This is the story of Sever the Platinum dragon in the Date-A-Dragon series. Sever is the last one to find his true mate in order to get his ability to shift again. While not looking for a mate he takes a job to pose as the husband of a client. Lori is in desperate need of help to stop people from bulling her to move.
Having taken the job Sever heads out west unsure why he feels the need to help Lori. Lori has been left as guardian of her friends son Taylor and his ranch. The people of the town in which live are nasty and bulling. Sever arrives and his desire to keep this simply platonic fly out the window. How do you fight the secrets of Cate's Creek? Will Sever be able to tell Lori his secret? There is also another secret know one knows about. This is a great story and I give it 5 stars. Sever is the Platinum dragon who is feeling the odd man out. His friends have found their mates and he is feeling that he has lost his chance for a mate. Centuries ago, he thought he had found his mate and she rejected him but now he has learned that the woman was just another dragon who changed his shape to trick him. Sever is even unable to work at Date-A_Dragon any more since the house was mostly destroyed. Then Date-A-Dragon got a letter from Lori who wanted a man to pretend to be her husband for a few weeks and offering a free vacation on her ranch. Sever is mysteriously drawn to these letters and agrees to go even against the advice of his friends. He makes sure to let her know that things will be professional in his return letter. When he arrives, he is shocked about his feelings for Lori since his dragon is claiming Lori as his. Sever is afraid that he might be misreading his feelings again and that Lori will reject him.
Lori is having a tough time. Recently her best friend died leaving her custody of his 12 year old son. Lori quits her job, sells her house and moves to the ranch that her friend owns. She is doing her best to love and raise Taylor. However her neighbors keep coming by and pestering her. Nasty pranks are being pulled and the local townspeople shun her. She is hoping that having a big strong man around would cause the problems to go away so she writes Date-A-Dragon. She thought keeping it professional would be easy but Sever attracts her like a magnet.
Together the two have a lot to overcome. Sever is trying to deal with his past and the changes the centuries have brought. Somehow he will have to tell Lori about his Dragon. Lori also have past issues. All the men in her life have left her so trust is very hard. Then the problems with her neighbors are enough to scare anybody This is a great story with some amazing twists and turns. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Sever is a Platinum Dragon and Lori a clueless human.
As Sever answers a letter to Date a Dragon, fate calls to him. A dragon in search of his mate , Sever vertures to a small town to meet Lori and lend a hand.
After weird and dangeous things start to happen, Sever finds that Lori is his fated mate.
Now a dragon with a mate and a 12 year old to protect, Serve turns to friends for help.
The danger seems to be shifters. Cat shifters. Mean and rude. Sever has to find a way to protect his new family while his dragon is locked inside by an oricle's ring that a fated mate can remove.
After 12 year old Taylor takes off, Sever must tell Lori the truth. To save his family he has to turn dragon. Good thing fate is on his side. Lori's love for Sever removed the ring and Sever with Lori take to looking for Taylor.
After finding the shifter cats home, Sever and Lori go on the attack. As Lori saying safe in hiding, Sever takes on the shifters. As the fight takes place , a lion cub comes to help Sever.
Taylor a 12 year old boy has been a shifter all along, takes to his first shift. Scared he runs off . After the fight is over Sever and Lori go to find Taylor. Finding him safe, it's time for their new life as a new family. Together they live and learn a new paranormal way of life with the help of the other dragons. Life can have the happy ever after

Platinum is the third book in the exciting Date-A-Dragon series, and it's a definite MUST read! I knew that Sever's story was going to be great, but this went beyond my expectations. This heartfelt story will capture you from the beginning, and hold tight until the very end. With the complex characters, humor, secrets, angst, intense situations, and unexpected twists, you won't be able to put down this emotional roller-coaster of a story. A fantastic book, and a great addition to this incredible series! 

Sever has felt responsible for he and his friends getting trapped and buried in the avalanche since they found out the truth about what happened. He'd thought he'd found his mate, but it was only a trap by their enemy. He feels foolish for not seeing the truth, and blames himself for everything, even though neither of his friends blame him. Since they've awoken, he has no desire to find his mate, or anything else for that matter, but the Oracle insists that's what must be done. 

Now, both of his friends have found their mates, their business has been destroyed by the same enemy who tricked them before, Citrine knows who his mate is and disappeared before he could claim her, but he's going to find her. Sever knows that he needs time away from his friends to find himself, and he has the perfect opportunity to do it. When he received the letter to the business asking for one of them to come and be a pretend husband for a couple of weeks in exchange for a vacation on a ranch, he knew that it was exactly what he was looking for, and for some reason he feels a pull to the woman who wrote it. Deciding that he's going to go help her, he leaves for the ranch not knowing what exactly is going on, but is determined to find out. 

