Farrah was not a dragon heart but had been captured along with the other women these evil shifters held hostage. When the other women were moved to another location Farrah was left behind for experimentation and torture. Just when she was near death and completely broken she was rescued by the Dragon Guard, mainly Arsenic and Marina and faced with another type of captivity – her own fears. All she wanted to do was forget everything that had happened to her and the Oracle held out that option – eventually. But first Farrah would be allowed to return home with a guardian, Arsenic, to insure that she was no longer hunted, then the Oracle would grant her wish if that was what she still wanted.

During the rescue and shortly after Arsenic had troubling feelings about this human. The Oracle had made it clear that she was not a mate to any of the dragons, but if that were true then why was his dragon convinced that she was theirs. Guarding Farrah was pure torture to Arsenic as his feelings grew for this brave little human – and all she wanted was to forget his existence. Not much hope for a lifelong commitment there.

I’ve enjoyed Arsenic for some time now. He’s totally rough around the edges, but he came from a far different background from most of the rest of the Dragon Guard. His attempts at cooking produce horrendous, inedible results but he keeps putting what he likes together in one pot… with not so great results. I’ve had a soft spot for this guy and I’d hoped for an amazing mate for him. Unfortunately, I couldn’t connect with Farrah. The more honorable things Arsenic did for her, the more it seemed Farrah set out to hurt him with words and actions. I tried putting myself in her place, thinking of what she’d been through but no matter what I did I simply couldn’t like this mate of a favorite dragon of mine. Perhaps as the series continues and she is involved in the next stories my opinion of her may change. I’ll give her that benefit of a doubt.

(Funny isn’t it, how we readers become protective of characters we know from a long set of series?)

I enjoyed Arsenic Dragon, it wasn’t all dependent upon my liking Farrah. And I’d recommend this story and the entire series to any Paranormal Romance or shifter Romance reader who enjoys action, danger, sexy mates and a group of dragons to care about.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

I volunteered to leave a review after reading this book. This is a great story and tale of Arsenic. Arsenic is an assassin. He is good at his job. But, he is cold..cold in his heart. He grew up and made something out of himself. He is second in command with the dragons on his planet. But, now along with a few others from his planet here on earth to hopefully find themselves a mate. Arsenic doesn't believe he will ever find a mate. Oh, he knows his friends will. But, not him. So he sits and pouts a lot of the time. Until Marina and Mercury show up needing help to rescue a woman. A woman that isn't a "dragon heart." And, if you have been reading this series, these guys need a mate that is a dragon heart. Marina has been hearing a young woman crying for help. But, she is not a dragon heart. Arsenic is the first to offer his help. After all, he is the best at his job.

Farrah was with some of the dragon heart women that have been kidnapped. But, she has been left behind. Her captors hand her over to Crios. Crios tortures her. Drugs her. Does experiments on her. Then since she will not submit to him, he throws her to the shifters that haven't had or seen a women in a long time. Mean wolf hybrid shifters are trying to rape her when Arsenic, Marina, Mercury and the rest of the dragons show up to rescue her.

Can they rescue not just her physical being but her emotional one also? Will Arsenic ever accept there is a mate out there for him? This is a series but can be read as a stand alone. But, I would recommend reading all in this series. This book made me laugh, shed some tears and just made me feel good about life. I hope you will enjoy this book as much as I did.

Thanks Terry for another great story...But, you gotta quit making me cry with the characters. lol.....

