I hate books that are not full stories. With that being said I can say that the way Nadia ended this books sets you up for definitely getting the second one. How could you not? I want to know what happens, and I hope Paige is okay otherwise I'll be pissed at Ryder.
Well let me get started on book two now.
So far the book is good and I want more.

When one is given an ARC book with the expectation of writing a review, the pressure is on. Obviously, every author hopes reviewers like the book, and the reviewers usually approach the task with the same hope. I’ve read books by Ms. Lee previously and looked forward to another good read. Sadly, this isn’t it.
Paige made me want to scream. A woman who is an assistant to a hot film star surely should be more savvy. She completely ignores warning signs, and barges ahead with nothing more in her pretty little head than satisfying her own selfish wants: the desire to learn why Ryder hates Anthony, and why she shouldn’t allow herself to be interviewed by reporters, for example. The character isn’t developed into the type of person one would expect a high-flying movie star to employ.
Frankly, Ryder’s self-centered meandering thoughts and actions turned me off. He’s a hot movie star? What an indictment of the film industry. It made me wonder if Ryder is loosely based on one or more of Hollywood’s notorious “bad boys” of years past. That’s not the “stuff” from which heroes are made, nor good books.
Throughout the entire book there are precious few honorable characters; most are venal, arrogant, brutish, and downright unlikable.
The book is a cliffhanger – that much is said up front – but the story so far isn’t enough to make me want to read the sequel. I am sorry, Ms. Lee ... while my review is honest, it’s not positive.

Ryder Price-Reed is a Hollywood heartbreaker and playboy. Paige is his long suffering assistant. Both have secrets. Both need something from the other what they didn't expect was to want each other too.
I normally really dislike books written in the first person and don't get passed the first chapter with them. So, this was an unexpectedly fun read. I expected to dislike Ryder for being a shallow pain-in-backside but I actually liked him. He was kind, sensitive and confused and totally perfect for Paige.
The book ended on a cliffhanger so looking forward to getting into Book 2!

I received a free copy of this from BookFunnel in exchange for an honest review.
This was the first book I read from Nadia Lee and I'm excited to read the second in this series for the conclusion to Ryder and Paige's story. I've never been a huge fan for the insta-attraction romance stories because I prefer a good build up and this first half does a great job integrating character development into the plot line. I have to say I'm not typically a fan of cliffhanger endings but because I know it's only a two part series I'm okay with it (I don't love it when things get strung out over a trilogy or more). The sex scenes are good and steamy but don't take up the whole novel. And it's always refreshing when the h isn't a perfect string bean model.
The only two issues I have are relatively minor and easy to suspend. The first is something I see often in romance novels and that's the repetitive internal dialogue. After a certain point it becomes frustrating that they're not just in denial about what's happening but that they are constantly thinking the same things over and over again. "I can't fall in love with him/her, that's not the kind of person I am and it would never work. But I do feel better when they're around and I don't understand why." Again, I'm used to it so it's not a deal breaker, I just wish it was less intense of a focus in this genre.
The second is that I found it a little frustrating that Paige was surprised (even a little bit) at all the attention she got, positive and negative, after she and Ryder went public with their fake engagement. There were a couple times it rolled off her like water on a duck's back and she handled it all like a pro. But other times she seemed genuinely naive with the press and their games for someone who'd been a celebrity assistant for so many years. It felt to me like she would know how the things she was doing could be twisted instead of trying to do what she did.
Regardless, I really enjoyed the overall story arc and like I said, I'm looking forward to the conclusion!

Paige was dumped by her boyfriend after finding out she is pregnant. She is also personal assistant to Hollywood's leading man Ryder Pryce-Reed. Ryder gets an ultimatum from his father that he had to get married to receive his inheritance. He chooses Paige to be his wife and she just she just wants a father for her baby. Feelings start coming out of no where for both of them and their pasts come back to try and tear them apart. I loved both of the main characters each one has been hurt and have their guards up. Paige is sweet, funny, and works hard to be true to herself. Ryder is sexy, protective and sort of a bad boy. If you read this you will fall in love and it ends on a cliffhanger but I would still read it. I recommend this because it's has a great storyline, characters and romance.

Full disclosure: I received this ebook from the author in return for an honest review.
A well-above-average take on the marriage-of-convenience-turns-twu-luv trope. The main characters are engaging and believably flawed and Nadia Lee does a great job of establishing their separate motivations for entering into their agreement. She also does a great job of fleshing out the secondary characters, some of whom I hope to meet in future iterations.
The only reason I deducted one star is the cliffhanger ending … waiting for the conclusion.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Loved Paige and Ryder's story. Paige has a delimna; she just broke up with her boyfriend and she's pregnant. She's also Ryder's assistant. Ryder needs her help; a wife for a year. As they spend time together they each want more. Secrets from Ryder's past threatens their relationship. It's a cliffhanger but I still loved it can't want to read the next book. Recommend read

This started out like any boss, secretary marriage of convenience that turns into love.. But it is so very different! I loved Paige. Ryder not so much, but as the story progresses I fell in love with him too. The plot is so different and will keep you right there in the moment all the way to the end. It's a cliffhanger and what a cliffhanger! Can't wait to find out how it all ends.

I just finished zipping through Nadia Lee's newest, "A Hollywood Deal". It certainly kept my attention with the interesting characters (Paige, the not perfect and refreshingly accepting of herself resident of Hollywood) and Ryder (the flawed but person of depth, rich Hollywood hunk). I found their story easy to read, it moves along quickly, the details of the setting are clear and captivating, and I cannot wait to read the next book to see where the story goes next!

This was an excellent storyline. Yes it does end with a cliffhanger but you get so involved in the story that now I can't wait to read the next book. Twists and turns to the storyline were the best. Definitely a very good read. I loved it.

Ryder and Paige have felt an attraction to each other but don't let the other one know. They both find themselves in a situation where their union is beneficial to each of them. But can they make a real go of it when things are stacked against them? Love this book by Nadia Lee. Can't wait for the next one in the series!

I really enjoyed this book which I bought recently after reading the short series about Elliot and Annabella, I was eager to know how the rest of the siblings were going to fulfil their “obligation” to get married in the hope of getting their hands on the paintings their grandfather did of them. This book and the next one focus on the relationship between Ryder the Hollywood megastar and his assistant Paige. I wont ruin the plot, but will say it was just as good as the previous books, but be warned, it has a cliff hanger ending and you will want to read the next book.

Paige and Ryder's story captured my interest from the beginning. Characters are well written and I like the dual point of view, seeing how and what both of them are thinking and feeling. This book does have a cliff hanger ending but this book was well worth that "inconvenience". I would still recommend it highly.

This book was recommended to me by another author for whom I read advanced copies. OMG!!! I loved it. I was forewarned that it had a cliffhanger, but so not what I expected. I loved the plot twist of the antic of the hero's father. But I will say no more, you have to read it.