Sever, Lori, and Taylor have all been through so much pain and suffering. Their lives have drastically changed beyond their control, and they're doing the best they can to make it better. Can Sever help Lori and Taylor figure out what the problem is with the neighbors and the townspeople, and why they want them to leave? What secrets are they hiding, and will it put Lori and Taylor in danger? When Sever figures out that Lori is his true fated mate, he's determined to do whatever it takes to keep his new family safe. Sever, the Platinum dragon, feels compelled to take on the job of pretend husband and protector after reading a letter requesting help from Lori, a single woman living on a ranch in Texas. He doesn't fully understand her situation, but is happy to feel needed again now that his friends and fellow dragons are mated.

Lori is being harassed by the local townspeople. And a particular family has begun threatening her and Taylor, her young charge. Feeling unsafe and a bit frightened, Lori writes to Date-A-Dragon in hopes of hiring someone to come stay with her and Taylor to help put an end to the threats.

Once Sever arrives he realizes the threats are real and the local people are making it unsafe for Lori and Taylor to remain, but he doesn't understand why. Feeling more and more protective of Lori and the young boy she plans to adopt, Sever is determined to discover the secrets of this small town and keep them safe.

There are several twists within that kept me turning the pages. The chemistry between Sever and Lori was hot, and the priceless interactions between Sever and Taylor tugged at my heart. I've enjoyed this series thus far, and anxiously look forward to the next installment, Citrine's story! I also look forward to hopefully learning more about Taylor's father and his family's past.

Sever is the platinum dragon and probably the most damaged of the noble metals trio. Sever was the only one who had a mate before they were betrayed and forced into a frozen sleep until they were woken into the modern times. They learn the truth that Sever was never mated, only tricked to believe he was which leaves him more lost and separated from his friends. Needing to escape the mated bliss his two friends are currently experiencing, Sever jumps on the chance when a letter comes in the mail requesting the services of Rent-A-Dragon.
Lori is desperate, so desperate she sends a letter far away to the only business she can find who will rent men that will travel. She needs someone to pose as her husband so hopefully some of the town locals will stop harassing her about leaving the town and the house she just moved into with her new 12 year old responsibility. Her best friend and one of her first loves died and left his son to her care, he also wanted her to stay in this particular town even though they hate her for some reason. When Sever arrives, professionalism quickly goes out the window as he recognizes her as his true mate and he is determined to protect his new ready made family from the strange happenings going on in town. When the truth of the town comes out, the platinum dragon is ready to play to win. I'm so happy Sever finally got his HEA!!!! Citrine is up next and I couldn't be more excited!!!!!

The platinum Dragon believes he won't ever have a mate. He was tricked centuries ago by Mercury into believing that his mate disappeared. He figures he won't get a second chance. His friends have found their mates, Citrine is off to find his among the wolves, and he just needs a break from all the happiness. The club receives a letter from Lori who needs a man to act as a husband on her farm for a while. The letter calls to him and so that's where he's headed. Lori and Taylor, whom she's the guardian of fall for the platinum Dragon pretty fast. Things seem pretty good except that the people in Cates Creek want Lori and Taylor gone. Things get a little hairy and a whole lot scary as secrets are revealed. I think this is my favorite so far of this series. Off now to read about Corrine and his hopefully mate, the alpha wolf Robbie!

This 3rd story had a plot twist that was intriguing. Besides the platinum dragon and his fated mate a young boy was introduced and his role is definitely a significant one. The boy Taylor has abandonment issues to which his guardian Lori wants desperately to deal with and resolve. The boy needs the male influence and Lori needs a male's protection. This is why she writes the Date-A-Dragon agency; for just a little while she needs a pretend husband. When Sever reads her letter a spark was lit in his heart. He had to help her. But as to "why" he just didn't know. He had been bitterly betrayed before and had stopped hoping for true love. "He didn't really hope to love or be loved again, but he did hope to be useful". He needed to escape his past. Reading this journey that these three made was quite satisfying. There were hints of how Taylor's history could be played out in any of the future stories. It was my pleasure to have been given an ARC of this story in exchange for my voluntary and honest review.