Arsenic is the second in command of the Guard and the best assassin. He doubts that he will ever find a mate since he needs to be cold and unfeeling to do his job. Then the dragons get an emergency mission. Marina hears a desperate call for help and the dragons rush in to save a woman prisoner. The other dragons do a frontal assault to give Arsenic a chance to save the woman. Arsenic makes it in and is furious that the shifters there were planning to take advantage of Farrah. He kills them all and rescues Farrah.
Farrah had been captured with another dragon heart woman but because she wasn't a dragon heart, she was not valued. She was taken away and was experimented on. Her life is so miserable that she wishes to die but then her captor decides to give her to his minion shifters to do what they will. When she is rescued by Arsenic, all she wants to go home and forget everything she knows about the shifter world. The oracle pities her and agrees Farrah can go back if a dragon goes with her to protect her. Farrah agrees just wanting to go back to her old life.
Arsenic is confused by his feelings for Farrah. She makes him feel protective and possessive. It almost feels like she is his mate but she isn't a dragon heart. Somehow he needs to care for her but try to be an honorable bodyguard. Farrah has made it clear that she will agree to have her memories erased in just a few days.
This is a great story with Arsenic whose has always felt inferior and unloved and Farrah trying to overcome a horrible experience. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

This is the third book in the Dragons of Drakkais series, this book features Arsenic, known as the assassin, a protector of those around him, and a broken man. As a baby he was thrown away in the garbage and always felt unwanted all his life, but Arsenic worked hard to prove to himself and others that he is a worthy warrior. It's was Christmas time at the dragon mansion, when a job came in to rescue a young woman who is not a dragon heart, from an evil scientist.
Farrah who is a nurse, stops to help a woman who was bleeding after defending several people after a burglary, was kidnapped herself and brought to Crios, a scientist who tortured her, because he though she was a dragon heart. Farrah is then rescued and brought to the mansion, but refused to stay cause of her fear of shifters and want to go back home and start living a normal life again. To Arsenic there is something different about her, to him this is more then a person needing his protection, he volunteers to stay with Farrah for a while, but was told not to mate with her, because she is not a dragon heart and she is broken. As time passes both Farrah and Arsenic become very close, and both afraid to tell each other how they feel, until one night Crios fines Farrah and tries to take her back to his lab.
Once again I am reading a great book by Terry Bolryder and can not put it down until I read the last page. It was well written storyline, with rugged and gorgeous dragons who just want to find their mates, love and protect them forever.

Terry Bolryder has a way with bringing her characters to life and making you feel the pain that they are going through no matter what kind it is. In this book you have two characters with different back grounds that find themselves together with the chance at true love if they are willing to look past thier own fears and the damage that has been done in the past.

Arsenic is the second in command of the Drakkaris legendary assassins. He has never felt that he fits in or is good enough for anything because of his upbringing but will do anything for his friends and their mates. Never expecting he would find a mate when a dangerous mission has him saving a human he will do anything to protect his life changes forever.

Fatah wants nothing to do with shifters shifter being help prisoner by them but something about her rescuer is making her feel thing she never expected.

These two have communication problems and that causes some of the bigger problems for them. But something even worst is coming. It seems that a crisis might be what it takes to bring these two together.

I hope you enjoy.
I received an ARC copy of this book with the option to leave a review.

Arsenic Dragon is the third book in Terry Bolryder’s new Dragon Guard of Drakkaris series. Arsenic is an assassin of Drakkaris and the second-in-command of the dragon guard. Farrah is a human who is captured, tortured and experimented on after she stops to help a dragon’s heart. From the the beginning of the story I loved Arsenic’s character. He is an honourable dragon with a strong, controlled, hard exterior but inside he just wants to protect others and be loved. Farrah has been through a lot and just wants to forget, but when Arsenic volunteers to act as her bodyguard, she begins to realize that all shifters aren’t evil. Sparks fly and a connection is made, but will Farrah and Arsenic open up about their true feelings before Farrah’s past comes a calling? Read to find out! Another great book from Terry Bolryder! I loved the hints dropped about the evil female dragon mastermind. I can’t wait to learn more about this plot line.

All the books in Terry Bolryder’s series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone, however, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself.

I still love these Dragon stories. This is, surprise, Arsenic's story. Arsenic is the assassin of the group of dragons on earth from Drakkaris looking for mates. He has always felt himself a lesser dragon and though he worked hard to get where he is today, he still does not think himself worthy enough to find his mate.

