She certainly has kept her father’s legacy going. As usual Anne has written a wonderful interest story. These characters feel like family now because I’ve read the entire series. Looking forward to the next one.

I have always loved both of the Hillerman 's books.
Both writers have their own style and imprint. Ms Hillerman took over after her father's death. I can see more of her in the books.
Great job and keep them coming.

Excellent plot. Characters are well drawn and distinct from each other and from previous books. A nice mix of history and current problems. The main characters are true to the voice created by her father. I look forward to many more.
Vol. 11 (light novel) (Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) :: Making It Right (A Most Likely To Novel Book 3) :: It Had to Be Fate (An It Had to Be Novel Book 3) :: Gray Vengeance (A Tom Gray Novel Book 5) :: Song of the Lion (A Leaphorn - Chee & Manuelito Novel)

I love Leaphorn and Chee and that Ann Hillerman has chosen to carry on that mantle. The only criticism that I have is the mushiness that sometimes appears between Bernie and Chee but, it was less in this book so, yay!!

So glad Anne Hillerman is continuing the Chee/Leaphorn, et al stories. And I love seeing Bernie coming into her own! It’s hard to find a novel that holds my interest lately, but these always deliver.

Amazingly, Ms. Hillerman manages to capture the voice, feel and style of her father's book while subtly adding her own imprint to them. Continuations of series by chosen authors often don't work but these DO!

Ms. Hillerman carries on the superb tradition of describing police work and police-people on the Navajo reservation. This mystery has great twists, fascinating characters and intriguing twists and turns.

This book kept my interest and kept me engaged. It never fails to amaze me that some people will do anything to make a buck. I would recommend this book to anyone whom enjoys reading about the southwest.

Interesting the meaning of the Indian customs and how they were intertwined into the story. Still have an interesting story and who donated $25,000.
Too much of the Indian sayings in the beginning.

I eagerly anticipated the publication of Cave of Bones, and I was not disappointed. Thoroughly enjoyed the blossoming of Bernie's character, juggling work, life and family. Fascinating mystery. Fascinating insights into Navajo culture and locations. My only disappointment is that I'll have to wait for Hillerman to write her next book. Hurry up, Anne! I can hardly wait!

Very much enjoyed this book and how Lt Leaphorn was involved in this case. He has so much to offer, and the fact the characters turn to him for guidance is a huge tribute to him as a policeman. Looking forward to the next book.

Thank you Anne Hillerman. Cave of Bones is sure to be another Best Seller! A very interesting story with a well developed plot and excellent character development. The necessary Reader Clues are there and are very well thought out. I enjoyed this book very much! Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. When I drained my Kindle battery at 3am, I reluctantly had to wait until the next day to finish the book. Anne Hillerman, I'm ready for the next Leaphorn, Chee and Manuelito adventure!!!!

I reviewed the last book. This review will be similar, unfortunately. Anne Hillerman, unlike her famous father who created these stories and characters, spends far too much time and pages on seeming minutiae. The crimes and solving of those crimes are buried under minor side stories and issues about the characters, scenery, Navajo polytheism, continued Manuelito and Chee family issued already gone over and over again. I make it a point to finish books I start but found myself skimming over a good deal of the minutiae that did not in any way advance the mystery issues. Frankly, I found a third of the book boring. Editing the book down 1\3 would have helped the pace move like Tony's books did but (ho hum) Anne is not Tony.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and three others by Ms. Silverman. Will look for more to read as long as there is never the use of foul language or descriptive sex as so many authors are doing now.
I read and enjoyed all of her father's books. Was so disappointed when I could not find any more books by Mr. Hillerman. I am so glad to have Ms. Hillerman's books to look forward to.