I just finished this book and it was absolutely amazing. It's the third in the rent a dragon series and is Severs story. After being tricked and thought hed been betrayed by former friends thinking he had already had a mate and lost her before being awoken into this world he had basically given up on ever finding her and love again. Then when their business gets a letter from Lori about hiring a fake husband he just has this feeling he has to go help her. She is in trouble but doesn't let on why or how. She also has a twelve year old boy that she has guardianship of with her on the ranch. After he gets there and sees her he realizes she's his mate and will do anything to protect her and the boy and keep them safe. There are things going on that cause some problems but hes determined to not let all of that get in their way. This one is by far my favorite and was glad Sever finally had his happy ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I volunteered to leave a review after reading this book. Well, we have waited for Sever's story. He is a noble dragon. He has had his heart hurt before. Years ago, he thought he had found his mate. Only to be cheated out of a mate. Now, working with other dragons that are new to this new world, he wants to help the business..."Date a Dragon." He reads a letter sent to them asking for help. Sever feels he has to go and help his woman. He doesn't understand why he is being pulled in that direction. But, he goes.... This is Sever's turn for happiness. Can he really find it this time? Can he stay out of trouble to help another? Well, to find out, pick this one up and enjoy Sever's story. Terry did not let us down. She has given us another great story.

Terry, you have another winner! Sever and Lori's story is so special and then add Taylor's heritage and a dragon that wants a family just makes it perfect. I have really enjoyed all your books, especially the Dragon series. Can't wait for more.

Sever gets his chance. As always he has his issues, he is a man out of time. After being betrayed in his own time, can he let himself fall in love? He answers Lori's letters because he feels a connection. Lori is a strong independent woman doing the best she can for herself and Taylor the 12 year old son of a friend. When Sever meets them he knows he will help keep them safe. They will teach him to trust his feeling and to love again.
I read this book straight thru only stopping when I absolutely had to. It is now after 1:00am. Beware this book will pull you in and not let you go! I love it. You will not be disappointed. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Loved it!!! So glad Sever finally got to find his mate. Lori is trying to do her best to give Taylor a loving home after everything he's been through before and since his father died. She needs help and so writes to Date-A-Dragon. Sever feels drawn to her just through the letter but when he gets to her small ranch he realizes he has just met his mate. Now he just has to court her, convince her he can help and then hope she and Taylor can adjust to the fact he is a dragon. Of course, there are a few extra surprises thrown in along the way. Had to read this just as soon as I found out it was live. Another fantastic book by Terry Bolryder.

Another fun book in the Date-A-Dragon series! Sever is getting restless. He doesn't have much to do, since Gold and Silver found their mates. He agrees to take a job from woman on an isolated ranch, without meeting her, after reading her letters and writing back to her. What does he have to lose? She hires him to pretend to be her husband, to keep the locals from bothering her. But when he meets her and finds out that not only does she need his protection but is his mate, all bets are off. Another fun and fabulous dragon shifter romance by Terry Bolryder!

The friendship and finally the love between Sever and Lori grew and then they mated and became one. Very shocking when Sever was fighting against the Alpha Cat and his family when all of a sudden a young lad named Taylor shifted. Taylor shifted in to a Lion Cub. Before the fight Sever had asked Lori to remove his ring from his finger and put it on her finger instead. This brought Sever`s Dragon powers to life. Then they all left that small little town Cate`s Creek. Then they all lived Happily ever after.

Someone finally ripped the man's underwear! Thank you so much for considering how costly women's panties are and ripping off the boxers instead of the panties. Also, why do shifters need to rip clothes? They do come off rather quickly if properly motivated. ???

Ok, seriously , a great story beginning to end and exactly what you would expect from Bolryder. A lovely dessert romance, or, cotton candy as I like to call it.

I loved everything about this book! Terry kept Severs' character the same way he was in the previous books. He went through what he needed to. Lori was an awesome character she sacrificed everything for her best friend. The storyline had twists that kept me engaged and the chemistry was blazing between Sever and Lori! He found his Mate and more! Don't want to spoil and tell too much! Get this Book you will not be disappointed!!!

I loved the storylines, the gorgeous men and lucky ladies that love them. Dragons are one of the shifter groups I love to read about. This series is a great read! Terry Border knows how to tell a story.

Another great story in this series. Might even be one of my favorites. Lori opened her heart to her good friends son after he dies and tries to make a life on the ranch that he left to her. With danger all around she has not choice but to seek help. Sever to comes to her aide to discover so much more is going on and oh by the way he finds his mate. Lori unfriendly neighbors are no match for this dragon.

