It IS true that we bring our personalities to trading. You can lose a lot of money really fast just by being you. Appreciate the way this book shows the attitudes of the winners - we all need a good role model.

Anyone who is interested in the stock market can benefit from these books. Just like business schools present case studies, this book and others in the series provide great interviews with top traders, allowing the reader to see what best practices they may want to incorporate in their own trading.

I am still reading through the book, but I already found it very useful and exciting. Ed Seykota interview is just terrific! The book gave me so many ideas on trading. The best part of the book is that interviews are absolutely honest. I mean I don't feel that the author or the interviewees were trying to hide anything from the reader.

I highly recommend this book to all traders. It's awesome!

I personnally prefer the first part of the book regarding the Market Wizards of the Futures Market ie. Richard Dennis, Bruce Kovner, Paul Tudor Jones and Ed Seykota. I think Tony Saliba is a great floor trader.

Read, absorb, and then keep reading... I've been trading for over 20 years and in the pursuit of always trying to get better I can say with utmost confidence that this is one of the best books. When you need a pick-me-up, read this.. When you need to focus on on what's not working, read this.. I can't say enough positive things about the truly remarkable "superstar" traders profiled and one great plan would be to pick a trait they have and try to master it one day at a time. Ive read all of the market wizards and These books are a great way to get insight on top traders from the earlier days to present. I really enjoy reading these books. I hope Jack writes another one soon.

I have always had a preconceived notion of who and what these high rolling traders were. They have gained my respect not only for the skill they have as traders but more so for what they do with the money.

Trading is mostly about information, but I have found you can have all the info in the world and lack confidence, you will miss some major moves. This book is a great confidence builder in the way of the stories tod by Jack. I found it moving in how the interviewees fell down and got back up only to suceed at the highest levels. Its a great read and I highly recommend it...

The interviews were everything I expecyed and more. Great questions, superb dialogue and perfect insight
into the minds of the best. Being a trader it also gave me some great do's and dont's when it comes to the
difficulties of the trader's mind. It is the type of book I will read more than once due to the numerous recommendations offered by the most successful.

If you're interested in gaining some knowledge relative to making stock market decisions, this is good background material. It deals not only with facts about making trades but also gives insight into the psychology that may influence your decisions.

I would highly recommend reading the 9 Final Words at the end of the book. The author says that "The methodologies employed by the "market wizards" cover the entire spectrum from purely technical to purely fundamental--and everything in between" One of the 9 final words says that "Each trader had found a methodology that worked for him and remained true to that approach".

Market Wizards is fascinating from cover to cover. I am reading parts of it for the third time. The wisdom in this book is voluminous. Now if I would only listen to Market Wizards's lessons when I'm trading...

Very informative about how different traders became very successful using their own tactics and system. The average trader can make money off the markets if the learn how the markets work and have money management skills.

This book will require repeated readings of selections from the extensive index. It has been around for a while and is acknowledged as a primary source for investors. For my part, the first chapter I sampled provided an ah ha moment that I was not expecting. Reading the experiences of successful people is motivating for me and I would suspect for others looking for guidance in the investing community. Highly recommended.

No theory, no what-ifs, not speculation - this book interviews seven of the best traders in the world and captures their own PERSONAL, FIRST HAND experience, which as traders we all know is the only thing that counts.

Bottom line: A truly great and insightful read for any trader or aspiring trader.

As a commodities trader of years of experience, I think this book very good. By rereading it once every year, I constantly realize the gap between the masters and myself still exist, though narrowing.

An excellent look into how the best professional traders got to where they are to become successful and consistently profitable traders. Lots of good advice for newbie and experienced traders alike. Easy read and captivating.

This is a must read for aspiring traders. The interviews are in depth with countless anecdotes and tips that will benefit new traders and traders that have some experience.

I highly recommend it.
