's childhood friend, Aislin, who disappeared many years ago without a trace. He won't rest until he had a found her but that's proving to be difficult. No leads. No suspects. No nothing.

A dark read so you have been warned. But a very well written one.

wow!! the title is perfect for the story because this is one dark ass story, well wrote, and kept me reading, i am so glad this book ending with a hea because if it didnt I would of most likely took my anger out on my kindle after everything they been thru i am so happy they got there hea.

It was dark and intense and I loved every second of it. The book just grabs a hold of you till you can't put it down. I went through a phase where I didn't like Niko but I powered through and I'm so glad i did. Loving someone enough to search for them for 15 years that take some serious devotion.

A lot of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat! I don't want to get into too much detail and give anything away. I would recommend this to anyone that likes the dark side

Definitely something that will keep you interested from the beginning. There is a lot in this book. It is dark. The storyline has some good twists in there to keep you hooked right up until the end. There is some triggering stuff with child abduction, so if you can't handle a story with this then I don't suggest reading. However if you're looking to dip into a darker subject full of suspense then this is for you!

I couldn’t stop reading this book. I’ve become a big fan of Grayson’s over the past year or two and this woman’s writing never ceases to amaze me. The collaboration on this,albeit dark, but beautifully thought out strong story is phenomenal.

I waited a while on deciding to read this book, only because of my past. This is an intensely dark drama and so I gave it a chance and and so glad I did. I laughed at the banter between two male characters because it’s so realistic and I cried. Oh how I cried. Sobbed is probably a better way to express my ugly cry’s at times during this story.
I gave you ladies a 5atar review but wish I could give it more. You made these characters relatable, realistic and as a whole it moved me to tears of sadness and tears of joy. You wrote a book that made me feel- a rare feat these days in and of itself. Well done ladies. Well done.

This story could have been very well ripped from the headlines. Reminded me of those three girls held captive in Ohio, Jaycee Dugard and Steven Stayner. I gobbled up this story in a day and had to stop myself from peeking ahead. Had me on the edge of my seat. I was so glad when everything worked out for Niko. Loved this book.

This story was brutal. It was well crafted and suspenseful. But it was brutal. I found my hand on my heart hurting for what was happening. The emotions of "Doe" and Niko were heart wrenching. This story came with a serious twist at the end.

Even in all the darkness the story was well crafted. Definitely recommend.

Interesting read and full of surprises!!! The start had me emotional. I easily felt Niko's pain from what he discovered on the first part. The story and the characters are good and I was easily pulled in into the story! The twist and turns of this book is amazing!!! Loved it! Overall, this book is a good read!!

Her death was horrific, and seemingly long in coming. Another suffered for years, yet lived, unable to remember anything that happened, and maybe that was a blessing. But, unfortunately, the path to justice was dark, and currently untraveled as nothing but dead ends are discovered.

Though justice is wanted, promised, it may not be given, even as Niko, a detective, vows to find out whoever is responsible and ensure they pay. He may not have been able to save his childhood friend, Aislin, something he regrets every day, but he will not let anyone else down.

Niko will do whatever he must to save the woman found without a memory, but will it be enough? Is he trying too hard to atone for his guilt over Aislin's obvious suffering and death? Will this victim persevere and find the strength to go on? Or will her memories return, making everything too overwhelming to live with?

Such a tragic story about childhood best friends Niko and North , this story will drag you in right from the start. The storyline and the writing are so freaking awesome I was filled with anticipation from the suspense and the mystery !! My favorite character is Niko , his unwillingness to give up and keep searching for answers and his compassion to help a Jane doe was amazing ! Great read I loved it !

It was tragic. And very intense. W huge triggers. So take the warning seriously. It’s a dark story but it’s also about overcoming and not giving up. And I love that the author didn’t rush their sexual situation. She understood in that situation it was going to take a long time for her to be ready if ever.

This story will definitely push some triggers for anyone that has experienced abuse. I have felt every emotion there is to feel: anger, rage, fear, ashamed and utter joy. Truly an emotional roller coaster but well worth the read. Life is not a fairy tale, its gritty and real and unfortunately full of absolute horror. Please read - its a Survivor!!

The plot was good and things were incredibly graphic. A lot of swearing in every chapter got distracting. It moved very fast the last couple of chapters compared to the start of the book. A long read, but story kept you engrossed.

You already told me how much anger the hero is feeling, then you add more of the same, to the point you'd think the character is about bust a vein..That made me dislike him. The second issue I have with this plot is that it's OTT--the kind that makes me roll my eyes, rather than feel something for the abused victims.

A very powerful read. An emotional rollercoaster, full of loss,sadness, strength, love,endurance, and overcoming the worst of the worst. An exceptionally well written book by 2 amazing authors! I do not recommend to read if you trigger.

I started reading and got through a few chapters and decided I couldn't stand any more of the pornographic abuse. It wasn't gratuitous sex but was overwhelming. I'm so glad I finished the book because the journey was long and horror filled but also had so many twists I didn't figure out the truth until it was time. My only concern was the many grammatical errors. Please, please have your books edited more closely. The errors can ruin a masterpiece.