I loved this book. Sever was a favorite character of mine. I just wished this gave a bit more detail about Taylor's future.. Maybe a future story for him?? The storyline for this book was heartwarming and heartbreaking too. Lori taking on her estranged friend child with out even blinking an eye. Then Sever answering her letters for help. They were watch made it Shifter Heaven! Can't wait to read Citroen's story!

I have been following these dragons ever since I first stumbled across Awakened Dragons. This is about the Platinum Dragon Sever. He has had a rough time of it so when he meets his mate he is afraid it might not be real. But Terry writes about good dragons who appear rough on the outside but are real sweethearts inside. Sever deserved his happy ending and I was glad and happy to read it.

Terry is one of my favorite authors. She could write the back of a cereal box, and I would read it avidly. Platinum has finally found his real mate, not that fake mate Mercury pawned off on him. She is fostering a royal, unbeknownst to all three of them. She thinks she is hiring him to help them keep the ranch, but that proves more difficult than any of them expect. Happy ending guaranteed. Enjoy!

Sever thought he would always be alone because he thought he had lost his first mate. Then he meets Lori and is shocked to find she is really his mate and the first "mate" was a sham. The residents of the town where Lori moved to are so rude and dangerous to her and Sever has to solve the mystery of why.

Hillbilly meets Shifter in the town that Ella lives in with her son. She doesn't know about shifters but I figured it out early on. Still with names like Jud it should have clued her in that something was just wrong about the place. Sever is the coolest dragon. How he immediately connects with Ella and her son is just really cool.

Oh my! This is my favorite of all time favorites. I fell in love with Sever in the opening pages of this story. Such a quiet Dragon but a determined one. He wanted someone for himself but was afraid. He goes to help Lori out on her farm and ends up finding his mate and so much more. There is a surprise in this story that I didn't see coming.

Dragons Dragons Dragons!! I enjoy Dragons, even when they are unsure of themselves. Sever is one BIG man that is very unsure of Love. Thankfully he finds love not only in his mate but his new family. Fun to be had in this journey of shifter in an all new shifter world. Yes TH is giving us a look into more shifters. Love it! Enjoy!

I any relationship it's hard sometimes to find the right word for every circumstances. His heart was there, his smartness in relationship wasn't. I want my dragon to be smarter so he can come up with good ideas so the book could last longer i really enjoyed this book make me realize how hard women really work on each relationship.

This series like all of Terry's books is fantastically written. I'm just hoping she continues to write books involving these characters because I have to know Citrine's story. And I'd love to see what happens with Mercury. Is he truly as evil as he's depicted in the previous stories? Please give us more!

Another winning dragon story from Ms. Bolryder! Lori and Sever both have issues with trust to overcome on the way to true love. The mystery of the townspeople and their harrassment adds another layer to this thoroughly enjoyable book. I read a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.

Another awesome shifter story. This is a fun and dramatic series. Full of angst, action and passion. A Dragon finds his mate but has to fight off some crazed suspects before he can claim her. Not to mention his messed up past or the baggage she carries. Definitely a weekend read.

Finally, Sever has a chance to follow his destiny. A woman and a young boy need help. Sever has a chance to be needed. Sever who has trouble expressing himself and struggles to make things right. Has Sever found a family?

This story is about trusting and finding love all over again. The highs and lows the characters go through make this an amazing book. Finding family and love is what is important. And Server and Lori give you that much in this book.

I really have enjoyed this entire series. I started with the Rent-A-Dragon series first and couldn’t resist this continued story of awakened dragons. Sever so true to his dragon roots finally gets the real mate of his dreams.

I loved the conversations about hair, and the emphasis on the importance of improving one's vocabulary for more quality conversation. I'll be ever so sad when there are no more dragon stories to read.

Our dragon is moping, feeling foolish for being duped. Then he feels mysteriously pulled to woman and child in the sticks. These dragons are strong willed, brave and absolutely immovable once they realize they've found their mate.

Absolutely love this series! Sever and Lori were amazing together! Taylor was such a sweetie and was so lucky to have Sever and Lori in his life. I cannot wait for Citrine's story!!! Highly Recommend this series!

I have really enjoyed seeing the dragons in this series find the mate of their hearts. It is so easy to become addicted to seeing each one fall in love and save the woman meant for them.
I highly recommend this book to you.

Kindle Unlimited no cliffhanger read. This one is different than the other books. She need help coping with raising her friend's pre teen in a hostel town. He needs a break and ends up finding his forever?? Maybe?