Farrah was taken with a group of dragon heart women. As a lowly human she would have been killed, but a scientist took her for experimentation instead. She wishes they had killed her. When she displeases him he throws her to the wolves and wulverns for their pleasure. Just as she expecting their violation, she is saved by a man who throws blades like they were jelly beans and doesn't miss his targets.

Back at the dragons' mansion, all Farrah wants to do is go back to her life and forget everything that happened to her. She asks to have her memory wiped, but the Oracle asks her to wait awhile. Arsenic offers to go with her to her home and keep her safe.

Find out what happens when a dragon assassin knows he has found his mate, but she wants to forget him.

I was given an ARC of this book. My review is voluntary.

Great book! I wasn't sure about Arsenic finding a mate, but now he is my favorite of this group.
Farrah is a human that was captured with a bunch of dragon-hearted women. Because she wasn't one, she was sold to a lab for experimentation. Crios was an evil wolf shifter who loved to try to break Farrah by doing tons of testing. Including injecting her with wyvern venom to see if she would survive.
The Oracle and Marina are keeping track of the dragon-hearted and missed that Farrah had been kidnapped too. When they realized it, they asked the dragons for help especially Arsenic, because he is an assassin.
When she is rescued, Arsenic is sent into the human world with Farrah to protect her. If it remains safe, she can have her memories erased if the kidnapping. They form a relationship of sorts and now she has to decide on whether to forget or not.
I love Terry Bolryder's books. I don't think I have read any that haven't at least earned 4stars. This one is definitely a 5 star in my opinion.

Arsenic always felt he wasn't good enough to fall in love. Afterall he was the Dragon Guard assassin. What could he have to offer a dragon-heart? All that changes when he rescues Farrah from a villain's lair. Marina has heard her calling and it's up to Arsenic to save Farrah. Suddenly, when he sees Farrah "his heart cracked as he took in her appearance". Unrecognized by him Arsenic feels the calling. Farrah is scared to death of these shifters but they did rescue her from the evil she had been surrounded by. Farrah was human. She didn't comprehend at all why she had been thrown into the evil ways of Crois. But when she looked into "Nic" aka/Arsenic's eyes she found herself looking back at him with a relatable understanding of where he came from and why his thoughts of himself had been so undeservedly low. Their mutual path of discovery was very satisfying.

Getting to know Arsenic in the past stories made me a little leary of his story due to his very gruff and harsh nature, but Terry managed to write a very well written and developed story for him, showing a softer side that was refreshing and sweet, yet still keeping him a real Badass when needed. Farrah has been through a lot but and could deserve a good woe is me pity party, Thankfully she doesn't really go deep into that and when she starts coming out of her shell, she is quite funny and knows what she wants. While there are thankfully few misunderstandings between them, they are quickly corrected. It's longer than the previous books, but doesn't feel that way as the first 8 chapters went by in a blur and even the slower parts weren't a drag. There is a bit more corse language in this book, but it fits given the lead male character! Definitely recommend

I love the crotchety Arsenic and learning about his life helps understand his attitude. Farrah has been a terrified captive for too long. When the Oracle sends the dragons to rescue her, she is beyond horrified to be in a shifter world.
When the Oracle gives her some choices, she agrees to have a protector if she can go back to her home. Arsenic volunteers. Despite a rocky start, they become friends, and more although neither will admit it.
Another character study of the past reflecting on the life we live. Both Arsenic and Farrah deserve a rosy future with the past they have survived.
Another favorite (it seems each new book becomes my favorite with Ms. Bolryder's works. Don't miss it or any of the dragon series'.

