I think I was expecting more information about nine. For example where he was when one, two or three died, what was his reaction to that, who received them on earth when they arrived, his life on lorien... maybe in the next book we'll find out.

I first got hooked on the move & had to read the book, got hooked on that & can't wait for the next one to come out. I mainly read mystery books but like to throw in sci-fi every now & then, I can't seem to wait for the next numbered book.

We meet number nine in "the power of six" and I was very eager to learn more about him and understand him as a character.

The book had a slow start and it took me a while to really get into it, which is why I gave it a four star rating.

I enjoy the "lost files" and find it interesting to learn more about each character's history. I always enjoy the overlap and piecing the books together. Overall, it was a good book.
The Forgotten Ones (Lorien Legacies - The Lost Files Book 6) :: The Last Days of Lorien (Lorien Legacies - The Lost Files Book 5) :: The Search for Sam (Lorien Legacies - The Lost Files Book 4) :: The Omega Superhero Book One (Omega Superhero Series 1) :: The Guard (Lorien Legacies - The Lost Files Book 12)

The lost files (of both nine and six) allow you to experience events that happened in the character's past as they saw them. I feel you get to know the character's much better and have a better understanding of the kind of people they are. From reading the "lost files of six", I was able to see a softer side of six that I hadn't fully realized was there when I read "the power of six". Likewise, "the lost files of nine" showed me the tougher side of nine. If you want to get to know the character's better and how they came to be who they are in the books, then the lost files are for you.

I love this series. Its easy to read and you can get lost in it quickly. Good read for my 12 year old daughter as well. If you like the Hunger Games Trilogy, this is another good one. I can't wait for book three to come out in August. This book about nine gives great insight and satisfies the want to read more.

I read this book cover to cover in 2 days. I Really liked the characters and find it hard to wait for the next story line to come out. It's a book about friendship & love with a good mix of mystery.

This book is great for a background of number 9's life before being broken out of captivity in "four's legacies". It really helps build the character. Please keep this book series going, im loving it.

I love the Number books, they read well, fast and are interesting because you never know what the characters will do or develop next. I think the order is confusing who can tell even after you read them which book comes where. I think not knowing what ultimately happens to these people is frustrating, but maybe there are more books to come that will answer the questions. All in all I really enjoyed all of them and would recommend them to any adult or teen that wants a good read. Good job Master Lore.

I am one of those kids who loves to read but is very specific about what I read so when I went in the library and found this book and read what it was about , I decided to read the book and LOVED the book, and now all the books are on my Christmas and birthday list. This book is great and I recommend this for anyone 10 and up, even adults.!

Loved it! All of characters in the Lorien books are important so it's nice to get different perspectives in the books in the present. It's equally nice to get those characters' backstories and more information about their legacies. Can't wait to read the rest!

If I knew that six and nine would of been included in this book I wouldn't of bought those two on my kindle thinking they would of never been hard copied published. So When I realized both of those books are included I was a bit pissed. The lost legacies were ok but it was interesting the point of view. But I wish we got to know more of what their legacies could of been. It just seemed to easy. But it made me look forward to the rise of nine. Does anyone know how many books are left?

This whole book amounts to I was suckered into getting caught. If you have read the previous book, you are more than aware of 9's fate. While not horrible, we learn nothing worth 3.99. I have learned a valuable lesson, no more lost files. Save your money. If this is like 6's lost files, you will learn all of this when the book comes out.

I was a little apprehensive about getting into Nine's head. One of things I loved most about his character when introduced in The Power of Six was his mysteriousness. He was awesome from the get-go, and I was nervous to really hear his thoughts.

I must say, I was surprised. Although his story starts off differently than I imagined, it sets his character even more. Who he was at the beginning and who he is now are quite different--and very much in a good way. I liked seeing his character growth over this short story and in fact, it makes me like him even more.

Nine's Legacy is a great addition to this series, and I highly recommend it if you are at all a fan of the series!

I loved Nine's Legacy. You get to read from his point of view and learn his story. At the end, Nine was now my favorite of the Garde. This book is perfect to read in between The Power of Six and The Rise of Nine.

As with the other Shorts, we get the history of one of the characters, in this case, Number Nine, who shows up at the end of the Power of Six. Nine is difficult to like in the Power of Six, he is kind of arrogant, cocky, ignorant, etc.
But when you read this story, you fully understand why. This story explains the history of Nine and his Cepan Sandor. Of how they did what the other Loric did, moved around until Sandor got sick of it and then settled down. Sandor is a tech geek, and makes things. You read about some cool gadgets that he makes to test out and train Nine with.
I am still working with the theory that these stories are written by different authors, as the style of writing and the quality of this book was much better, and different to the others. The characters seemed a bit different, but the plot line was definitely better than some of the other stories.
As with my other reviews, this is not about being the best writing, it's about great escapism and having an awesome read of Good fighting Evil, and it is certainly that. So if you can go in with the right expectations, you will have a fun read.
This story also covers how Nine meets with a girl - and what happens with their relationship, further explaining his behaviour and attitude to life.
Overall this was a really good story, another enjoyable read, but probably the best of the short stories so far.
If you want the Lost Files series though – get them as the 1-3 Volume Series, its better value for money.