Arsenic by Terry Bolryder is book 3 in the dragons of Drakkaris series and a 5 star read.
Arsenic is an assassin on his home planet, he’s from one of the lower classes of dragons but he’s fought hard to become second in command of the dragon guard. Arsenic has a tough outer shell but he’s really a softy at heart.
Farrah has been kidnapped by shifters, she’s then rescued by the dragons of Drakkaris, she wants nothing to do with shifters and wants her old life back, Arsenic is sent with her to protect her from any threat that might still be out there.
Both Farrah and Arsenic have had things tough but they are so perfect for each other ❤️
I stayed up late reading this book and it was worth losing sleep over!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Arsenic is the assassin dragon. He comes from the loneliest low on his planet never thought that he would make anything of him self or be able to be anything until he becomes the assassin for the king. When they go on a mission to rescue a human woman that was taken by mistake and being Use for experiments he never realize that he would have such feelings for her. When you gets there to rescue her he finds her surrounded by many wolves and he doesn’t think a thing about it he just starts throwing his knives with arsenic in them.. He’s deadly but in love. When she needs a protector her he volunteers.. and he hopes he doesn’t scare her to death..

Arsenic is the third story in the Dragon Guard of Drakkaris series. It is a wonderful story. This is Arsenic and Farrah's story. Arsenic is an assassin and the second in command of the guard for the king. He and his fellow guardsman are sent on a mission to rescue a human woman.
Farrah is a captive undergoing torture everyday and about to give up. How do you recover from the horror imposed by shifters. You hope for rescue that is never coming, until it does. The Oracle sends her back to Earth with Arsenic as her bodyguard.
The story has just begun for these two injured souls. Come read their great journey. I give this wonderful read 5 stars. "I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy without pressure to do so".

Thus is Arsenic, Second in Command, top assassin, and the rescued human, Farrah's story. Both are "broken" individuals that need their special someone to face the future together. Arsenic believes he doesn't deserve a Mate due to his background, Farrah wants nothing to do with any shifters after her experiences with the rogues that kidnapped and tortured her, and has agreed to have her memories erased. Can they discover their future together?
As with all Terry's books there is a rollercoaster of emotions waiting for the readers. I have been reading Ms Bolryder's books for a long time now have yet to find one I didn't enjoy, I look forward to the rest of the series of the Dragon Guard of Drakkaris.

Arsenic the assassin believes that he's unworthy due to his origins and rough life-path. When the pleas of Farrah a non-dragon-heart captive are heard during her enduring testing by Crios, Arsenic and the team go to the rescue.
Farrah wants nothing more than to forget, and to go home...but with Arsenic as her protector and Christmas in the air life may no longer be the same.
There are fears for the future and the obsessed Crios is missing and Farrah is his ultimate obsession, will life ever become normal?
I liked the visual effects from the plot and enjoyed looking at a different side to Arsenic. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book

Loved it! Marina, who is training with the Oracle, comes to the mansion to enlist the dragons help in rescuing a woman who she has seen in one of visions is being tortured, even though she’s not one of the fated dragon hearts. Arsenic, because his blades are so lethal, volunteers to go in first to rescue the woman, and as soon as he holds her in his arms to fly her to safety, he feels a bond with her. However, Farrah only wants to go home so the Oracle says she can as long as she’ll take one of the dragons to guard her. Arsenic volunteers and things get exciting! Great book, I loved it. Can’t wait to see who finds their mate next!

Yet again, Terry Bolryder has drawn me into her world of dragon shifters. As always, the plot, characters and writing are great. I love this grumpy grumpy character, Arsenic, who finds someone who can see past the grumpy exterior to find the real person inside. I still would not eat his improvised food offerings but maybe with a cooking class or twenty there might be something safe to eat. This world is very well established and these dragons are treats for all of us shifter lovers. I would certainly recommend this book to my friends. This review is based on a ARC and is my honest opinion.

Excellent continuation of the series. Arsnic is a bit different from the other dragons. He seems to suffer from low self esteem, which does seem a bit odd in a dragon assassin. His mate is convinced she wants to just forget about the entire experience of being abducted and rescued until she figures out that the emotional bagage will hang on but without the memories to make any sense of it. She heals as she processes her feelings, and as she makes many more good ones with Arsenic, she may choose to remember the bad with the good. Much looking forward to reading the 5th in the series.

Arsenic is the protector and assassin of the group. He doesn't feel like he is worthy of a mate. Imagine his surprise when she shows up. Farrah was kidnapped and tortured by shifters. Needless to say all she wants is to forget they exist. Arsenic will do whatever makes his mate happy even if that means her not remembering him. How can fate me that cruel? Is there any hope for these two? Wonderful read. Possibly the best of the "Dragon Guard" series so far.

I love this book. In the previous books, Arsenic has always come off as a bit of a loner and a mystery. He pretty much does his own thing, and doesn't seem to really interact with the other dragons. It's sooooo nice to see him get a chance for happiness. This book lets you in on his background and why he always seems a bit withdrawn from the other dragons. He always seems to want to fit in with them, but he never really knows how ( see his cooking attempts. ).

While I would have preferred to have Zinc's story first, because I feel he is the most in need of a mate, I'm very happy to see Arsenic find the one who completes him. Will definitely be reading this book again, along with all the others in the series.

Another one bites the dust! What happens when the King's assassin meets the human girl for him? Arsenic lead the charge to save Farrah. She had been captured and tortured by wolf shifters and didn't trust any shifters of any kind. All she wanted was to go home. Assigned as her protector, he follows her to her home, to her world. He gives her what she needs, but holds back on what he wants. Can these damaged souls trust in love and each other? Another wonderful Dragon shifter romance by Terry Bolryder!

Arsenic is one of the most dangerous dragons in the Dragon Gaurd, and feels that he will never be worthy of love or a mate. Farrah has been captured and held by evil shifters and has almost completely given up. Arsenic rescues Farrah and knows that she will need protection by someone sweet, kind and loving. He can't stand the thought of any of the other dragons near her, so he will become what she needs. A sweet romance that will gently grab your heart and mind.

I thoroughly enjoyed the third book in this series, and I am looking forward to reading the next one! This story presented its matchmaking pair as reluctant protagonists, who slowly realize they are meant for each other. Several intervening scenarios circumvent their happy ending without overcoming their difficulties and true love prevails. Nice fairytale ending with the adjustment of their original perspectives!!! On to the next in the series!

Loved it! Arsenic never thought he deserved a mate, after all, he came from nothing. Farrah survived horrific experiments at the hands of shifter wolves. All she wants is to forget about the shifter world. That is until she falls in love with a dragon! But she's not a dragon heart, the fated mate of a dragon. Arsenic just wants Farrah to be happy, even if it means she'll never remember him. Will these two express their feelings before it's too late?????❤❤❤

Arsenic finds his mate but his mate isn’t a dragon heart and is also badly traumatized. Love the unique spin placed on this book in this series. This dragon truly epitomized the lengths a dragon will put himself through for the benefit of his mate, with his wants pushed to the side. As usual, this author handled with mature content with finesse. A great read guaranteed to give you the warm and fuzzies!

This is an OK alien dragon shifter romance, but I had trouble liking Farrah. She had been thru terrible things, but it never occurred to her that her choices might hurt Arsenic -- it seems like her suffering should have made her more understanding of others, not less. Arsenic was almost too honorable for his own good, but that seems to be true of all the dragons in this series. I was glad when they found their HEA.

Yay! Very happy for Arsenic and Farah. They both have past issues to overcome, some in the far past and some more recent, which made me root even more for them even as I was upset on their behalf that they had to go through such tough times. Sometimes though, as much as we might want to completely forget some things, they help us to be better and stronger and the sting will fade with time and focusing on good things.

This one stole my heart ♥️. I didn’t think i would like Arsenic as much as Lead (first book) but sure enough i like him more. He is bad ass but blunt and funny as well. Arsenic and Farrah had good chemistry. I miss the other dragons, but indeed when they were together the brotherly romance was explosive. So much humor when dragons interact with each other in a family way. I think Arsenic is my new favorite dragon

I've read all the different series of Dragon books. Each having a favorite character or two for me. The men are alphas but the women are no pushovers to all that testosterone either, they challenge and complement each other. Somehow, this author even manages to write some really good "laugh out loud" lines of dialogue. These books are simple and fast reads with HEA's at the end of each book. This author is a keeper!
